Hello Survivor! I've already seen a lot of groups and group ideas on the Server, experienced different kind of RP in the community and took place in lots of their scenarios. And while I did that i was again and again thinking about my own ideas for a group. What could be creative enough to entertain the players in and around the group and provide a healthy amount of RP? Well the answer to that question is already in my head. The idea for my own group is nearly completed. The only thing that I am really missing is the people who will form the group with me together. So this thread is about giving a short taste about what the group would be about and then see who can identify himself with the whole thing. Lets start with the basics. The mentality of the group will be hostile, chaotic hostile. But don't expect PvP. Because this is not what I want to aim for. What I really expect of the outcomes are interesting conflicts that every character will remember. No instant initiations, no boring robberies. It is more like forming a scenario from a movie where people we interact with will notice the difference between every single character of us. No Military stuff. The Group will be formed out of civilians.. with shotguns, pistols and other weapons in the game that most people forget that they are existing, No Platecarriers nessecarily to push for best outcomes in a firefight. It is not needed because we would do whatever we can to avoid a fight. We want to live. We want to choose our opponent smart. The following things are details that will give the whole Group idea a face so you can imagine how the Group will work. The group basically want to survive like everyone else in an apocalypse. And everyone has his own way to keep themselves alive. My Group will technically live from the fear of others. Yes, my idea is spooking the hell out of other Players so they will think twice if they want to mess around with us. And as soon as they fear you they will do everything to be safe from you. So they will give you food and you give them the promise to leave. Or they are stupid and refuse to follow your demands. then you give an example of what consequences will follow if someone tries to be fearless. The next time - I promise - they will welcome you with 3 cans of delicious beans because losing another finger might be worse than losing food or something else. You probably still think this is a typical hostile Group with no Specials, but here is the important thing: The Group will be two faced. As long as it is bright and shiny in chernarus every group member won't be that different to a normal civilian. Maybe a bit strange but definetly not dangerous. But when the sunlight leaves and the night arives everyone of the group will come together for a hunting season in the cover of darkness. Equiped with torches, flashlights and other light sources we haunt the unexpecting survivors for informations, resources or maybe for vengeance or a clear statement. another important factor is the way we will protect ourselfs. Our identity will be what is gonna be our Shield. Nobody will ever find out a name of anyone of us. And to make this a sure thing we will cover our faces when we go for a hunt - with masks of any kind to increase the spooky factor hehe. I am also a fan of staged RP Scenarios to serve unexpected situations for more interesting RP experiences and to avoid Rule conflicts. But I prefer not to tell examples of my ideas here I think this is enough Information to give a first impression about my idea. Are you interested to go a brand new way of RP with me? Then feel free to send me a PM for more informations and questions! - Sorry for mistakes. My english isn't always on Point -

