Adventures of Viktor Novikoff and Jacob Bowles

Just some screenshots from our journey.
  3. My name is Viktor Novikoff; one of the few remaining survivors on Chernarus. This is my story. I was born in Novodmitrovsk on January 6th 1998 at 12:39 am. My father worked at a logging facility just outside of Stary Yar and my Mother was a Nurse in Novodmitrovsk. Because of my dad one of the first things I took interest in was hunting. The weekends I spent with him were some of the best times of my life so far. Every Friday during hunting season we would take a trip to Lopatino to hunt deer. I'll never forget when I was 12 he got me a cr527 carbine for Christmas. How I miss him dearly. Regarding my Mom, I wish I could thank her for shaping me into who I am today. She raised me with good morals and always encouraged me to be myself. Hell, during the civil war she wouldn't even let me go outside to see my friends because she was so concerned about my safety. It's crazy to think they're both gone. I attended and graduated from school in Severograd. Unfortunately after I graduated we moved to Stary Yar so I didn't get to see my friends much anymore. I quite literally had no Idea what I wanted to do with my life. Going abroad for a secondary education seemed like the best idea. In the meantime I decided to work with my Father at the logging facility. My life consisted of work and doing things a normal 19 year old does. That went on until July 8th, 2017. At work we heard rumors of the CDF troops relocating citizens from Nagornoe and Kamensk for safety reasons. As soon as I got home I turned on the local news and sure enough, those rumors were true. The scariest part was the fact that nobody knew where the citizens of Kamensk were. Nagornoe, Kamensk, next town down the road is ours. Immediately we packed our things and left for Elektrozavodsk. We had a vacation home there that we inherited from my grandparents. The following day we awoke to the news of a Russian bombing and a war breaking out in South Zagoria. Thank god we decided to leave. Time went on as usual for a few days as we started adapting back to the city life. But on the 11th we noticed something strange. A lot of people were fleeing from the east. We heard from one of the refugees that there was some sort of viral infection spreading and that boats were going to depart to Miroslavl. War and a major outbreak causing thousands to flee? That was a red flag for me. We had to leave. I told my Mother and Father to head to the docks while I pack our things. I went back to our vacation house and swiftly packed our belongings. Unfortunately by the time I got to the docks it had been too late. The final boats had departed. I didn't know what to think. At least my parents would be safe but when will I get to see them again? Will I even get to see them again? My mind was racing. The whole city was on lockdown. The following week I realized just how serious this was. US Marines were being stationed in Elektrozavodsk. People started succumbing to the infection and well... had to be put down. That's how I eventually learned I am immune. There were only about 25 of us left in Elektrozavodsk. The rest had died or fled from the country. What was Chernarus turning into? My old peaceful life and society fell apart. I don't know how many are still alive but us survivors must adapt to this new morbid lifestyle or accept death. I know my choice.
