  1. For the past few days I've been trying to contact anyone on the open frequencies to meet new people and create potential RP story lines. Does anyone use them like that or is it just me? Just curious if I'm wasting my time trying or not....
  2. -1 from me. This being a RP server is my reasoning. Don't get me wrong, if people want the majority of Chernarus to be scared to venture into NWAF specifically, why not create a group that mainly patrols airstrip and bash (maybe a Chernarussian group) to deter people? If the rest of the community supports the idea, then lets give it a trial by all means. IMO I just think it wouldn't be a good idea. XOXO - Look forward to seeing the outcome of this poll
  3. Narration In Character As Chad switched through radio channels searching for familiar voices, he began to become upset. All the people that told him they would be there for them, are no longer answering his transmissions. "Hello? Is anyone on this frequency? This is Chad. I repeat this is Chad....". Chad muttered to himself. "What the fuck man. What is going on?". As soon as he clipped his radio back onto his backpack strap, he got hit over the head and fell to the ground. "Look what we have here boys". A unfamiliar voice said with delight. "A poor bird that has strayed away from his flock". Chad's head was throbbing with pain. He grabbed the back of his head to feel a stream of blood. "Take his gun and search him for weapons you DICK HEADS! Get your thumb out of your asses now!". A swift kick to the side of Chad's head knocked him unconscious. The strangers grabbed and carried him to the inside of a church. As Chad began to regain consciousness he tried to reach for his gun but discovered his hands were tied with rope. "He's awake". A woman said. "Gooood, we can finally begin. Before we start do you have any requests?". Chad looked around to see if he could recognize anybody, but 4 out of the 5 people that were there all had masks on. Some had ski masks, others had surgery masks, but the person who seemed like the leader wasn't wearing one. "I think he should have our favorite snack". The woman squealed with laughter. As the man approached, Chad saw his face clearly now. The man had a scar from the top right of his forehead down to the left cheek bone, a dirty blonde mohawk with brown eyes. Chad started to get nervous. "What do you want with me?" Chad said with a shaky voice. "We just want to have you try one of our favorite delicacies. That's all lonely bird". The man smiled and he had skin from some sort of animal hanging from his teeth. "You knocked me out and took my stuff just so I could try your food?" Chad said with a angered tone. The man bent down and punched Chad in the face with the strength of an ox. "OK, FUCK! I'll try your god damn food just give it to me so this can be over with". "I absolutely LOVE your enthusiasm" The masked woman said. One of the masked figures handed the leader a knife with a chunk of cooked meat on it. "Open your mouth lonely bird." The man said with a angry expression on his face. "What is it?" Chad asked with hesitation. A pistol being cock pierced the air and was pushed violently onto the side of Chad's head. "QUIT FUCKING TALKING AND EAT THE FOOD OR YOU WONT MAKE IT OUT OF HERE ALIVE" The woman screamed at the top of her lungs. Chad was sweating bad at this point and started to think he was going to die. In his head Chad called out to a god he had never believed in saying "Please Lord. Dont let me die today. Let me make it out alive and I swear I'll do what I can to help people." Chad opened his mouth and took a bite of the "food". It had the texture of a medium rare steak. The woman began to laugh and pulled her surgery mask off. It was a beautiful brunette with hazel eyes. She nodded to the rest of the people, and they exited the church. "You just ate a piece of your fellow man". Chad spit out the rest of the meat he hadn't swallowed. "HOW DARE YOU!" The woman yelled. Kicking Chad in the head, she knocked him out. When Chad came to, nobody was there. Neither was any of his gear. "Holy shit....that didn't taste half bad"...... Chad left the church, and walked down the side of a hill. Looking at the rising sun he smiled. In his head, he was at war with himself. Whether he should try to cook a fellow human being to see if he actually liked the taste, or if he was just that hungry in the first place. TO BE CONTINUED.... MAYBE

    S1 NVFL Near Solnichny Factories 00:42:56 9/11/2019

Chad John POV - We were running north on the east coast. We arrived near Solnichny Factories when we spot a guy on the left side of the road by a bridge. He clearly see's us and takes off running towards the woods up the hill. Masonn orders the boys and I to take off after him. I trail behind from a decent distance due to the weight in my inventory. I pursued up the hill into a open field. I hear Masonn on the radio trying to talk to the man, a couple seconds later all I hear is gunfire. Masonn then says "He's dead" on the radio.

    Staff Feedback: Realize

Link to the situation: N/A Any supporting evidence or notes: N/A Feedback: Realize is a solid person. This man tried to help me fix my DayZ for 3-4 Hours in Discord. He walked me through step by step on theories of fixing my problem. He gave multiple solutions that I didn't even think of. In the end, everything we tried did not work. This man is a stand up guy, with great patience. Thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it. Suggestions for improvement: Keep doing what you do. It speaks for itself.

