Hostile RP for the sake of Hostile RP

I feel targeted Definitely can't be us, we don't complain
  2. PhoenixCool

Whose roleplay did you enjoy today?

Likewise, always glad to have some RP with you my friend. See you soon!

Can we ban people that do this?

I concur with @About400Crows. We've been working toward this goal since last April in fact. We personally would never throw up a griefing report over removing a wall from the wells. The goal's purpose is to spark more conflict and therefore more RP in the server, not get people banned. This should be taken as 100% in-character. Though, I expect we'll be having more visitors at the compound soon enough as a result.

+1. Being in a KOSable group I can confirm people generally prefer to roleplay over KOS us. I feel like it'll be the same on the airfield, but there's always going to be the thought in the back of your mind that you could get capped at any moment.

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

@Hofer Thought I had taken care of it, let me check again. Thanks for letting me know. Roster changes: Removed @Francis Higgins. Hope to see you again, it was fun! Removed @GaryCash. Forgot to remove him from the roster last time! Promoted @MiniDelvin, @Parzival, and @Sorotiv. Congratulations to our new soldiers, keep up the good work.

    East/Northeast get no love?

I feel like it's because of all of the military locations on the west side of the map. Go figure, huh? Unfortunately people will go where the RP is. If someone went out to the East, they would essentially never get interaction. When the Saviors were in Novodmitrovsk, it brought a lot of attention to that side of the map, though. I think all it takes is one big group moving their hub in that direction.

    Suggestion: biker cuts

I like the idea for RP and the aesthetic, but similar to the biker jackets they shouldn't be the most common items. Biker gangs exist worldwide, but it's a distinctly American culture as far as the kinds of MCs we see on the server. Hope it gets accepted, though! Would be cool to see a group of big guys with their cuts on. I demand that at least one of your members wears it over a light blue denim jacket.

    Wearing Armbands by Factions.

As everyone else has been saying, this has been voted on in the past and received overwhelming negativity. I myself voted no last time, and I'll vote no again. However, when I'm in a group that is KOS-able and we're running in a big enough group, I make my members put their armbands on if they want to run with the posse. It's what we do in the Corp, and it's what I plan to do in the Peacebreakers once we gain enough members to have a decent size group. Sorry, but I have to say no.

It's that time of year again

A big time jump would be sick. Weapons spawn in bad condition and have to be cleaned and repaired, there could be an ammunition-reloading process to replace scavenging for boxes of ammo (which I assume would be rare after such a long time and considering how much shooting goes down even in the span of two years), melee becomes a standard for 90% of the server as a result, have cars spawn with bad condition parts or no parts at all, etc. I feel like there would be less hostileRP as a result, but interaction and diplomacy would be more encouraged since you can't have Ivan Ivanovich in the treeline with an SVD trained on your enemy's head without the gun repair kits and ammo to service and feed the rifle. tl;dr I think this could make the roleplay a lot more interesting, reminiscent of Dying Light 1 and 2. Also, ammo-reloading pls.

Me, Unnxmed, and Quack are all sticking with PB as far as I know. I'll try to contact Gary on discord to help get this resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks, @Voodoo.

Thanks, Phoenyxx! I hope to see you around on the server more often, I feel like our two groups could have some great experiences together. Also, a big thank you for the graphics! Had some decent hostile RP with these boys today at Geneva. Attempt at showing strength failed, had to back down. Got marked. We'll be seeing you in the future I'll bet.

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

Thanks for the feedback, it's extremely helpful. I might get in contact with you about the goals to make sure I'm doing them right, but otherwise I'm currently in contact with @PhoenyxxRP about graphics and I'll do some lore writing in the next day or so and think up some different goals that might make us more unique. Thanks again @Saunders!

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

@noir Sure thing, in fact at this time I'm trying to think of how to make these headers a little more interesting. I'm Kokopelli#9963 on Discord if you want to get in contact. Thanks! @Fae @PhoenyxxRP Thanks for the artwork feedback, and the headers are exactly what you said. I'm not sure of any other way to find good images, so I essentially took them off the internet and did some simple editing to remove as many UN symbols as I could. I'm going to see what I can do within the next few days to at the very least crop them down to the same size, maybe put a border on them, etc. @TurkRP Thanks!

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

I saw it, I just wanted to let you know why I chose it. Since this group isn't officially UN, they didn't go where the rest of the UN went. Thanks for letting me know, though.

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. @Fae could you give me any more insight as to what I should do with the graphics? @Ducky I went off of the official lore stating that "200 UN peacekeepers and some 300 doctors and researchers were sent to Miroslavl where a large research center was established." That's why I chose Miroslavl specifically since I figured that research center would have been long gone after two years, leaving it open for my unique group to use. I appreciate the feedback, and please let me know if there's anything else sketchy with the page!