Ever since the outbreak, the world - South Zagoria, specifically speaking - has been host to a wildfire of hostilities. It has seen the rise and fall of militias, factions, and governments. Whenever the current king of the hill inevitably succumbs to the wildfire, another one takes its place. A few rough men, mostly indifferent to the topic of morality, have noticed this trend of perpetual chaos. These men come from all walks of lowlife - mercenaries, smugglers, arms dealers - you name it, they’ve either sold it or shot at it; and for the right price, and the right connections, you can become their client. But this story isn’t about just simple profit. These men, while despicable, aren’t stupid. They know that in a world like this, the real profit is control. Imagine selling the weapons used in the endless war that infests South Zagoria, or selling the drugs that pump through the veins of the soldiers, or perhaps selling the soldiers themselves. The men who control the war economy control the war, and the men who control the war control the outcome. This is the ultimate goal of those who meet at The House - and the only two things you can expect a House member to be loyal to are the goal, and each other. The House was born not out of some religious fascination or built on the basis of national identity, or any other myriad of reasons why a group of people who might otherwise despise each other come together to get something done. The House was born on one motive and one motive only; necessity. Harrison Foulke was a man of necessity. It was almost a requirement in the line of work he was in. Only carry what you need. Only call who's part of the job. Only make friends with those who wouldn't end up dead. Harry was a career criminal, apathetic about most everything besides getting what he figured he was owed. He's been in the business since he was nineteen - specifically the business of carjacking, and illegalls shipping those jacked cars across the pond to places that couldn't easily get their hands on them. Harry lived near the coast, at a harbor town named Norfolk, in Virgina; readily available to ensure the safe and timely delivery of shipments to Eastern Europe. Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Chernarus - he had quite an affinity for Chernarus, actually. It was his favorite port to frequent - he enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of South Zagoria, the serene beaches near "Berezino" or whatever the locals called it. Luckily for Harry, it'd become his new home when the infection broke out. After years of living by his old rules, travelling alone, he stumbled across a man named David Mack. David quickly picked up on Harrison's ability to adapt, and he soon brought him into the fold of the newly formed "Abyss Corporation". The Abyss Corporation represented Harry's motives almost entirely - truly business oriented. That soon began to change, with many of Abyss' members beginning to find other motives. Abyss soon turned its attention to creating a town, and soon after that the corp splintered. Harry saw this coming early, and he had other ideas himself - continue Abyss' legacy while hopefully sticking to what brought them together in the first place - profit. With these goals in mind, Harry found himself meeting with a few other trusted members of the old corp at a schoolhouse up north. They met there frequently to discuss strategies and share intelligence on the goings-on in South Zagoria. Over time, their member count grew, and Harry realized that it was time to make it official. Out of that schoolhouse, the House was born. The House is less a group and more a collective of individuals, each with their own specialties. Each member of the House has some level of autonomy in how the goals of the House are completed. Furthermore, the House uses more of an "ad-hoc" structure to chain-of-command. Some people, including himself at times, doesn't recognize Harry as a "leader", and more as an organizer - the guy who brought them all together. With this structure and their goals in mind, the House set out to sell weapons and armed services to the people of South Zagoria. Despite this, hey soon fell into an impasse - a group of Chernarussian nationalists that wished for nothing more than foreigners like Harrison and the majority of his associates to leave the country - either on foot or via body bag. Harrison, who disliked both choices, quickly called a meeting with other groups of men that included foreigners - namely, a militia of men going under the moniker "New Moon", and a group of men, mostly American, that called themselves "The Saviors". This meeting wasn't particularly productive, due to the fact that, unbeknownst to Harrison, some members of the House did not have great relations with the Saviors, namely a man named John Moody, their leader. Even with this issue, the meeting went on mostly without a hitch, and the three groups signed a 48 hour non-aggression pact. However, due to many House members being preoccupied with standing contracts in other parts of South Zagoria, matched with some very unfortunate timing, these nationalists, calling themselves the "Kamenici", ambushed the Saviors and New Moon without the help of the House. It was a very bloody engagement. Harrison would be taken to task for this in a major way, when New Moon and the Saviors initiated a surprise attack on Harrison and some of the members of the House, which quickly put the House in a tight spot, with enemies on all sides. After a few days, the New Moon and Saviors even allied with the nationalists, for reasons still not entirely clear to Harrison, even today. Harrison tried to meet multiple times with both organizations, but were met with either nonresponse or a firefight. The House, however, had a plan. After a few tense firefights, the House bolstered their numbers significantly in order to take on all three groups at once. They were able to hold their own, stringing together a few victories against the Nationalist/New Moon/Savior threat. This went on for a while, until Izzak Sirko of the New Moon cobbled together a neutral settlement dubbed "New Grishino". Harrison thought this would be a good way to attempt one more peace talk with Izzak and his men. The Kamenici, not eager to see their new ally provide room and board to the enemy, threatened to withdraw their support for the town unless the House were kicked out of the town. So, they were. Harrison noticed something a little.. off. Almost as if Izzak's hand was being forced. So, he called for a private meeting between the two organizations to figure out what exactly was the issue. Izzak agreed that Kamenici forced the New Moon's hand, and his strategy was to wait until they screwed themselves over. And, to his credit, they did - only hours after their meeting, the Kamenici, for whatever reason, decided to ally with a new nationalist organization and fight against the New Moon and their town of New Grishino. This only brought the House, New Moon, and, regrettably to some, the Saviors, back onto the side of the House, clearly drawing the lines in the sand. Fighting continued for a while with no notable events, until the House found a Kamenici informant taking refuge in New Grishino. The House apprehended, interrogated, and publicly executed the man, to little fanfare. The Saviors took major issue with the move, as it broke one of the town's rules, unbeknownst to Harrison at the time. The Saviors then engaged in a quick firefight with the House, which went in the favor of the latter, and once again soured relations with the Saviors and New Moon, who still closely protected Moody and his men. Not keen on continuing this protracted conflict, the House found itself readying for hopefully a final strike on the Kamenici, who were attending a summit in Chernogorsk spearheaded by the CPG (Chernarussian Provisional Government). Surprisingly, Kamenici and their ally, Cerna Liska, turned on the CPG and some other civilian groups attending the summit, just as House members were moving into position. Mid-firefight, the House moved in and cleaned up the remaining Cerna Liska and Kamenici soldiers, marking a strong victory and a huge morale boost. Soon after, Harrison attended the funeral of the old CPG leader, executed by Kamenici, and secondary summit, held by the remainder of the CPG and other civilian organizations, where the House vowed to continue the fight against the Kamenici and Cerna Liska, now dubbed the "Nationalist Front", until they end their war against the foreigners of South Zagoria. The war rages on to this day. However, with advances made in after-apocalypse electricity, the House might have other plans in the works. After the death of Harrison things died down and the members of the House went into hiding. A few months later Jebediah learned what happened to Harrison and also learned that Harrison had been running a organization called the House. After Jebediah had time to think about what he was going to do, he eventually decided he was going to try and find people to start up Harrison organization again and carry on the legacy that his cousin left behind. Well for starters, had a real interesting run in with a priest at camp today... Despite that, it was nice finally meeting @Aiko's new character and didn't know she was gonna bring @Jadeboat but it was a hoot nonetheless. I foresee some nice druggie buddies as she put it. Of course the usual shout out to you other mischevious cunts. @Zero, @Bigtoe, @Wolfen, @Funiculus, @Otto, @Hellspawn, and @Preacher.