  9. Dustin James enlisted in the USMC after the September 11th attacks out of anger and a sense of patriotism. Dustin ended up going with 0311 for his MOS, got through basic and infantry school in time to be apart of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dustin was assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit in January 2002 where the unit would be conducting an Amphibious Assault over 400 miles into Afghanistan. Landing at a remote airbase 90 miles southwest of Kandahar the Marines occupied Camp Rhino that had been secured by the US Army special forces while maintaining the first significant conventional ground presence in Afghanistan. The Marines and allied forces moved north to Kandahar International Airport securing a new forward operating base. Marines were able to continue with new missions and build a prison camp that housed numerous Taliban and Al-Qaeda fighters. Dustin made it to E-4 and promoted to Corporal. A few weeks after, he was demoted for groping a female marine. Dustin was back at Lance Corporal but he wasn't too upset about it. Dustin made friends with a Marine named Victor. They had the same taste in humor and quickly became best friends. In 2007, The MEU went to Ramadi in order to secure the town from resistance fighters. While units were clearing buildings and talking to civilians in the area, resistance fighters set up radio interference to block communications between the units operating in the area. Amidst the confusion, the town was under rockets and mortar fire. Explosions were filling the city, hitting homes, shops, killing Marines and innocent civilians. As Dustin was looking around in the chaos, he saw civilians, and his friends mangled bodies in the streets. He was taking cover behind a Humvee, Dustin got out from behind cover and ran through the street. He tried to get to the other Marines taking cover in a apartment building. When he got inside he took a big sigh of relief. The bombardment continued, Dustin was standing in a hall way and heard people talking. He walked to a open door to see fellow Marines trying to get comms/radios to work. As Dustin went to step inside, a rocket hit the room that the Marines in front of him were in. Dustin was blown back across the hallway and hit his head on the wall causing him to become unconscious. Dustin woke up in a hospital. He had a few broken ribs, broken leg and a mild concussion. Every so often, he would think about the bodies he saw all dismembered and torn apart from the explosions. When he would think about them, he would start to panic. Throwing food trays, falling out of the bed and trying to fight nurses who were there to help him calm down. If anyone would so much as look at Dustin wrong for 2 seconds, he would scream "He's going to kill me, he's telling the enemy where I am!", and try to get up to fight the person. One day Dustin ran into Victor at the hospital. They couldn't believe that either of them were alive. They talked about the friends they knew for sure were dead, and how they both felt about everything. Eventually Victor told Dustin "I don't think I can stay in the USMC any more man. I gave all my love, blood, sweat, and tears to the Corp. It was a honor to fight along side you, I hope you make it far in life Dustin. I'm going back home to Boston". When Dustin was eating, a nurse pointed out all the things he was doing. She asked him if he thought he was ok. Dustin replied "I haven't felt like myself since the last deployment". She told Dustin "I think you have PTSD". Dustin asked for her name and she said it was "Annabelle". He asked her as many questions as he could think of, and when it was time for Annabelle to go. He had another melt down. One of the doctors recommended that Dustin should be Medically Discharged from the USMC due to his severe PTSD. As he didn't think Dustin could handle the roles of a soldier any longer. After being Medically Discharged from the USMC, Dustin went back to Savannah, Georgia. He became an employee at USPS working in the warehouse. Dustin was taking medicine that his doctor had prescribed to keep him tolerable of other people. One day in 2015, Dustin was on MySpace and he got a message from Josh Anderson, who was apart of the same unit in Ramadi. Josh told Dustin that he found a great paying job to basically sit around and do nothing. Josh said it was a Private Military Contractor type job. He talked to Dustin about the job opportunity for hours. Dustin told him he would think about it. Dustin went to Boston for vacation in order to go to the Boston Bruins hockey game. While Dustin was walking around the city he saw a man he thought he knew. A homeless looking man sitting on the side of a building. Dustin knelled down and said "V, is that you?" to which the man replied in a startled voice "Dustin?". They stood up and hugged one another. Victor spilled his guts about how bad life was and how he wasn't the same after Ramadi. Victor told Dustin about his problems mentally, and it sounded almost exactly like his own problems. Dustin pulled out his pills and said "Take 1 or 2 of these. They have been helping me stay sane". After that, Dustin told Victor about how Josh had a Private Military gig and wanted to bring me aboard. Dustin saw how Victor was and knew he needed to take the job while bringing Victor with him. Dustin asked Josh if he could bring Victor onto the team as well and he replied "Of course my brother". Dustin and James eventually met the PMC company and got employed. Their job was in Takistan. So they ended up going to the airport and taking a flight overseas to Takistan. Most of the work was doing security in a area that didn't really have any problems. So it was really boring for Dustin. In 2017, when reports of crazed citizens running around and biting others came in, The PMC base locked down. Takistani civilians started attacking the base, with each wave of rabid monster like people, more PMC security fell. The remaining group of survivors decided that staying in a place like this was a terrible idea. We all agreed to move East until further notice. When we ran out of MRE's and canned foods, the PMC group started to live off the land. Hunting animals, gathering fruits, fishing etc. Any military base we came across was usually empty. We would gather more weapons, ammo, food, water, and protection as we moved. Dustin would search hospitals and clinics like a hound dog trying to find his medication. He didn't want to become the same psycho he was in the hospital. After 2 years of moving and stopping, The PMC were coming up short. Some people died from disease, some from starvation, others from dehydration. Most of the members that were lost, were bitten and beaten to death by the crazed civilians. At this point, Dustin only had 3 pills of his medication left. Dustin and the rest of the survivors have made it to a region called South Zagoria in Chernarus. Dustin needed to find his medication and most importantly, a doctor who could help prescribe other meds if Dustin ran out of the ones he had.
