Tbh if Sonic the Hedgehog initiated on me, told me to suck dick and then gassed me after 47 seconds of shit talking, I'd probably throw up a report too. Say what you want about the validity of the kills but there was so much more to that report than just the hostages dying, which seems to have just been glossed over like nothing else matters.

The whole "keep your fucking mouth shut" argument to kill someone is fucking weak. It's called roleplay. Deal with it in roleplay. After multiple instances of snarky behaviour? Yeah sure, I'll give you that one. After a few seconds? Fuck no. I know that multiple staff members are involved in verdicts, but having a friend write the actual thing is a big fucking no. If I had ANY reason to be called biased in a report (even if I wasn't involved in a group with the individuals) you bet your ass I wouldn't be touching it with a ten foot poll. There are lots of ways to be biased and they're not always as simple as being in an approved group with one another. There are more than enough reports to get your activity up somewhere else, than handling ones with friends in them. False report? That one is getting thrown around a lot more than it used to. Used to mean when someone put up a report for the sole purpose of being petty and when it's clear no rule break was done. I don't see that here. There were multiple instances in which there were potential rule breaks, and reporting someone on such potential rule breaks should not be punishable. I mean... Isn't the staff slang still "if you feel there was a rule break, put up a report"?

I just wanna thank some people who've been putting up with me and the amazing RP they've been providing in the last week or so. @Dino - You and I have a amazing story going on at the moment, and I love the effort and dedication you're putting in to each encounter even when you're dead tired. I hope I am pushing you out of some comfort zones and really allowing you to explore RP you seemed to be interested in! Just knowing you'll wait to get in game to further the RP we have is a warming feeling I have in my heart. I'm sorry my online time has been so sparse and I can't always game for long, and when I can it's cut short by something! @Ouromov - Snek! Haha, picking you up was a great choice in my mind, you're a seasoned and well rounded RP'er with the subtle dedication and ability to know when to allow others to take the spotlight and when you can shine. I hope I can give you all the opportunities you deserve to showcase how much of a great RP'er you really are to everyone else! @Stagsview @Para @Bot Elmo and the rest of Dead Batteries - Having you guys as hostileRPers has been a blast, I know I can trust everyone of you and your group with your RP and your absolute dedication to RP and story line/character progression. I know I can trust you not to yeet me when I hit the wrong button, or say the wrong thing and that is a comforting thought. After all RP is a two way street and being able to explore roles and experiences together is amazing specially when there's understanding and trust. You allow the HostileRP experience to really be the best it possibly can be. From the Feedback you request and actually take into consideration rather than a curt "thanks" and moving on, to the OOC things ask you ask before engaging in a intense RP session is bar none! Legit, bravo! I love that our characters have a storyline going and I hope to see it progress more and more. In short, I want to make your characters live on forever in drawings and stories, you mean that much to me. @Kase and the Mac Tire group - Coming to you was a wonderful RP choice and I am happy it's played out the way it has, while we're (Us three) not the direct aim of the group I am still happy to be apart of your on goings and whatnot. I hope we all get to RP together more, you have a nice roster of interesting chars. Whether it's Hutch drinking pond water, Sauce yelling about shrooms, Dom being ... Dom (even if he's not in the group), Ron giving bears, Spencer being exasperated, etc it's always a blast to meet up! I want to get to know more of the group and it's people, and I hope we also give you IC Goals and RP points to go off of!

I can understand some of the False Report parts, you were given clear instructions, you didn't follow them, so you got killed. Although that was not the whole report. The baiting part was questionable and the NLR could not be proven. So not sure how the report is false when staff themselves cannot even say for certain if a rule-break was broken but I am guessing the false report part came only from the invalid kills point of view. What is an absolutely mind-blowing decision was the BadRP on Shepard. Like how is one guy calling his captors "retards" once is considered BadRP is beyond imagination. At this point, you are better of saying "Yeah, ok.", "I'll do as you say.", "Ahem." and be the most boring hostage DayZRP has ever seen and you still wouldn't get hit with BadRP, but being a mouthly hostage once is now the absolute low. Just very disappointed about the BadRP part tbh.

