Jacob grew up in an uneventful small village by the name of Bushton where he had a relatively normal childhood along with his brother and sister, Jacob being the middle child. Jacob was always a quiet and composed child, interested in what mother nature had to offer, learning how to create his first fire by hand at the age of 6, along with his ex-military father, Philip, which taught young Jacob a lot about wild craft. Jacob continued to learn a lot about wild craft later on in his life. Jacob planned on following in his father's footsteps and joining the military but found another career in the police. Upon joining the police at 19, Jacob set his sights on joining the specialised firearms unit of the police and did so after 3 years of joining. Jacob's career and life was fulfilling, the only missing part was his late wife Kerry, whom he'd met at the age of 26 and married at 28. Jacob's and Kerry's marriage was relatively happy and successful, despite Jacob not being around much due to his stringent work commitments and his outdoor hobby of hunting wild game. Jacob's career has progressed over the years and he was promoted to Sergeant which meant even more work commitments, it was a bitter sweet success for Jacob as he knew that his marriage was being damaged by it. Fast forward 6 months after Jacob's promotion, in a spontaneous act, Jacob booked a flight to Chernarus and Vietnam in order to surprise and spend more time with his wife. They took time off work and packed their bags in a hurry, looking forward to set off and away from their gloomy island, seeking an inkling of adventure in their mostly mundane lives. Upon arrival to Chernarus after a long uncomfortable flight, Kerry told Jacob that she was 3 weeks pregnant. Jacob was excited by the news and was looking forward to the future with his wife and kid, going as far as purchasing a onesie for the soon to come baby. During this time, an unknown virus was ravaging through Chernarus and the rest of the world, keeping a low profile and not alarming anyone, until the outbreak. One night, Jacob and Kerry were sleeping in their hotel room when they were awakened by loud screaming and banging coming from the downstairs lobby which was located just a floor beneath them. The married couple thought nothing of until they heard the screams come right up to their hotel door which slowly subsided into strange grunting sounds. Jacob got out of the bed, slowly made his way over to the door and placed his ear on it - listening closely. As Jacob was listening, Kerry looked out of the hotel window to observe the complete chaos and carnage that was unraveling outside. People running away from what looked like possessed demons which devoured anyone slow or stupid enough not to run. Jacob glanced at Kerry's face, she back at his and both sensed that danger was afoot. He quickly grabbed his pocket knife from his unpacked suitcase and swiftly opened his hotel door only to be shocked by what looked like a man ripping and devouring the janitor's entrails. He had a sudden look of horror on his face but before he could utter a word or act, he was lunged at by what he thought was a possessed cannibal with blackened, bloodshot eyes and a devilish expression. He quickly stabbed the man in the back of the neck, severing his spine causing blood to slowly ooze from the man. The man did not seem phased by the stab however, continuing to groan and clasping his teeth at Jacob. Jacob and Kerry quickly closed the door and boarded it up to find that the power has been cut off in their room. Jacob covered in thick black blood and his wife Kerry stayed in their room for the next 2 weeks, feeding on what they had in the mini-fridge and occasionally wandering out into the hall to grab food from the food trays, while the madness unraveled around them. After 2 weeks, they gathered all their possessions and left the hotel, sneaking past the heard of zombies roaming the hall and main lobby and made their way out in an acquired vehicle towards the nearest airport, little did they know, all of Chernarus was already infected and none of the public services were operational at the time. Upon arrival to the airport, they noticed that it was crowded with people surrounded by military men with full uniforms and weapons. They approached and were let in but told that there were no other planes were expected to take off to carry them out of the country as the whole world was affected by the virus. In their powerless frustration they spent the next 3 days in the barricaded airport terminal. On the third night of their stay at the terminal, they heard gunshots coming from outside, followed by extremely loud, demonic screams muffled by the walls, coming closer and becoming clearer up the terminal staircase. Panic unleashed within the terminal, people were visibly terrified, cowering under their terminal seats with nowhere else to go. A sudden calm set upon the atmosphere in the terminal, only soft whispers of the terrified crowd. Then a loud burst followed by a herd of zombies charging into the terminal full of people. A massacre ensues and Jacob and his wife are caught right in the middle of it, fighting off multiple zombies and attempting to defend his wife Kerry, getting scratched many times in the process. During the chaos, an opening to escape through an exit door becomes apparent to Jacob. He grabs his wife Kerry by the arm and leads her to the door, through the many raging zombies, only to feel a sudden, strong force from his wife while leading her by the hand. Jacob looks back only to find a zombie latched onto Kerry, pulling her away and biting into her exposed neck. He loses grip of her arm and attempts to grasp onto any part of her body, only managing to grab her hand which contained the onesie Jacob had bought for the baby which Kerry used to comfort herself during the time. Second by second, more and more zombies grabbed onto Kerry, pulling away harder and harder, biting into her limbs and face until she was obscured by the zombies. Jacob with tears in his eyes and his unborn child's onesie in hand turned and painfully made his exit. Fast forward a few years, Jacob is living out in the woods of Chernarus, at one with nature, with no hope or real objective other than survival, a wandering weeping soul with nothing but a gun and the now ragged onesie in his bag.