Wanted to post here as I posted in discussion and that conversation went off on a few different directions. I also want to state I didn't know Dusty, I am just genuinely concerned with the way the false report punishment was used (maybe there was more going on then I knew behind the scenes/in discord kind of thing. I just want to get to the bottom of what future reports will look like in similar circumstances) My question is simple. Have false report procedures changed? In the past if the OP was in the wrong staff would give very obvious opinions on the case and then ask "how do you wish to proceed?". Example. Staff Member: "Hi Op, from the given evidence we so no reason that this would be considered ruleplay. The event was roleplayed out and he circumstances while unfortunate ended with your characters death, how do you wish to proceed?" Giving them the opportunity to say "you're right I see what happened there" or "no I still think it's a report" (in which case a false report punishment could happen) I'm worried because I saw mention of "false report" (which actually didn't end up happening in that report) in another report recently and I'm starting to think gamemasters are pursuing this more often then they should be. My opinion, and suggestion is this. If someone fabricates/lies/has OOC reasons for a report it's pretty obvious what to do. Ban away. But of they are wrong, if they have made a mistake, by not understanding the situation fully, that should not be automatically punished. Yes they should know the rules, but staff is also there to correct misconceptions or misunderstandings, people should not be punished automatically for being wrong in a report. Work with people. Communicate during reports, give them a chance to back away if they are wrong. Because if you don't do that, people will be afraid to report, they will just not bother with it, and you will have people get away with things they shouldn't which will deteriorate the server RP. OK. Long ass rant over, the simple question remains, have false report procedures changed? Or is staff willing to work with people to avoid unnecessary bans?

Moving sucks ... but thank you @Dino and @Ouromov for all the TextRP we’ve been having recently! Helps to develop our chars so we can pick up where we left off in RP once I can get back in game. The train to feels town express takes no refunds ...

I would have doubled the amount of zombies already, if I could. But the server goes down on its knees when AI count is increased, especially with 100 players.

A lot of groups I find have been initiating out of sheer boredom and hoping for a firefight. At the same time, it's an RP server, there's plenty of other servers I know where they could get the same thrill of PvP if they seek it but they don't. I do hope future hostile encounters are more fruitful and not just purely taking gear and rping for an x amount of time just to loophole around the "You must provide RP for your hostage" rule.

6 months ago, my hometown was destroyed by the third strongest hurricane to ever hit the continental United States. We were out of power, running water, and cell service for over a month, with thousands still displaced or living in roofless homes. It's been over 180 days, and we've received no additional disaster funding from the state or federal governments. Today, we rallied at our state capital to remind our Congress that we're still here and still struggling. Really proud of my community and wanted to share that here.