The House was some of the most fun I've had on the server, with Cipher always trying to make new story lines with everyone we ran into something I never really did. Good luck fellas and I hope yall continue the legacy!

My personal opinion is that the outcome of the report is good. I personally dislike masses of reports being thrown up willy nilly for any reason, and some of the recent reports could easily be talked out as civil community members. Maybe chill out more on the reports man, try talk reports out with people before throwing them up. Obviously you don't have to follow that advice though. See you in a week i guess? Look forward to the RP then mate

Overuse of "shut up or i'll kill you" isn't roleplay, Your hostage isn;'t going to enjoy the RP as much if they're forced to be quiet. Roleplay is a two way street and suppressing it unnecessarily kills RP for one side. False report? This is supposed to be used for petty, absolutely non-contentious report verdicts where it is so blatantly clear the OP is just looking to get somebody banned with 0 merit to their argument. To have contentious points and be hit with false report, especially after being told to report this, is fucking ridiculous and laughable. What a joke of a verdict. "If you feel a rule has been broken, put a report up" ---> Lol get fucked false report. What a joke, how far has the team sank to be actually telling people to put reports up and then slamming them with false report OVER RULEBREAKS THAT CAN BE ARGUED.

Well from my experience meeting you ingame your RP was top notch As for the report it used to be a thing that before giving a false report verdict a staff member of the GM team or an Admin would state that they did not see a rulebreak meaning the OP would be given time to point out their opinion on where they see a rule break effectively keeping it open and trying to persuade staff to re-look or close the report all together. By giving a false report verdict without the OP being able to close it and forgive the guy for making a mistake or being able to defend themselves and point out what they see the staff team is effectively banning for the sake of banning. This is a move that turns members of the community off of making reports meaning the community will never improve in quality and the staff team will always be looked at in a negative way... Does that sum it up?

Literally made the suggestion last month in a thread quoted above and then posted in "ask staff" why people weren't being asked if they wanted to continue a report when staffs opinion was there were no rulebreaks. YOU NEED TO BE DOING THIS. I'm sorry if this offends anyone who worked on that verdict, but you are doing it wrong. Slamming someone for writing a report, when they feel it is a rulebreak, is a horrendous mindframe and frankly everyone involved in the ok of that verdict should be ashamed. You need to give people an out in those situations, not an auto ban. It screams of staff bias (once again) and makes people afraid to report rule breaks because of the dangerous precedence set in this report. I'm sorry purple team, but you are better than that.

I'm late as hell, but- Thank you @MR Pussywhipped! Playing with you and @MRS Bradtica together again was golden! It was way past time for those two teams to meet up again. Loving those characters and the chemistry they have . Good to see @Hellspawn again, as well as @Mugin. Always a pleasure, even though Duncan was pretty quiet... @Lyca the cookies were so uplifting in the apocalypse! Thank you and your people for your hospitality. Not sure who all everyone was, but thanks also to Kazamir (sp?), Dr. Kathryn and everyone else we met at the Castle. We sure did appreciate the warm welcome and help. I'm glad I could help the wounded, including Robbie. Really put Storme's medical training to the test seeing as she's only a tattoo artist, lol! Looking forward to meeting up with you guys again, sorry I don't know OOC names. Had a really great time with you guys! Storme is SO excited to have customers to ink again! And as always, much love and gratitude to Hawke ( @NishiUrban ) for once again putting his own life at risk to protect and save mine

