My name is Tyrag Matthews. I was deployed to Elektrozavodsk in Chernarus on the 17th. I was scared to be deployed there because of all the stories coming from my platoon but I was reassured by my sergeant leon gomez that things were going to be ok. On the 18th, my sergeant reported to us that all over the city, hordes of non-responsive people were attacking innocent people. We were deployed to the city to investigate this matter. Then reports come in over the radio that the dead were over running another unit and we could not make sense of what was happing. We tried heading back to try and see if we could stop the dead from getting further through are lines but nothing seemed to work. The dead ran through us like butter. Some many of my comrades turned into the dead. We had to shoot our own men. We nearly didn’t make it out alive. On the 19th, we started to move to Chernogorsk. On the way, we rain into more of the dead. In all the confusion, I got separated from my unit. I started to head up to the last place I heard we were going to, Nadezhino, but there was no sign of my platoon or any other uniformed privates. There I was, running low on rations. I found a group of people that gave me food and water and medical supplies. I started heading north and I soon ended up in Putoshka I stay there till the 25th. On the 25th, I got word from a group of survivors that the country was completely blocked off from the rest of the world to try and stop the infection from spreading. Then, we started to lose more and more people from our little group till it was just me, all on my own. Hoping that I could find somewhere safe to hold up, it seemed like the days were drifting by. I did not know what time or day it was. I was weak and could not walk anymore. I got to the point that I could not move anymore. I found myself in a town called Vybor. I passed out on the floor next to a factory. The next thing I knew, I was lying in a bed and did not know where I was. Then a guy came into the room and he asked me my name. Then I asked him where I was and who he was. He said his name is Kevin O Shea and I was in their group HQ. I looked at him and asked “what group?” He said we call ourselves the B.O.A. Then all of a sudden, I heard a familiar voice. I sat up and shouted, “Sergeant Sanchez!” He turned around and said “wow Tyrag! Your alive.” Then he said “you don't have to call me sergeant gomez, just call me leon. Since then, my loyalties have been to the B.O.A. and our survival.
