About AVDutch

  1. Hey guys, me again. So after I managed to mess up my whitelist app by putting in the wrong GUID I was blacklisted, because I managed to put in a blacklisted GUID. I won't go into detail what went wrong but the long and short of it is: I'm an idiot. Anyway, that all got sorted out, and my new and improved whitelist application is in the queue. So without further ado, fingers crossed 2.0: I'm AVDutch a 23 year old uni student. I just put in a whitelist application (2.0). This community seems really amazing and I look forward to playing with all of you as soon as I can! I have the rough draft of a character worked out, and I can't wait to see how he survives! p.s. I may be an idiot, but I'm not banned .
  2. Appeal

I can't find an edit button, "I have certainly never had to input my GUID anywhere today." I forgot to type the word Link to the source of punishment (report/post): No source, I believe there was a mistake with the site http://dayzguid.com/,'>http://dayzguid.com/, which gave me a wrong GUID, which was already blacklisted. Why the verdict is not fair: Because I have never been on this site before today, and I have never had to input my GUID anywhere. I find it therefore exceedingly unlikely that my GUID is blacklisted. Additional statements/comments explaining your point of view: Ok here goes, as I'm a bit confused. Before today I have never been on DayZRP. I was looking for a role-playing server and I found this. Read the rules. The community seemed nice, and I thought, ok I'll put in an application. I put in the application, including where it asked me for my steam64 id and GUID. It took me a couple of minutes to find my steam 64 id, and I put that in with no problems. I am virtually certain I have the correct steam 64 id. When I hit the 'calculate GUID from steam ID' button I got a message saying my steam ID was invalid or something to that effect. No problem, must be a bug or something I thought, and after a couple of seconds of google I found this: http://dayzguid.com/ site which gave me my GUID. I finished the rest of my application and hit submit. It said something to the effect of that the GUID was blacklisted which I considered to be odd but I thought maybe the default was for all GUID's to be blacklisted until whitelisted. So now I'm banned because my GUID is blacklisted, which I guess means that there is a separate blacklist that the GUID that I put in was somehow on. But as I said, I have literally never been on this site before, nor have I (probably) interacted with anybody in this community before today. I have certainly never had to input my GUID anywhere today. The only conclusion that I can come to is that the site I mentioned above gave me an incorrect GUID. I am more then happy to provide my steam id, as well as the link it was derived from (the link you have to put in to the converter), as well as proof (in the form of a screenshot of my steam page together with a picture of me holding my ID card, my steam ID is my first and last name) to an admin to verify that this has taken place. If however, by some exceedingly bizarre twist of fate, it was in fact the correct GUID that the http://dayzguid.com/ site gave me, I would like to know why I am blacklisted as I have not ever had to supply my GUID anywhere before. What would you like to achieve with this appeal: I would like to understand why the GUID I put in was blacklisted. I believe it is because the site I got my GUID off of, after being unable to get a GUID off of the application on dayzrp was faulty. I would therefore like the opportunity to input a new GUID (the correct one hopefully) or an explanation. I am willing to let somebody else calculate my GUID for me, by providing a mod with proof of my steam id / identity. What could you have done better?: I don't really know. Nothing much I think.
