Thread where people are like if we do this/add this/ban this then the server will magically become better and that thing thats not added/banned is the one reason that people have problems on the server.
in my opinion you could make a 200 page document on the rules and still have the same argument, there will always be grey areas. Just look at the law of any country and you'll find the same thing, there are gray areas and thing not explained.
The rules have always been loose and ambiguous at the best of times, there were 100 different ways to avoid and people got banned for stuff they weren't guilty of cause both the staff and player had missed a nuance or addition section
I find base building to be the equaliser, where there are groups who want to be safer and protected from hostilities. It helps build hubs for people to head to, I have had my beast rp in peoples camps.
Bases are nothing new, we used to build tent cities which people complained about before. The main difference now is people can parkour into places. Most bases can be broken into and out right removing them just means people making camps on the far edges of the maps again, The only benefit i can see is being able to run along the edge of the map for free loot.
Some bases may be a bit big but they are not easy to make so folk have put a lot of time and effort to get a small advantage that can be beaten with common sense and some forward planning.
as a wise man once said "Give me 10 good men and I'll impregnate the bitch"

Detailed description of the events: Logged in and after listening for a minute or two i headed down to the tents in the middle of camp, i saw the usual folk running around so i decided to take a peek in the public weapon tent. I started to organise it a bit cause weirdly enough i find that enjoyable. Someones mic was going all static and i heard someone say pheniox you have to go or something. I then heard someone in a joking manner say hands up. I assumed people were just mucking around so i continued sorting for around two seconds till i heard gunshots. I then turned and put my hands up, a man ran into the tent i was in and then was sprayed down by someone.
pretty sure the majority of combat logging is when people log off before their timer runs out, and not the blatant stuff where they log out while in a hostile situation. Like a guy recently got a warning for being 30 seconds before his timer
How do i know when a group is wanting only pvp? well if i look back there was a group that we got attacked every night for around 3 months straight, and much more before i joined. As i said in my post there were some groups who i only heard speak when they initated and nothing else. If they didn't only want to pvp then they wouldn't have attacked us every night.
Rule 2.3 is there for a reason, If you think it may affect you then perhaps you should make sure you understand your reasons for doing things, make sure that you actually have a reason to carry out stuff.
And if your getting blackmailed then report that to staff, in most countries its illegal anyway.
2.3 is so people have protection against being constantly harassed by groups that just look for gunfights and nothing else. Good rule, wish we had it when we used to get attacked daily by the same group, seemed like the only interactions.
I remember some groups that the only time i had ever talked to anyone was them saying the initation
