pavla is not my svoboda it's sofiya genkov [no meta!!]
  2. Pavla was born in Severograd, South Zagoria, in 1995. Her mother was a drunk, and though she didn't abuse her, getting ignored as she slept all day was still disheartening for Pavla as a little girl. Her father treated her better, though he too was also often asleep due to usually working the night shift. Still, when he was up, he would take her on things like hikes, and tell her different things about the world. Pavla enjoyed things like American cartoons and music when she was young, though she still felt a strong connection to her country of Chernarus. When the civil war happened, Pavla didn't lose any of her family, though she did lose a few friends and other people she knew to the Chedaki, and others by right-wingers such as NAPA. This caused her to distrust both extremes of the political spectrum. Still, the tomboyishness instilled into her by her father caused her to join up with the Chernarussian Defence Forces around a year or two before the outbreak. Though, things didn't go as well as expected, since after she was done basic training, she was forced into a non-combat role, running the requisition desk at a base in Utes. It was mostly long hours of boring paperwork, though she wondered if there would ever be action if the Chedaki were to rise again. But something worse happened, obviously; it was the outbreak. She barely managed to make it out alive, and arrived on the mainland with an American who had been stationed at the same base.

"Anarchy, we have hostages. Negotiate or we kill them."

**Bosno shrugs at the words of the vulgar woman on the other end. Not that anybody could see him shrug. "We don't know who will win yet. And well, I'm not sure who he has as hostages. You know one of the women, yes. She seems like a good soul, caught up in the wrong situation, for sure. But let me tell you; there are no 'innocent civilians' in this world anymore. This is the apocalypse, far worse than any war. Almost everyone still walking has killed. It is a shame she is being held now, but if she did not associate with anarchist thugs and gangsters, then I don't think she would have attracted the attention of these armed men in the first place. And trust me, if the Chedaki had her, she would be treated far worse than this." **He huffs. "And can you stop swearing? There is a little girl on this channel."

"Anarchy, we have hostages. Negotiate or we kill them."

**Bosno picks up his radio and responds to Fae. "Stop running your mouth. All the man asked is for the thugs to stop trying to kill him and his men, so he can talk terms. Can you hear the fight going on? The lives of his own men are at stake-- he said he was in a siege, didn't he? I was in the damned Chedaki war, and I know that one must do whatever it takes to protect his comrades. Do not act so high and mighty as if you would not kill someone to survive, or protect your friends. An officer must do what is necessary, but the fact that he offered to work out peace terms means he is trying to save far more than the lives than two, or three, or four hostages- he is trying to save everyone else that is going to get themselves killed in this stupid war. If he must put a bullet in those people, then more blood would be on the hands of the anarchist thugs."

  9. Sofiya was born into a middle-class Chernarussian family, living in the capital of Novigrad. Her mother and father both ran a shop within the metropolitan area of the capital, so Sofiya was used to the bustling of cities. She grew up aspiring to be a teacher, so she always paid attention in school. She was by no means at the top of her class though, as her mind tended to wander a lot. Eventually, her family moved to South Zagoria- apparently due to trouble with hoodlums in the old city. Sofiya continued to study, play, and do other things a girl her age did. Though, her normal life came to a sudden end when the 2009 civil war began. She was only a teenager, but for a long time it seemed like she had simply left the ordinary world and passed into a valley of shadows. Her father and older brothers went off to fight in the Chernarussian Defence Forces, while she ended up in a refugee camp after insurgents attacked her small community, burned down her home, and took away her mother, who would later turn up in a mass grave. This caused her to begin detesting communism, socialism, and whatever else could be associated with the Chedakis. She became a supporter of the National Party, and attended a few paramilitary-themed nationalist events as a teen after the war. There, she began to learn more about war, history, politics, and weapons. Although Sofiya was only a half-decent shot, she enjoyed attending those NAPA events nonetheless. All her family survived the war, but one of her older brothers was accidentally shot in the head by friendly fire and became mentally disabled for life. This prompted Sofiya to pursue a career as a disability support worker after she graduated high school. She eventually moved to Chernogorsk in an apartment with a roommate, and had been living there for about a year when the outbreak began. Her roommate went crazy for some reason, and tried to attack her like a rabid dog. Sofiya was forced to beat her with a chair leg, and must have hit her too hard, because she didn't get back up. She didn't have much time to grieve, because soon the whole city way falling apart. Well, she got away, and has been wandering the ruins of her country ever since. She was seeking purpose, and she found it when she was sitting alone, with nothing but her radio. As she sat alone, she heard the voices of men with a similar mindset to the National Party, giving their rallying cries to the Chernarussian people.
  10. The voice returns, speaking only in Chernarussian. "I believed the communist lies once, and it got me and my family nowhere good. I will go down south."
  11. holy shit i realized that it IS only 500 characters that's FUCKING easy nvm i'm a big retard close this suggestion the fuck down
  12. im fucking HARDCORE man, if i get shot in the head, IM DEAD im not some LOSER who just says "wow im wounded and uh i somehow survived this pls dont pk me!!!" after getting executed by some guy that way, if they develop/survive, theyll have lived through real experiences, not some fake shit where i always survive/win but i cant afford to type up 500 words for each HARDCORE character i make, because a lot of them will die
  13. tbh i do not have nearly enough time to type 500 words for my throwaway/side character's backstory, which i have in my head but am forced to put out in public for people to metagame. it's not like people could just find out their backstory IC, and of course it would be totally impossible for me to actually develop their backstory as i play them, while getting a feel for the type of person that they are via real interactions. in conclusion 100 words is a much more reasonable amount, just so you can have some barebones info at the least. > "you're a lazy bastard swarx, you gotta put effort into your character SWARX, it's not hard to type 500 words SWARX, everyone else typed 500 words SWARX" yes but i wanna play a character that i will just PK the moment they die in any IC interaction. my characters' backstories are rarely interesting so i don't wanna type up "oh wow he worked at chernarussian mcdonalds before the outbreak and his cat got ate wowow!!" then, after typing that shit all up, not even get a chance to RP for 28 days [maybe weeks] cuz ill have to find some other fucker first imo, the people that SHOULD have 500 character backstories are military/gang/police dudes. it should not take much effort to start playing some random ass gopnik civilian with no useful skills whatsoever. the 1000-word backstory for your first char on the whitelist application already serves as a test of your writing skills- you shouldn't need to type 500 more words for every dude you make. i should just be able to choose how much of their backstory i wanna reveal, since it's nobody's business unless someone asks ICly anyway
