  1. Yeah. Ok... Whatever.. We'll let the admin take care of it. @Dusty
  2. We are ARE NOT apart of CDF. We are a PMC that was sent to the island to maintain order. And the reason we draw down on people is to keep situations like what happened 5 minutes later from happening. A.K.A. I died when an individual who didn't have a gun out or in sight and pulled it out of his bag and killed me. We treated you the same way we treated him.
  3. So in short... we acted based on our experience and story line in game. Rule 5.2 states: " 5.2 Your character must follow our lore and their back story must fit well within the current lore. Your character must behave realistically and appropriately to the different situations you participate in. " Our characters acted in a reasonable way considering the previous situations that we had encountered and participated in. Our PMC background (back story) would give us more of a reason to be rougher with you than we actually were. You just said that the only time anyone spoke was whoever dealt with the zombie, and that you couldn't remember what they said... Obviously you heard someone in VOIP. You're contradicting your previous statement.
  4. @CrescentGentI thought you said I robbed you? Now I was "rummaging through" your backpack? He ABSOLUTELY told you "we're not going to rob you." DayZ isn't a court of law... it's a survival game. It isn't friendly until proven unfriendly. Like I said, " If we encounter someone that we know is a threat or has potential to be a threat, then we do disarm them to the extent necessary and should that happen, we usually leave their weapons nearby so they can retrieve them when we are a safe distance away." Once I determined you were not a threat, you were let go... WITH FOOD FROM MY INVENTORY! You were not harmed in any way. Similarly in real life, if you are a suspect and you run at the police, you will be drawn down on, you will be told to get down and you will be detained and searched... if you aren't the person they are looking for, or are not a threat to the situation, you'll be let go. Likewise, we encountered multiple individuals with guns and have encountered hostile individuals in this server. We consider everyone a potential threat until otherwise proven. A prior situation even proved that method to be wrong as I personally was killed after trusting a group of individuals that it looks like YOU were running around with yesterday, given that they were wearing the same orange armbands as the individuals in your ingame pictures you posted yesterday.
  5. @DustyWill do. He is writing his POV right now.
  6. P.S. @Dusty All three of us are in another TS and we can come to the RP TS if you want to handle this faster.

@Castiel Am I unbanned as well?
  8. @CrescentGent There was nothing to loot from you. I had everything I needed, and if I wanted to loot you, I would't have gave you food. @Dusty neither me or @DeadlyPacman were recording as we decided not to before this game... However, from now on, we will ALWAYS be recording in rp servers.

Kano Eikichiw walked up to my team member. I came out of the police station and saw Kano, at which time I drew my weapon. Since my microphone did not work in game (Ask any of the individuals with me or the individuals I encountered before and they will tell you that I haven't successfully used voice chat.) my team member spoke for me. He told Kano to get down. Kano hesitated and my friend repeated himself. During the time that I drew down on Kano until the time I died, I DID NOT see my team member eating any beans. My team member has stated that he was eating beans BEFORE I stepped out of the station, but not during the actual encounter in question. Me and my teammates had met individuals prior that had seemed friendly at first and then turned hostile, so we had determined prior to consider all unknowns a threat. (Which with our PMC story-line that is attached to our character, makes perfect sense. In our story line, we were put in the area to assist in maintaining order and with that, our group ensures that we ourselves are safe, and anyone we encounter and determine not to be a threat is safe as well, at least while we are within appropriate boundaries.) While I was unable to see from my POV, another of my team members was behind us was looting in the area and heard the commotion and came to assist. Kano drew his firearm and fired. I fired as well and I died. (I believe I missed a few shots but I am not sure as I died within two to three second afterwards) A few more shots were fired (from who I believe was the teammate out of my POV) and I saw that Kano was confirmed to be killed. We have acted similarly in other situations and have not received any complaints. As stated in the admin-mentioned post, we have dealt with multiple individuals in the same way during our last two days on the server and have not gotten any bad feedback until now. While we are new to dayzrp, we have RP'ed for the last 10 years as a PMC, and have not gotten any bad complaints in this context. As stated in my application, I am the leader of my PMC and take full responsibility for my team's failure to RP when they do fail to do so. However, I feel that my team member and I acted according to our characters story-line and in-game experience while dealing with the inability to speak vocally. (hence why my teammate was speaking instead of me.) My team member made it VERY clear twice vocally that "We're not going to rob you." Also, note that I heard my teammate clearly from 10 to 15 meters away, so there should be no reason that Kano could not hear him clearly from 1 to 3 meters away. Note: My voice chat works fine in Teamspeak, but does not work in DayZ, for an unknown reason. In situations where safety allows, I type. In other situations, my team mates speak on my behalf.
  10. Also, I just want to point out that this WAS NOT a robbery. We only access threats and deal with them appropriately. If we encounter someone that we know is a threat or has potential to be a threat, then we do disarm them to the extent necessary and should that happen, we usually leave their weapons nearby so they can retrieve them when we are a safe distance away. Ava was deemed not a threat, so we had no reason to remove her gear and actually gave her food to assist in her survival. We have dealt with multiple individuals in the same way during our last two days on the server and have not gotten any bad feedback until now. While we are new to dayzrp, we have RP'ed for the last 10 years as a PMC, and have not gotten any bad complaints in this context. 11. So I don't understand what was the "bad RP" of the situation. Ava Carter walked up to my team member and I and we drew our weapons. There was a zombie behind her and my team member went to take care of it. I told Ava to get down and I went to aim at the zombie, however my team member was using his melee weapon against it so I didn't have a clear shot. I told Ava to come with me and I took her into a nearby building where I tied her up and searched her for weapons. Once I determined she was not a threat and was just trying to survive, I gave her food for her troubles and told her to stay put until 60 seconds after I left. (To ensure me and my teammates safety.) Me and my teammates had met individuals prior that had seemed friendly at first and then turned hostile, so we had determined prior to consider all unknowns a threat. (Which with our PMC story-line that is attached to our character, makes perfect sense.) Note that we took all precautions in ensuring Ava's safety as we put her in a secure building and closed the door behind us with security posted outside and in nearby areas. Ava was released with all of her gear that she had and was also given food to assist her in her survival. (In our story line, we were put in the area to assist in maintaining order and with that, our group ensures that we ourselves are safe, and anyone we encounter and determine not to be a threat is safe as well. (At least while we are within appropriate boundaries.) Shortly after, we encountered another individual that had the same situation, however, this individual drew his weapon and fired, killing me. Ryan returned fire, killing him. Not to negate her claim, but I would like to understand specifically what part we failed to roleplay.