Attention, beanz farm incoming: @Brayces - I decided to start this love train after reading your obvious bean farm. Its been great RPing with you again, even on a limited basis. I've missed you quite a bit and the batteries gave me an excuse to come and try out something different, which you've helped me enjoy immensely through excellent fear RP and trusting us to do right by you and your friends. @Stagsview - I didn't like you at first, still have my misgivings but you've given me an opportunity and an experience in RP that I've seldom been afforded. You don't let your ego get in the way of RP, you genuinely care about everybody else's experience and, in my view, have been a quality leader despite your hectic real life schedule. @AndreyQ - You're hilarious in-game and out of game, I really enjoy being around you both IG and out of game, discussing reports, bantering about the community and trying to come up with new memes for the media thread. I'm genuinely glad the batteries gave us an opportunity to become friends. @Kordruga - Sleeper squad my man. What more is there to say? You've got great ideas for RP, you're a memer and its pretty safe to say Vlad has made himself right at home in the batteries. Keep it up ranger @Aiko - Honestly after that chance meeting outside the Galapagos camp, I never expected us to RP as extensively as we have or to enjoy it as much. RPing your way into the group was incredibly believable, I enjoy you as a person OOC and what RP you can generate and facilitate to make things as fun as possible for the people around you. You've been an invaluable friend over the last month and I can't wait to see what else we're gonna cook up together. @Lyca - Same as Aiko, except we've RP'd together for years now and the last month-ish has been some of the most memorable RP we've had together IMO. From recruiting you as a spy, to fostering a tenuous relationship through the use of comfort, to all the adventures and problems we've had IC, its been a blast helping solve/create new problems for each other. @Craig - Huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue @Smixxa - You're a treasure, come back to us

Not a good idea to put the thread up when you're appeal is up, but really that only counts for staff since they are involved with it. Either way how that report got badrp or false report is beyond me. You had reason to put the report up simple as that everyone has that right to put one up if they feel a rule was broken, it would've been different if you shot him after being initiated on and then tried reported him for badrp for killing you or some shit. Imo false report should only be used when there is malicious intent or when you have broken the same rule you are reporting for; which actually brings the badrp verdict into light as well. The initiation is wonky and doesn't really promote the fear rp Scar might've been aiming for. Since your badrp punishment, as explained in the verdict, was based solely on the fact you did not fear rp staff should have taken into account the fact that the initiation and the people involved were not scary, sure guns are scary and having a gun pointed at you is scary but 2 years into an apocalypse numbs you to that fear. The fear rp should not be justified solely on guns being pointed, the person holding it should be able to create the fear instead which Scar and Jim did not do. The only fear they created was pointing guns. However, "Initiation rp" shouldn't be judged harshly due to the fact it's high strung and confusing, what comes after should be judged instead... should anything come after it. My general thoughts about the rest of the report are below here: Along the lines of you being killed Jim was definitely quick to shoot you, the rule itself says: Jim said "Watch your mouth" Once. Once being the key word, and Scars threat was directly aimed at Ryan for calling them "retards". Despite what you said and the fact that saying it wasn't the smartest thing to to say, for the betterment of RP and what could've come afterwards, Jim should've held fire and warned you once more before killing you. Once isn't repeatedly but twice is so always warn twice before doing anything. It sucks to die while trying to stay true to your character, not everyone is a scared bitch. Scars kill on Ryan was also quick, even when you get shot at just run.. don't kill your captive cause tbh sometimes it's not the captives fault for the shots popping off. It just looks lazy when you kill him and makes the initiation pointless. However, the kill technically is justified so take it as you will. Tbh staffs reasoning for the badrp punishment could fall more into NVFL with how it was explained but idk maybe that's just me Also to the @GMs it doesn't matter how upset you think someone is because of a report don't pull the "you upset you die" card... poor GM etiquette and a grasp for malicious intent to justify the false report. Also don't use threads notes to justify a signing sometimes they just don't make sense and people follow the leader when writing them. Always grab at least 3-4 gms or mods if available and discuss, thread notes are a good way to bring up some discussion never to justify the full verdict. That's just my advice thanks for coming to my ted talk.