I'll be speaking for myself here, and not on behalf of the staff team. A false report to me is a report in which the OP of the report is aware of the fact that no rules were broken, but creates a report regardless in an attempt to hopefully get the 'Accused' banned, or a report in which the OP lies and twists certain aspects of the situation to make it seem as if a rule was broken. Someone misunderstanding the rules or thinking that a rule was broken (in my opinion) does not warrant a false report punishment, as misunderstandings can happen. An example of a false report would be: In the situation linked above the OP is initiated on by the 'accused'. He claims that he was/wanted to comply, but was shot and killed regardless. Video evidence that was uploaded by the accused shows the complete opposite, as he attempted to retaliate by moving behind cover and pulling out his gun. The OP tried to retaliate, failed and was shot, got upset because it failed and decided to put up a false report lying about what happened hoping that something would stick. This for me is a prime example of a false report, as this is not the case of someone misunderstanding the rules, but rather someone putting up a report with malicious intents hoping that something would stick and get the 'accused' punished.

Question you'd like to ask: What exactly qualifies for false report? Is it intentionally filing a report knowing there's no rule break? Because to my and most others knowledge, that's what it's supposed to mean, and yet recent verdicts strongly indicate otherwise. So what exactly precisely are all the guidelines for false report so that everybody knows when to and when not to report so we don't get nae nae'd on our own shit.

Question you'd like to ask: In the past an accusation staff had to face from time to time was that some of them are barely active In-Game so that their only impression of the state of the RP came through community members, stream, reports and so on. Is actual In-Game activity (hours played in the last two weeks) by staffer being promoted within staff or even required?

@ScarletRose It was nice meeting you and your friends on the hill near Bash and then again at the Novaya Church last night. I’ve seen you all a few times before, usually from a distance, including a very short encounter at a water pump in Vyshnoye. And yes, you were correct, I was definitely nervous because, thanks to a man named Wong, Rose thinks she knows. Also, you were smart to leave the church when you did. I fared well, but, most of the rest of my family did not. It seems you can’t trust anyone these days including supposed friends. And it all was over a damn symbol on a damn hat. Oh, and the Chedaki. Goodness, they cause problems even when they’re not around! Anyway, thanks for being so nice to a lone stranger on a hilltop. The encounter definitely didn’t go the way I expected. (I would mention your associates, but, I don’t know who they are. Yet.)

This thing gave roleplay so many options. I have countless stories of using these to signal, torment, and torture people! Any chance we can add those back Devs? I'm sure they were taken out for a reason and you have plenty other shit to deal with. I was just reminiscent and realized how much I missed these things.

Good morning, good evening or good afternoon! My name is Hiccup (not really but usernames are important), and I enjoy role play as a pass time and hobby, as well as an outlet to improve my creativity. I've been role-playing for a long time, my love for it was ignited the first time I played D&D. If anyone who is reading this hasn't played Dungeons and Dragons ever, I highly recommend it! Without it, I wouldn't have ever discovered how fun role play can be. I've been a player for going on 7 years now, and a DM for about 5. I found my love for writing before playing D&D, but suffice to say being a DM has definitely helped me translate that love into campaigns and stories that I can go through with my players. Being a DM, I've had plenty of experience role playing different characters for my players to engage with. Not only that, but I've been apart of role play communities before, and this one is certainly one I'd love to get invested with.

