  1. My story, a terrible outbreak. It hit so hard that when the US had reinforced the CDF, it was already too late... unfortunately. My name is [PV2] Day, Levi P. or Private Day of the US ARMY. I am an Airborne Ranger Medic. The 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, my unit, was flown into the Chernogorsk area to secure and lock down the city to prevent anything coming in or out of it. Damn near impossible it turned out to be, as there was just so much... so much dead, but not dead. You could shoot them 5 times in the heart and the monsters would still attack you. They specifically were extremely cannibalistic and incredibly "hangry" all of the time. There were so many of them. We were overrun on the morning of 19 July 2017 by a ginormous wave of the newly proclaimed "Undead" and the riots within the city became all too prominent and frequent. We just could not withhold the mass amounts of undead and riots. The line fell, and it fell fast and hard. There was no choice other than a tactical retreat and setup a FOB to the north. I lost too many brothers after that awful night. 27 July 2018, just ten short days after the Chernogorsk mission failed catastrophically. Our FRAGO to make a Forward Operating Base was ruined as soon as it was finished. The relocation was a fail. The sounds of engines and the smell of human flesh massed together must have attracted the biggest horde yet. So many of us separated apart, there was too many of them that we just had to fend for ourselves by our selves or in fireteam elements. I carried my friend for what seemed miles on my shoulder to a house secluded in the woods. I was separated from all my gear so i was unable to do anything to help my battle buddy, my greatest friend, my brother... All i could do was put pressure on the bleeding, but he eventually died from hemorrhage. My brother torn from me, now separated from my unit, no food, all radio frequencies down, nothing left to do but to get back to my family stateside. My mission, find my unit or anyone with the US flag on their right shoulder. I traveled miles and miles across chernarus. I have ran hid and killed hordes on my own. Man gas tankers are useful, but dangerous, i had accumulated a fractured leg with some shrapnel to the abdominal region, lucky to not have any internal bleeding. So I was immobile for a month and a half before I truly felt comfortable going back out into the “Realm of the Undead”. Thank god for apple orchards and the local livestock being fled from their pens. Otherwise I may not have survived. I found a soldier! Well sorta, he was my Platoon Sergeant, Sergeant First Class Dan. My good friend, unfortunately joined the ranks of the undead. I could not kill him, not even as he trapped me in my room. That is when I felt “comfortable” to go back into the undead world. There are nearly zero signs of living humans since I have been out of my bubble. Except for the occasional gunshots every couple of days or the eaten cans of food lying scattered in buildings. Unfortunately i could not find anybody. I think I am going to go to the military base at the airfield, try to find any signs of the US or anybody living in general. Just one person…. Please.. I beg you God!