The false reports verdicts being thrown around without proof of malicious intent are just undermining its meaning. This will eventually lead to members not wanting to report rule breaks for fear of being punished themselves. Then you get a community where rule breaks become more and more common and shitty RP is accepted or just flat out brushed off because our standards are dropping due to fearmongering. Nothing good will come of this.

First time running into your group and the RP provided was fantastic. Peacekeepers lol, you rescued a guilty man @Jackfish who I was going to torture and kill for shooting one of the only people Alyssa actually cares about @Imation11. The situation was handled perfectly. You didn’t initiate even though I gave you plenty of reason to and I really loved the tense RP that ensued. Thank you. Really excited to see the UN back and I look forward to running into you again.

What is the United Nations? What is the W.H.O? The first outreach from the UN was approved on the 11th of July, 2017 after civil unrest that had spiraled out of control faster than any other recent disaster, man-made or natural. The country was worse than anticipated, the infection took us by surprise, and we were forced to regroup come September. South Zagoria was left abandoned by international military personnel, and it remained that way for over a year before Lieutenant Palladino received his assignment. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ The world is in panic; many countries are in varying states of disarray. The United States has split down the middle; the West Coast is overrun, the East Coast is teetering on the brink of destruction, the infection has wholly thrown humanity to its knees. Europe isn't much better off, massive chunks of the land were left to the infected, and even smaller pieces had the remnants of civilization. Almost a year after the infection, the U.N began mobilizing teams of peacekeepers branded 'Civilization Restarters' with the intent of bringing the law back to the native countries. Lieutenant Palladino took command of a Platoon of peacekeepers with the sole purpose of restarting humanity in South Zagoria. However, the country was still under rabid contention; many groups claimed the area for themselves, and their numbers were massive. Conflict rose and subsided faster than the sun had risen and set, now there was not only the threat of the infected but also the threat of other groups. With the central goal of providing aid to all of the people within South Zagoria, Lieutenant Palladino and a platoon of peacekeepers set out to liberate the last section of the country, (Current) About three months later, Lieutenant Palladino's squad went MIA. The UN Colonel, over the South Zagoria Region, Decide to send a one-last squad of troops. These troops will be under the command of First Lt., Ikemba Muladir. Ikemba is given little to no intel on the area, he is only given 4 other troops until he is able to accomplish major fractions of his mission. Until then he will not be reinforced. His mission is to figure out where remaining squads went, and why they went MIA. He is to set up comms at a Radio Station so he can stay in contact with the UN. His personal goals are to redeem the UN's name, bring peace to the region, and to continue the mission where other UN units failed. (Written by @Major) The initial deployment of United Nations personnel was never supposed to last as long as it has. Following the eventual withdrawal of peacekeeping forces from South Zagoria the UN focused it's efforts on relief operations and assisting the greater organization in Europe with research and development pertaining to the infected. Many people in Chernarus desperately required assistance from the UN but were unable to receive it due to the fact that local bandit factions often raided and ambushed relief convoys and killed personnel. By January 2018 the UN had been more or less confined to their compound in Miroslavl. They benefited greatly from the strong nature of local Chernarussian government security forces, despite the growing frequency of terrorist attacks. During this period the size of the UN deployment was reduced drastically and new mission objectives were set, allowing the newly organized and re-structured task force to complete missions more effectively. However, missions outside of the fortified coastal safe zone continued to be problematic due to higher concentrations of infected and the growing intensity of conflict with the Belozersk People's Republic. Attempts to distribute aid to civilians in Belozersk resulted in a series of tense standoffs with peacekeepers, culminating in a bloody firefight that ended in the destruction of a UN convoy and the deaths of many civilians caught in the crossfire. Following this incident the UN moved its main base from Miroslavl to Primorsk, ensuring a much higher level