    what up nerds

Welcome welcome. Hope I get to see ya in-game at some point. Especially if you have duct tape, or a pair of shoes! Jk. Maybe.
  3. Welcome! Hope to see you around in the server!
  4. Welcome! Of course, thanks for your service, but I'll still rob you for your shoes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Tough times
  5. *Marty finally places the battery in the PA System for the final test with all his new radio gear he's been scavenging, and rigging together. After many weeks, he fires up the microphone* https://soundcloud.com/darren-jones-732980585/973-kam-e *Marty then lies down, and gets ready for bed. It's been a long week*
  6. *Marty sits down in a church pew, and before taking his rest, he hears the commotion over the radio* *He pushes his PTT button, and thinks for a second* "I got your back friend. We're in a tough land, far far from home. We need to bring some decency to this place" *He releases the PTT button, and hangs his radio up on the wall*
  7. Lonesome Ranger, stumbling his way through the apocalypse. He was on a vacation trip out to Russia for a scheduled fan meetup, when everything started happening with the infected he fled fleeing south. Through the woods, making small camps and moving constantly is how he has stayed alive thus far. (Will update with more after first play session with him. Depending on how much I enjoy playing him I may not continue forward with his story)
  8. Hello everyone, I would like to start by saying that I've never been massively involved in the community or anything like that, though I have been around for a pretty decent while. I've been gone because I've been burnt out with DayZ for a while, but after playing today and getting into some good role-play, I've had that spark "reignited" so to speak. I would like to say thank you to everyone who's managed to keep this community up and stable, especially with the game itself in the place where it is currently. Just wanted to say hey, and I look forward to seeing all of you IC. Good luck, and safe travels.
  9. It's been a long time since I've been on the server, but on my return I was delighted with some great roleplay with @Sophie and @Niccokick Thanks for the good return back, and it was interesting learning bits of information about your characters
  10. It was long after the infection started, that I was aware of it's scale. I am a native born American. I moved to Chernarus in late 2012. I became a police officer because I like to help people, and I like being outdoors whenever possible, and I can't stand repetitive jobs. I really did enjoy my work, but that kind of all changed on the 7th of October. I was sitting in the department at Stary Sobor when I received an emergency call from an officer screaming saying "there is something really wrong, we need help now." In an instant after that transmission, multiple departments were assigned to go to the source of the call. I called my wife and told her what was going on, on my way to Myshkino which was the source of the call. I was around 5 minutes away when I noticed something in the road. I pulled over and turned on my emergency lights. I asked the man if he was ok but he just laid there, holding his chest and moaning in pain. I turned by back, to grab my radio, and before I even noticed something hit me in the back hard. I fell down, but pulled off the cars mirror with me. Whatever he... it... was I had to kill it. I took the end of the mirror and stabbed in through the neck and pushed it off. I sat down in my car only to be shocked with my adrenaline starting to fade, and the pain from the fight set in. I tried radioing back to dispatch to alert them of the situation but I didn't receive any type of call back. I drove back to my house at Rogovo, only to find the city riddled with broken windows, and trash in the street. I walked up to my front door, and noticed that it was already open. I walked in and yelled for my wife, but didn't get response. I then ran to the bedroom, knocking over the diner table in the way and opened the bedroom door. There was nothing in there, the window was smashed. I ran outside, and noticed that it started raining. I searched all through the night, and repeated for the next few days. I haven't found anything leading to her presence as of yet, but I'm not done looking.

    Official Mentor Program - [CLOSED]

Your IG Name and what are you interested in learning about Hero RP, Survivor RP, Hostile RP, Hostage RP, Military RP, Group RP, Text RP and General Knowledge. )?: My In-Game name is 'Darren Jones' I would like to learn more in the realms of Hostile & Hostage RP. What Timezone are you from and what time's do you usually play? My timezone is (GMT-5) and I generally play in the late night / early morning times. How were you directed to the Mentors thread (Word to- mouth, friends, report verdict, forums)? I remembered seeing the original post a long time ago, and figured I'd like to learn the ropes of hostile RP. If you had to judge yourself and your Roleplay. What do you say you do best and what would you like to learn about or improve on? I believe I play the neutral/good survivalist role fairly well, although I've never had a chance to really learn the hostile side of role-play, as I've always been worried about creating an awkward / boring situation for the people involved.

    108.7 MHz (Open Frequency)

*Darren lays up in the corner of an abandoned hunting shack, and decides it's time to explain what's going on* "Hey... Chief... I uhh.. I got into some trouble up north, and I haven't been able to be in contact. I took a gunshot wound to the thigh, but nothing too serious. I've been fighting the infection, and just trying to survive lately. There's no way I could've been down there, or bring that burden on any of you. Are we still at the same place? I can't wait to get back home. I'll be in touch." *Darren puts up his radio, and begins to check all of his belongings before making the dreaded trek back down south. *
