  1. Interestingly enough, I saw someone post a thread about this on the official DayZ forums and it's already been locked... I find that odd.
  2. Pff like it would matter. I can't even skin a boar with this current build, let alone get me a nice tasty human steak
  3. Yes...the gun play is better. You really can't argue with that IMO. You can PREFER the DayZ gun play, but let's be honest. DayZ's gun mechanics are clunky and feel cumbersome. It adds a definite unique style to it which I love, I mean come on. I wouldn't be playing this game for over 500 hours if I didn't love the gun play. But at the end of the day, H1Z1's gun mechanics and gun play feels much smoother. If I had to make a scale and rate the two from 0 to x, that number being how many refrigerators I feel like are attached to my character, DayZ would get a 6.4, (all of them non energy efficient with NO ICE MACHINE) and H1Z1 would get a .3 (mini-beer fridge?) Again, I'm sure we'll disagree, but I think this subject matter of gun mechanics/weapon mechanics can be looked at rather objectively in favor of H1Z1. Objectively sure, H1Z1 might feel easier and simpler because of the click button and take out weapon instantly, but there's no way to either make your gun (if even a little) distinguished from the others. It's just there to be there and you find them all over the place. In DayZ sure you can find weapons easy as well but that doesnt make you the king of the whole world, In H1Z1 having a gun is like getting a rocket launcher to fight a small jeep. Let alone that the switching to guns sometimes glitches your system and always makes you pull out a melee weapon (Had that like 2 times and had to log out because of it) And in H1Z1 there's really no 'mechanic' to the weapons. You find bullets and you don't even need a magazine you just randomly ft them into the weapon. It might be smoother but it's not better imo. But that's subjectively speaking ofcourse. Since when does the uniquity of your weapon have ANYTHING to do with the mechanics of gun play? Or how bullets do or do not fit into certain guns. I think you misunderstand what I am talking about. I am not referring to odds and ends FEATURES of each game, I am merely denoting the fact that the action of turning, moving, shooting, aiming, etc, in H1Z1, is definitely more fluid and better functioning than DayZ. Those are mechanics. Not how a gun looks, not what different kind of ammo you can put in a gun, etc. And don't you think the ability to take your weapon out when you need it is, I don't know, like THE MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER IN A FPS? lol come on my good man!

  5. How on earth would you plan to enforce a rule like this? I'm often playing on the RP servers while I'm chatting with other friends in TS playing other games. I think this is a rather silly idea, personally. If people are going to meta game then they're going to meta game. There's really no way to stop them.
  6. H1Z1 definitely has WAY better gunplay, but I personally don't think you can compare the two. They're completely different games of a relatively similar genre. It's like trying to compare Command and Conquer games to Homeworld and ask which is better
  7. Not only for the RP, but I'm also glad to play DayZ in a way that doesn't get me killed by a hacker every single time I play. No...literally, public servers are unplayable.
  8. Oh...awesome! Thanks for the assistance Edit: It says my application was accepted in green, yet after searching my e-mail, I did not find any sort of notification. Odd Oh well. I have the password and the whitelist so I guess it doesn't matter
  9. I am not questioning the process of the white list, as I know that the top brass has a lot of applications to sift through, but I couldn't find a thread here on in the Information section about HOW I will be notified regarding my application. It's been almost 2 weeks, so I'm just concerned maybe I have been notified somehow and maybe I missed it? Will it be a PM or will it be via email?
  10. That is probably because this server is always full and there are ~120 people spamming to get on at all times. I think it is the same problem other servers have but compounded. Hm. Possibly. On the official DayZ forums I have been an avid supporter of a queue system, but apparently it's not really high up on the list of priorities. I would disagree with it not being a priority, as I think a queue system would save LOADS of stress on servers and help very busy servers run much more smoothly. Not everyone has the money to drop and buy 5 or 6 more servers because the two they own receive such high traffic. I mean shoot, if you monitor your bandwidth allocation when you fresh the DayZ server database, just doing that alone puts LOADS of stress on mine. Idk about anyone else.
  11. What if they're a patriots fan? Can I just hurt them a LITTLE bit?
  12. I play on several other private 50 person servers and never have had an issue with continued connectivity. The other day 3 of my other friends and myself were on a single private server for about 3 1/2 hours no problem. If OP's concerns are legitimate, it may be an issue with these specific servers and not necessarily the game itself. I'm leaning towards the former.
  13. Let's go jogging across Cherno. That makes you not lazy, rite? Ha you make a fair point, sir