  10. Link to the source of punishment (report/post): https://www.dayzrp.com/forums/topic/98417-s2-combat-logging-vybor-10072019-0550 Why the verdict is not fair: The verdict is not fair because what we had done was not against any rule that is currently written for DayZRP. According to JimRP, who handled and solved the report, my friends and I were guilty of Abuse of Game Mechanics/Ghosting. I would like to quote the rules below: "2.2 Exploiting or abuse of game mechanics (AOGM) is gaining an unfair advantage by using game bugs or mechanics in a way that the developer did not intend them to work. Example of exploiting is loot cycling, placing objects inside walls or other places where the object would normally not fit in, driving vehicles underwater, creating impenetrable tent walls, or intentionally using indestructible objects as shields that effectively give you invulnerability." "2.5 Ghosting is switching between multiple game servers in order to gain an unfair advantage. For example, using multiple servers to get past defenses of a base that exists only on one of the servers, change your location to log back in behind enemy lines during active hostile situation or switching between servers to loot the same location twice in order to obtain more loot." I would like to point out what exactly happened in this situation. I was in Vybor with Noah and Tony turned up, I greeted Tony as a situation went down with Noah and the CTF. Noah was trapped on the roof and CTF wanted to detain or arrest him. A situation happened to the south that drew me and Tony down towards Pustoshka, but after a little while we ran back up north to Vybor to find Noah still being harassed by CTF. Noah ran towards the Industrial with the CTF following him and we followed not too closely to provide backup. Noah was having network issues so he asked to relog quickly and he did. When Noah came back the CTF boys had already left and Noah decided to go seek them out to continue the RP with them, while we watched. After a short talk Noah had with the CTF he decided to initiate (which he also broadcasted his initiation over our radio frequency) so Tony and I seen a man pull a gun and shot him down, one man complied and we began to take him hostage. Noah then initiates on a guy with a green armband and after the initiation we began to get fired on by people nearby. (We had heard on the radio about a situation happening at our base in Novaya so we wanted to get there as quickly as possible) Fleeing from the situation, we run north and make our way all the way up north to Novaya, making sure to look back and make sure we're not followed the whole way, which we were not. About 40 minutes passes, we're in Novaya filling our canteens/drinking water at the water pump and once we confirm our 30 minute timer is up ("4.5 Combat logging is leaving the server during or shortly after a hostile situation or when your character is still involved in active role play. After a hostile action has occurred where you were involved, you may only log out from the game after a minimum of 30 minutes have passed since you broke the line of sight with others involved in that situation. This rule can be ignored if the other players give you OK to log out earlier.") and decide to hop to Server 1 where our base is to see what is happening with the on-going situation. I would like to ask, as I am having a very hard time finding the situation, where exactly any staff might see that we abused logging into Server 1 to gain an advantage over the members in the report? After we followed the official-written rule of waiting 30 minutes to log out we joined a totally different roleplay situation and nothing ever came of the situation from the report after we escaped into the trees to the North. Additional statements/comments explaining your point of view: I would just like to state that I think it's strange that I would be punished for a rule that is not implemented or even defined yet. I would like to cite this thread here: (https://www.dayzrp.com/forums/topic/98397-adaption-of-combat-logging/). Clearly a rule saying you are not allowed to switch servers while someone has active kill rights on you is not implemented and as can be seen in the thread cited above a rule like that is not even created, it's being debated by both members and staff of the community. It's very strange to punish people for a rule that isn't listed on the rule page, but also not created and being debated on a thread. Roland however has made a statement on this: "Switching servers while still having active kill rights on you is definitely not OK in a case where it looks like it was done on purpose to use game mechanics and server connections to escape the ongoing conflict. While not defined in the rules, it is strongly frowned upon and can be punished simply with an executive admin decision as either combat log, abuse of game mechanics or rule play, as to us it's clear that it goes again the fair play spirit and allows one to get away from repercussions of ones actions." I would like