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

    Thanks, everyone!
  24. Roland was raised in the heart of Montana with his brother Kenneth. He was often taken hunting by his father, and he learned many survival skills just from hoofing it through the forest and mountains for days on end. Trips such as these were seen as leisure time by Roland, and he often put education and such on the backburner to make more time for doing what he loved. He didn't go for the same path as his brother, who loved education, but rather took a harder path. He was typically in and out of jail for petty crimes until he gave that up and joined the UN. He joined a while before the outbreak and was sent to Chernarus to contain it. He was stranded there after the world went silent, and he now leads a major detachment of Peacebreakers in the South Zagorian province. His goals align with his group, however there is always a nagging feeling that his brother is nearby...

    The Peacebreakers [OPEN RECRUITMENT]

ALL MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP WILL BE KOS-ABLE AT ALL TIMES. THAT MEANS THAT BY JOINING THIS GROUP, YOU VOID YOUR RIGHT TO REPORT ANYONE FOR KILLING YOU ON SIGHT. ANYONE MAY KILL YOUR CHARACTER AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON, OR NO REASON AT ALL. The Peacebreakers. A name that brings war to mind. A name that betrays the tranquil blue of a peacekeeping operation long past. The insignia, a globe intersected with crossed blood-red swords, yet flanked by wings. This collection of deserters, survivors, engineers, soldiers, and leaders could be misconstrued as anything other than what they truly are. Brothers and sisters, united against the one true enemy and any that would do harm to those who do not deserve it. The shield that halts the sword mid-swing. The wings that carry the disheartened. The swords that cut down any that stand in the way of safe and prosperous civilizations. The Peacebreakers, UN deserters that left their corrupted peacekeeping brethren behind to form a new faction. One that would strike down the complacent leadership of the UN, protect those in need, and face the Corporation head-on. They protect what's theirs, yet give freely to any that require aid. They protect the ones that stay within their shield through the night, keeping them inside for their own safety, and only allowing them to leave once the sun rises and shines on a new day. Not only to keep them safe from the infected masses, but to save them from the masked men that lurk in the shadows with needles and knifes. The UN was wholly unprepared to handle the epidemic that consumed the world in a matter of weeks. They were sent to where the virus originated, but they were too late to contain it. No amount of peacekeeping and global intervention could stop this. The virus circumnavigated the globe and left humanity limping and broken. The UN didn't fare much better, the chain of command was broken apart and most peacekeeping groups throughout the world were separated from each other. The first month and a half after the outbreak began in earnest was spent trying to eradicate the infected, yet any civilians were left to fend for themselves. The peacekeepers of the UN saw them as distractions from their new goal, reclaiming the planet. Eventually, tensions grew between leaders in the Chernarus group. The Non-Commissioned Officers in Primorsk gathered all of their like-minded brothers and sisters and sparked a coup. They turned on their superiors, who had become docile and complacent with how they were treating the uninfected and the Corporation, had them stand "trial," and executed them. In one fell swoop, a large amount of the UN in the camp separated to form what would become the Peacebreakers. Each and every man took a vow that day to do exactly the opposite of what the peacekeepers had been doing since the beginning of the infection. They searched for traces of corporate task forces in the southern regions of Chernarus and eventually settled in the abandoned UN facilities of Miroslavl some months after they turned on their old leaders. They began running operations to disrupt the Corporation's plans now that they had somewhere to call home. High walls separated the large compound of Miroslavl, named November-Yankee after the old UN headquarters in New York, from the rest of the world. Every day, it seemed like the Peacebreakers had their men training. The walls allowed them to train with firearms, courtyards allowed for storage and other types of training, the many tents that remained gave them plenty of room to house men, and various repurposed buildings gave them areas to plan their next moves. For months they remained in the compound, bleeding the city dry of anything it had left after the looters and marauders took their fill. Cavalry-Scouts hunted the plentiful livestock and local game. Engineers and food-biology specialists worked together to build up farms and gardens within the walls. The situation was finally ideal for them to begin working toward their true goals. More and more people gathered in the relative safety of the camp and contributed to the growing society. No longer was it just a place for the Peacebreakers to build their strength, it was a port in the figurative storm for the people of Miroslavl and the surrounding area. The camp enforced strict laws and an even stricter curfew, but the people there were safe. Thieves were sent to the gallows, while law-abiding and upstanding citizens were given opportunities to work at government positions. Some were diplomats, some decided to be simple pencil-pushers. Nearly everyone who was there to stay found some way to contribute. A year and a half was spent remaining in the compound and gathering strength. More men were needed if they were to accomplish what they were now setting out to do. In the early hours of November 8th, a small selection of soldiers and engineers set out with plentiful supplies in one of the group's few vehicles. Their objective was simple; Establish Geneva at a defensible town to prepare for reinforcements to arrive. Major Roland Pentz took his detachment first to the town of Kamenka, a coastal village that crowded along the highway. With Kamenka a barren and indefensible location that lacked the soil for planting, the Major decided to move inland somewhat to the town of Pavlovo. Pavlovo was a little hamlet in the western regions of South Zagoria, its flat ground and tight-knit design was perfect for constructing walls and towers. The essentials were tended to first, a perimeter to keep the infected out and a small patch of crops to keep the men fed. The story brings us here, at long last. With Geneva well on its way to becoming a bastion of light in the forever dark wasteland of South Zagoria, it was time to begin focusing on the prison complex to the south.