Before we begin, let it be known I an a friend of Dusty's, so there is a hint of bias coming from me, and what I mention following this disclaimer is my opinion. I'm going to be dissecting the verdict handed down in this report. NVFL: @YNW Dusty, you punched an individual having clear hostile intentions against you while said individual was carrying an assault-rifle in his hands. This unrealistic behaviour shows that you cared very little for your character well-being. 3.2 Your character must behave realistically and appropriately to the different situations you participate in, keeping the current world situation and context of post-apocalyptic world in mind. Do not act in a way that indicates no value for your characters life and survival. For example, attempting to kill people when heavily outnumbered, excessively talking back or insulting someone when taken hostage, or knowingly running into an area of active hostile engagement when not involved in the fight. Characters found guilty of breaking this rule will be permanently marked as dead. What...? So, in a server where we prioritize RolePlay over RulePlay and PvP, punching someone is considered NVFL? So, why according to this verdict found here, that isn't the case. There is literally zero difference from what I am reading in the situation. The guy, who had a gun, was punched and when the guy punching the person was shot, it became Attempted RDM because punching is literally stated in the link," First of all lets address the punch. This is something that falls completely within RP, you two had an aggressive conversation which led to -Snip- punching you once." Why is this situation not NVFL, but Dusty's is? What has changed? I don't see any justification for this. @Roland literally states that we prioritize RolePlay over PvP, so what the fuck should've Dusty done? Walk away and have Scar follow him until he is initiated on? I guess HostileRP can only be done by initiations these days instead of shit talking in person and fighting via fists. I'll remember that next time someone threatens me verbally or something in RP so I can just green light and gas them. Good to know. False Report: @YNW Dusty, you will be found guilty of filing a false report. You punched a man with an assault-rifle in his hands and allies in direct vicinity. While you might have been surprised that you got killed, the fact remains that you put a report up despite being the first person in the situation to start hostilities. The reasoning for False Report is lackluster entirely. False Reports are verdicts given out to people who do not know the rules, or throw up a report with malicious intent (eg. no obvious rule break, yet they want to try and get someone banned- like what a certain G person did to @Nihoolious in December, which in turn got he/she banned. From reading the report, there was no malicious intent behind it. Every community member has a right to put up a report if they believe a rule was broken. Dusty was fucking shot for trying to RP and punching Scar instead of escalating immediately to PvP or just bullshit shit-talking, which again is not against the rules. So, out of curiosity, are we allowed to put up reports against anyone, as long as it isn't any RP boys anymore? I promise you if the situation was reversed, the outcome would've been entirely different. I get that Dusty left a really bad taste in people's mouths when he was initially banned, but this is grasping at straws and throwing them at the wall hoping something sticks. It is very disappointing to see how verdicts have steadily declined since the beginning of this year. Hell, @Jasper was even wrongfully permabanned in a report he put up and it took almost two weeks for the error to be corrected. It is very disappointing to see how the rules are interpreted and how different verdicts can be with a new staff generation getting involved. I urge every GM+ to PM @Terra, @Ron, @Stagsview and all older and more experienced Ex-Staff for their input and guidance because we need it right about now. It takes 6+ days to verdict reports where people have stopped commenting on to be verdicted, we as a community and as a Staff team can and should do better. This isn't a flame thread or post, but I'm sorry. These verdicts lately, even accusing and involving people I don't know are just whack.

Ok. I get that the title is a little high speed and you're already a little upset but hear me out. I play on average two to five hours a day depending on what I do and if it's spread out or not. I used to run into people pretty consistently obviously, I would do hostile RP, I would sit around and shoot the shit with people, I would get taken hostage, I'd do pretty much everything. Just try and cover all grounds in a day to keep things on a constant move and entertaining for myself. I would say if I had to put a number on it, about a month or two ago I would find nearly 40 unique players every day, sometimes more in hotspots. You know how many people I find a day in the past two weeks? Less than five. And that's on a good day. Two days ago I found a single person. One. And that's from running all along the northern highway, checking the triangle, running towards GM and checking everywhere in between. The server was about at 80 and was on about 50 when I got off after giving up after hours and hours of searching for literally any signs of life. I can understand some people want to hide every now and then because there are bandit groups out there and obviously it makes sense to want to breathe every now and then. But good fucking lord. People are hiding and it's killing the enjoyment of the server for myself and many others who don't even do hostile RP. I've even spoken to brand new players that have been here for around a month and they're considering quitting because they simply cannot find any RP at all anywhere. They do the same as me. They just look for hours and give up. People out there that are sitting in their own camps or towns that they know nobody will ever venture to - why? I can understand hiding there if you're actively being pursued by a group maybe and there's strong RP reasoning behind it but I really don't think most of you can justify it. The server is consistently full and almost always nearly full during normal US hours and yet it feels dead as fuck. I really just don't know right now. I have to be active to get off of final and yet I almost don't feel like it's worth it right now, because it's mind numbingly dull to try and find anyone. Whether i'm being hostile, friendly, trying to be a trader, start a fight club, some casual RP, literally anything I try and do feels impossible to enjoy because everyone is hiding. Those who are hiding can you please explain your point of view or stance on this? What do you think the server needs right now? Why is it that you choose to sit in corners of the map for hours in the day? What led to this? What do you think needs to change to make people want to actually go out, and yaknow, ROLEPLAY on a roleplay server? I liked playing and being very active a few weeks ago. Right now I absolutely hate it. And I know that people who are both new and old members, hostile and friendly players, bandits or hero characters all feel the same as me as us all talking together in my TeamSpeak about the subject that prompted this post. This isn't targeted at anyone specific. Mainly because Its not about some people or alot of people. It's about damn near everyone these past weeks I feel like. I'm adding a poll with some blanket statement options to pick and choose from. Please. Engage in the comments and keep it civil. As a community we all need to be able to voice our opinions on matters like this that actually mean something without being attacked for it. Let's all be chill and try and resolve this together because what's going on in game right now simply isn't working.

