A former member of the CDC, Siril Hartford jumped at the opportunity to join the entourage sent to Chernarus and study this new outbreak. While perhaps seen as a bit strange by his colleagues, Siril was always one to dive headfirst into new and deadly research, likely due to the messiah complex he was accused of having - he wanted his name in the history books one way or another. With minor weapons training and a rather skittish personality when it came to fighting, the action within the Chernarus absolutely fried his nerves. He underwent a bit of one on one training with a close friend in the UN while stationed at one of the research centers, but ultimately all it did was prove that he wasn't cut out for the military life. With the subsequent attacks and fall of any sort of established government he was a part of, Siril cut ties and fled into the countryside hoping to find some way out of the country, or at least some sort of safe zone where better equipped survivalists or doomsday preppers lived..However after a week or two in the wild, he lost hope and turned to avoiding contact with most everyone. With his paranoia at an all time high, Siril continues to meander through the slavic territory in hopes to find some clue to develop a cure - if not to save the world, then to at least keep himself alive for a few weeks longer.