to state again, that we switched server not to "escape the ongoing conflict", we had already escaped the on-going conflict when we ran all the way north to Novaya and waited 40 minutes, 10 minutes over what is stated in the "Combat Logging" rule. I would also like to say that even the members in the report state that they chased someone to "South Barracks" in North-West Airfield who apparently logged out when they got to him, this was not one of us and further proves that they had totally lost us by the time 40 minutes had passed as we were no where near them. What would you like to achieve with this appeal: Have my points and temporary ban removed. What could you have done better?: I'm not sure what we could have done better. We followed the official rules to the letter and I don't understand how I was punished for a potential rule that is currently being debated in Ryan Shepard's Thread. I'd like to state that I understand how grey areas in the rules can be complicated to apply to different situations, however I think with the entire situation, what was said by both sides in the report and position logs at the times we logged out (along with how we did not continue the firefight from the report after switching servers therefore did not gain an advantage), this situation should be clear in that we were just following the rules as they are currently written and not trying in any way to gain an advantage. Thank you.
  11. I was not called in but I was with Noah and Tony. Chad John POV- Noah and I wanted to get into the PD so we went to the 3rd floor of the school next to it. Jump down the the 2nd floor ledge where we jump on the brick wall and then over the wooden fence boom we are in. I jump off the roof over the wooden fence. Tony comes into town, we here gunshots to the south and take off towards them. Noah radios me and says he's off the roof but CTF is attempting to apprehend him. Tony and I get to the CTF shop where the 2 guys try to close the gate to trap Noah inside. He ran out before the gate closes down the street to Industry. CTF guys chase him, me and Tony loosely trail behind. Noah relogs, radios me asking "Where did they go?". I tell him they left. He says "I'm going to talk to them in private, set up nearby just in case". Tony and I get on top of a industry building. Noah shows up in view and initiates because they took too long to process him. 1 CTF guy pulls his gun and he gets dropped. The other guy complies at first. Noah and I take off running to leave, I see the other CTF guy started chasing us with his gun out because he started shooting zeds. I turn around and try to flank, Tony drops him. As we go to meet up to leave finally. We see 1 guy approach coming from the side of industry. Noah says "Put your hands up". We then receive gun fire from industry, I disperse to take cover, Tony shoots 1 time and radios "I got him". I come back and Noah is telling the guy that is complying to "Wait 3 minutes after we leave to pick your gun up". Noah, Tony and I FINALLY regroup north of Vybor in a barn. We fix shoes and other clothing items. Then head north along the NWAF wall. We got to Novaya train station and logged to S1.
  12. Chad John POV- I was inside of Chips facility when the Time initiated on everyone inside of the camp through a megaphone. The man speaking on the megaphone said something like "Everyone inside, come out with your hands up or we will come in and kill you". Some one inside the camp replied through a megaphone of their own and told the Time it wasnt going to work that way. A short time later (15-30 mins maybe) someone started firing. We were in defensive positions holding angles anticipating the attack. On and off gun fire continued from both sides for a good while. It started getting dark and I didnt have NVGs so I made my way into an apartment building. I heard Chip telling who ever was still alive "You need to make your demands or leave". Shortly after I heard someone open the apartment door entrance and run up the stairs. I opened fire on the man (he had his gun out) and killed him. Another stranger entered and asked "Are there any allies in here?" and I said "Whats your name?" and after exchanging names he left the building. Next person rushed the stairs, I opened fire and I was killed.
  13. Chad had a rich oil tycoon for a father. He saw how self centered and arrogant his dad was and didn't want anything to do with that. Chad started hunting deer when he was 14 years old and slowly began to enjoy time in the outdoors. He had grown up in mansions and serviced by butlers, but he decided he didn't want to live a life like that. He asked his father to hire outdoors men to teach him how to do things from starting a fire to cook, to making makeshift shelter out of their surroundings. After years of camping and hunting, Chad was ready to move off the gird. When he told his dad, his father shunned him from anything that has to do with the outdoors. Instead, his father sent him to Chernarus on a "vacation" to show him that living on the grid was better.