of security for research operations and future deployments. Many leading officers were sacked and shipped back to the NATO safe zone in Switzerland due to incompetence which had led to many of the disasters which had occurred. @YNW Jasper| Ikemba Muladir @Slouch| Church Jackson @YNW Pep| Micheal Harris @Wendigo| Erin Mueller @YNW Dusty| Maxim Khovanov @Joe| Joseph Harrison @Shroud| Micheal Lovington @dawsonpark| Matias Martinez @OxeN| Ragnar Oloffson @YNW Viking | Kainye Karunn @Dustup| Joe Campbell @Lost | Benjamin Nelson @Saline| Azhar Hassim @Blake| Blake Johnson @Diamond| Anthony Vitale @DarkestSkies241| Alexei Petrov @Zombru| Ceslav Kruskal @Jackfish| Jackson Smith @MadameRose| Freya Hjelmstad @Hollows| Ryan Black @Fallen Eagle| David Jackson Short-Term - Restore The UN's foothold in Chernarus and make direct contact with all groups (By day 670) Mostly completed - Set up specific locations on specific dates to hand out supplies to those in need (By day 680) Completed once, still ongoing - Establish Temporary outposts every two weeks to hand out supplies passively and provide temporary safe havens to those in need (First done by day 690) - Hold a Peace Summit between all active groups in the region to establish some treaties for those at war (By day 710) - Recruit at least three outside doctors into the UN for medical assistance (By day 720) - Begin instituting official trials for accused criminals where civilians can decide their fate, to be held in Stary Church (By day 740) - Establish a permanent town or base for the UN to occupy and provide permanent housing and safety for civilians (By day 770) Never Ending Goals - Restore long-lasting peace to South Zagoria by providing shelter to those in need and work on dismantling groups that disrupt the peace. - Mediate large-scale battles between groups, and promote peace between them. - Reinstate the Chernarussian Government. - Restore The United Nations in South Zagoria back to it's original strength -Inform people that there is a possibility for the virus to be cured (Indefinite) Camp Eden/Camp Oasis "The first civilised place we found since returning, this place is as far as we are aware, run by a man named Kazamir and seems a friendly enough place. They supplied us with a lot of valuable information that makes our job a lot easier, and are thus considered friends of the cause." Mac Tire "What we were told of these men was neither pleasant nor deplorable. We were told they weren't exactly good guys, but weren't actively going around robbing people or anything like that, but they do consort with some less than desirable groups we've been made aware of. Keeping our eyes out for these ones." The Chedaki "This one is a no brainer. They're apparently back and in decent forces. They've apparently attacked the camp Eden once or twice before, but were unsuccessful in their attempts. They prefer kidnapping or killing lone stragglers and survivors out there. They have no clear home that we are aware of which makes tracking these people down not only a priority but a highly difficult task." The Toymakers "What we were told of these people was disturbing. We weren't able to get a location or names of any of them from the camp, however, they did indulge the information that they were murderous cannibals who inflicted torture on innocent civilians on a regular basis. Tracking these people down, while perhaps not as vital as the Chedaki, should still take some degree of priority." The House "While the people of Eden didn't talk much about these people, they're allegedly good guys, or so they say. While we don't have much to go on I suppose the word of the only friendly settlement we are aware of is enough to consider these men non-hostile nor a threat to the stability of the country as a whole." "It would seem our first thoughts and reports on The House were false. Since that time we have seen them attempt to murder a young woman for being around the wrong people, allegedly forcing a town named Eden under their own rule "Or else" and supposedly murder people for small things and tend to target the little man when they have the numbers. While not an outright enemy yet, they are to be watched and approached with caution. We will decide what is to be done about them in the coming days." I, @Slouch, personally want to restore the UN and provide an excellent role-play experience on the server based on the lore. Our goal is to primarily fill what we feel is a void within the server and try to re-balance the roleplay from primarily hostile driven groups and try to give the neutral and good characters a fighting chance. Successfully completing assignments and remaining active IC will guarantee promotions. Yup. Totally agree. False reports should only be handed out after it is clear, that they know, the report is totally senseless and after it is clear that they know, that there was no rule broken.

