  1. If it stays full for a while, I try to play on public servers. Doesn't last very long.
  2. I prefer the zombies to be a bigger threat. Even if it doesn't feel right, or is buggy. As long as I actually have to worry about zombies, I'm happy.

How often do you play DayZ?

I only really have time to sit down and play for a while on Thu. nights and the weekends. So if I feel like playing DayZ for all my free time, about 20-30 hours.
  4. I haven't been able to play on normal servers after getting white listed. The only issue that I've had is that after about 100 hours on the servers, I haven't been in any "scary" situations. I've met tons of people and not one of them tried to rob or kill me. It was great for a while, totally different from what I was used to. But I'm kind of hungry for that adrenaline rush again. I want my character to be scared, to feel unsafe. I'm sure I've just gotten "lucky" though since I hear/read about people getting held up and whatnot pretty regularly.
  5. I'm a big fan of the Blaze and the Magnum. The only gun that I can think of that I would want in the game would be a top break revolver with a proper reloading animation.

[IMPORTANT] PSA - Don't log out with cooking pots full of meat in your inventory!

try logging in first, if it crashed you have to make a support ticket on the official feedback tracker Thanks, will do. I'm about to head out the door, but I'll try logging in in about 5-6 hours.

Uh oh. I am currently logged off with meat in a cooking pot. What should I do? I'd like to play when I get off work today.

Rifleman's Guide to Developing your First Character

Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely try some of that out! Another thing I've started doing is trying to get into character for 30-45 minutes before I even start playing. I think that's been helping, plus I'm just getting more comfortable. It tends to confuse my roommates too, which I find pretty funny. And good luck with your App! Hopefully I'll see you in game before too long.

Share 1 random fact about yourself!

I spend the vast majority of my free time in PJ's and a bath robe. Yes, even when I leave the house.
  10. Welcome! Hopefully I don't confuse you if we meet in game. (I call almost everyone I meet, Buddy. hahaha)

The object on your right is now your weapon against zombies, how screwed are you?

A bunch of empty beer bottles... Not too bad!

    COMPLIMENT the person above you

I like your "behind the helmet" post. Really nice touch with the binder paper style and a good read.

Rifleman's Guide to Developing your First Character

Nice guide! I feel like I have a pretty good character, but I am having some issues fleshing him out through voice RP. I try really hard to get into my characters head, and even made him a bit like me to help. But whenever I see people, I start getting nervous and either not saying much, or not sounding like a convincing survivor in the zombie apocalypse. For instance, sometimes when people ask me how I'm doing I'll respond with something like, "Good!!!" all happy and cheery like the world isn't falling apart or anything. Do you have any tips to help out with this type of thing? Or is voice RP just one of those things you just have to do over and over before you start getting it right?
