  1. COMPLIMENT the person above you

Is always very friendly on the forums and seems like a very nice person. Very dedicated to the community 👌👌👌
  2. My problems are really petty and probably entirely all my own fault. I'm a Uni drop out. I have less than £400 in my bank, barely enough for next month's rent. Both my siblings owe me money. My mum lives abroad, I don't see my dad and he never told my sisters I exist, so I have an entire extended family I'm never allowed to know. I have some mental health issues but they're probably just imagined, like I was depressed but I'm pretty sure that I was just making excuses for myself. Still, the shit I know is real and that I'm actually seeking medical help for I can barely tell anyone about. Five people in the entire world know, and two are medical professionals. One is my mum, there's my best friend and the other is my boyfriend. I can't tell anyone else. I'm not ready. Nobody would understand and the level of life changing shit that would come from telling them now is not something I'm ready for. I'm just about comfortable. I have two jobs but I don't work enough but I don't get enough dates for work, and I'm still waiting on references so I can start the second. I'm just really frustrated and tired of waiting. So I'm pursuing other options. But my landlord, the guy I live with is like 50, he's Polish and he's a family friend. He keeps lecturing me about how I'm not doing anything with my life, that he's worried about me and that I'm not going anywhere, that I need passions and need to find my life. It's every single day and it's driving me insane. I wrote a letter for him that he'll never read because I'm a passive aggressive bitch, I'm hungry and he just held me up in the kitchen for half an hour giving me the same spiel I've heard 50 times before. I feel like a teenager again.

Very good question. I had a few thoughts (rare as they are) on this: 1.) It's the internet. People have more anonymity, so may feel they're able to be more open about their sexuality/gender identity. 2.) If you mean going by the poll, a bunch of people memed the poll, and individual people may have selected more than one letter, so it's not exactly accurate. 3.) hOtTake(TM) - Gaming communities often attract a diverse bunch of people, especially subgroups like roleplay communities, where you often get a mix of people. These are places where people can come and be accepted as they pretend to be someone else, and I think that escapism appeals lots of kinds of people. Do you live in a large city? There are specific social mixing programs in many large population centres that are focused on bringing people together from different backgrounds. If you're looking to meet people from different religious backgrounds you could try visiting places of worship, speaking to local community leaders etc. If you have the time, volunteering with LGBTQcentres will give you a lot of exposure to the different people who access those services. There's a service called "befriending" in my community which pairs volunteers up with members of the LGBT community for a number of casual chat sessions. It's like councelling lite, you don't actually discuss personal problems or anything like that, you're just there to give someone some company and to hang out. It's pretty cool.

  6. "Greetings Imperial citizens, what is going on in this thre- BY THE EMPORER" It was fun having Mick pushed to the end of his tether and be forced to actually *help* people. Getting that friction in and slowly revealing how *not* good a person Mick is.

I get that. I'm always really hesitant to identify with any ideology or "community" because there's always negative connotations, stigmas and internal issues to deal with in doing so. God knows LGBT has its own problems. There's points of contention I have with some Pride parade practices. I don't really like fetishization that sometimes go on, with leather and BDSM displays for example. I get that kink communities have played a big part in LGBT history, but I feel like if representation and integration is what people are going for, then literally parading round in public wearing fetish gear in what are often supposed to be family friendly events really isn't the way to go. Call me prude if you like, that's just my take.

Thank you for your various responses, I'm glad we can have actual discussion about this stuff! I appreciate people sharing their thoughts, opinions and experiences. And thank you to staff for keeping stuff on track, it means a lot. I came out as bi in high school, dealt with a lot of bullying, teasing etc. But one of the funniest things I found was that some of the most openly homo/biphobic kids ended up sitting next to me in class and asking *tons* of questions. At first it was a bit uncomfortable, but after a while I figured out they weren't trying to make me feel uneasy, they were genuinely curious. There weren't many openly out kids at my school, so it wasn't something a lot of students had been exposed to before. After that people just accepted it, and the teasing etc seemed to stop. I guess that's why visibility is so important, it helps combat ignorance. Some people aren't necessarily willfully mean spirited, they're just uninformed and don't really know much about the topic. Taking a minute to explain things can be really helpful for yourself, that person, their attitudes and how they treat other legbutts they might meet later in life. It can also be really tiring though, which is why quite a lot of queer folk don't appreciate constantly having 20 questions whenever they out themselves.

I don't know why I expected anything else

Yeahh but that's technically vidya and mentioning it wouldn't fit with my gay agenda
  12. Legbutts (LGBTs) of DayZRP

I wasn't even intending to make a socio-political debate my guy it was just to find if there were others with things in common with me.

  14. Legbutts (LGBTs) of DayZRP

If you mean the thread, y tho It's not about other people caring. I don't care if people care or not. If it doesn't concern you pay no attention to this thread, it's in off topic for the very reason that it can be ignored. As previously stated I'm just interested in seeing who else is lgbt(etc) in here. That's all. A lot of people in here are making assumptions about motives etc but the thread boils down to this: "who else queer in here" "me" "cool" Nobody's asking for an official thread, validation or a bloody award lmao. I was just interested.
  15. Erin Wellington: Audio Logs 1-4

Have you considered recording an MP3 for your audio log and putting it on Soundcloud or ShareX instead? It might save you a bit of time with recording etc and if you were so inclined you could do your own audio editing, adding effects etc. Still, I like hearing characters' disjointed ramblings so keep it up fam.