I see multiple issues from both parties in all honesty: 1 - Neither of the two being initiated on showed that they were in any threat, sure, this can be justified by knowing a group has there backs, or previous interactions how they went etc etc, but in the end, you have a gun to your head. Some emotion is needed, unless everyone plays the same kind of character who has none. The "fuck you" was well funny, just maybe not the best reaction in that scenario. 2 - Both parties were clearly waiting for backup. Hence the chase, trying to meetup somewhere. On an OOC level, everyone knew it would turn into a firefight, that generally imo has a negative effect on the RP. 3 - Having one person running around in circles isn't realistic at all. It almost feels like your trying to communicate with a randomer on a pub server. The same goes for running around in circles right before initiating. That's pretty low, and I would consider that bad RP. 4 - The executions were a bit hasty in my opinion. It's quick and easy to say things like: "If we start taking shots, you are dead tell that to your guys" (paraphrasing obviously). It's a nice card to play, but maybe after some actual RP. Letting tensions build in these kind of scenarios can move the RP forward. Instead of killing one of you for speaking, a quick beating with a gun to the others head could have been more interesting, putting the both of you on your knees in front of the others in the bushes to see, trying to communicate over radio, etc etc. The kills just seemed to be the easiest path, once again, because everyone knew a firefight would break out. 5 - False report is a bit much here. In a case where there are clearly no rule-breaks sure, however the RP received (and given) is questionable, and needs to be taken into consideration. I fully understand why this behaviour was reported. 6 - Having a friend of the accused handling the report doesn't help. It would have been nice to see a non-biased staff member (if possible) do that report instead.

I will give my general opinion not relating in particular to the report in question. The reporting process is a necessity in this community to define acceptable standards of role play and challenge those who go beyond what is permitted in the rules. If a person genuinely believes that there was a potential rule break, whether they are right or wrong, they should be able to report without fear of being banned themselves. I believe that in order to be punished for a false report, the intent must be proved to be malicious and the grounds for the report clearly unfounded. In my opinion, the implementing of a false report verdict should be exercised with extreme caution and only in exceptional circumstances because of the potential to create animosity in the community and a reluctance to report in future.

Is playing on a female model while playing a male character or vice-versa considered BadRP and is it punishable? I'd like to know where the staff team stand on this issue if possible. Thanks. Edit: For clarification @Roland, this is in regards to people that have normal male characters but play on female character models because they couldn't be asked to change to a proper one when they died.

Can I, as unaffiliated person, take a moment and point out how initially many people had doubts or were openly (not even to mention all the hidden negative talk) against this and that so far what you can mostly see here is public praise? Perhaps for the future, to those it may concern: gut feeling and 'mob mentality' is one thing but never fully assume you'll be totally right with it or that you cannot be proven wrong or shown otherwise. Basically I want to point out that despite the initial odds and people saying nope, the folks here were apparently able to lay a good foundation for the start, as public feedback so far indicates. With that I can only say: try to keep it up lads, as long as this UN version exists. I really need to RP with y'all soon-ish.

The Rook, because I ran towers. Seems The Pawn would be a better fitting title at this point. Shuffled about this countryside, fighting for the right to live while the thought of being alive loses its meaning. I can't bring myself to move from the brush and leaves I now lay on. The stars and moon overhead call to me, beckoning me to float up into the void that surrounds them. It would be so easy to just lay here and never move again. Just give up... Let go.

Noir accents. I'd like to see the top part of a piano house converted into an old fashioned office with a busty secretary down below or in the hallway in a reception area with people just seeking aid by the crooked PI who was too radical to be apart of "the force" and uses unconventional means to get the job done. Following his own moral compass. A proper anti hero with a heart of gold. Who's most likely a little bit of a misogynist who drinks copiously to forget his past. Pretty much Humphrey Bogart in most his films.