Amazing RP - good family session. RIP Emily's birthday tho. Since the only person I really knew during the situation was @OxeN, I gotta say. Good hostile RP - but couldn't you have waited a few minutes smh.... don't shoot the messenger into the future eh? Slava Chedaki

Hm Im pretty sure most people would have shoot him. Dusty is not stupid he knew what he was doing. Everytime someone thats in a friend group gets permed people complain just how it is. I mean I would have complained. Either way i dont know if i would say false report more nvfl and baiting.

So, I was actually in the video of Dusty's report when Scar's character asked me to hold Dusty's up. We already knew from the start based on their interactions that one was trying to bait the other (I will let people figure out who was baiting who). You can hear me saying "I got bigger fish to fry" as I didn't want any part in it, I wasn't even aware after they ran off that Dusty got gassed, I saw the report but didn't think much of it at first. Seeing the video, the situation could have gone a million different ways that didn't have to involve killing Dusty with a gun. NVFL? In a realistic scenario, if someone punched you while you had a rifle in your hand, you'd probably take a few seconds to recover from that punch and at that point (If we want to talk realism) some dope text rp could have happened here where Dusty's character could have attempted to disarm the man via text emote. (Though wasn't given the chance.) There was also the fact he could have said "If you punch me like that again, I'll put a bullet in you." at that point it's free game. I'm just seeing people are bored and trying to score free kills for the sake of either gear, the thrill or really any reason not to run around a huge map with your friends and finding nothing better to do. It's why even in game I refused to get myself involved, plus I had some other RP going on that involved something fairly fruitful in the end. I do believe the admins, are wrong in their verdict of banning him based off false report, there could have been a million things done here. A punch is nowhere near something threatening in the least unless he kept spamming it repeatedly. Not sure what to say but this is a small reason about why I am always strongly advising my group not to report things in case of Staff Bias or whatever other reason. It's not a secret there's friends of friends and nepotism is a real issue on this server. Can anything be done by the community? No, it's not our server realistically, it's Roland and Jim's, so at the end of the day, this thread will probably get closed like most and they MIGHT do something about it, it depends on how they look at the facts.

Don't see a point in restricting people's rp with imaginary group caps. I haven't seen a "big" group with 40+ members ever throw around their full roster in any scenario. In the big one's I've taken a part of we usually had a day crew (US timezones) and a night crew of EU players that would sometimes overlap. People will be friends no matter what anyway and just make a group to immediately ally so unless your only problem is KOS rights then idk what to tell you. There have been far more lethal groups on the server that roll with low numbers, just learn and adapt, don't make forum posts trying to restrict the power group's have accumulated. I know it's cancer to use the "irl" argument but cmon, big groups would be a thing and you should deal with it IC.

I don't think the issue is with people being afraid of Hostile RP. The issue is that people are BORED of the hostile RP being provided by many groups. (Honestly, I don't really care if it seems that I'm pointing fingers.) Most of the hostile groups provide very 'samey' kinds of RP, regardless of their group goals or backstories. In all honesty, if it weren't for the armbands, I'd find it difficult to tell them apart. And these groups DOMINATE the server. They're always on in high numbers, at almost all hours, and it's always the same: Initiate, take gear, "give me information", beat if the information isn't good enough, and let go. And hey, I could deal with that on the off occasion, but when it's EVERY day for some people, when its THREE times a day.... trust me, it kills motivation to get on and play. Some of these groups claim to be "progressing peoples story-lines." But when you're trying to insert yourselves as the antagonists to EVERYONE'S story-lines..... again trust me, it gets stale. People are in fact able to have their own stories with other groups, have their own development with other people, rather than everyone dealing with the same 3-4 massive bandit groups that want information and guns. Now onto the "They just don't want to have their M4 taken" argument. Fair enough, it's true for some people. Especially those that run solo, those that never have any back up. For some, getting robbed for their rifle every single time they run into a large group gets tedious and boring. And c'mon.... you can't seriously be accusing them of GearRP for wanting to keep their weapon, without also being accused of GearRP for wanting to take their weapon in the first place. "But it's for my own protection." - I know of at LEAST two hostile groups that will either send people on their way with full kit, weapon and ammo included. I know some people that will set their gear on the ground, tell them to run across a field or something and THEN come back for their shit (giving the aggressors plenty of time to get away.) "But then they could hunt us down and kill us." - So what? That's part of the thrill. That feeling of never being 100% safe, even if you have a massive group of mates around you. Honestly? Grow a pair. Potius Cras for instance, are at a CONSTANT disadvantage as their whole group is KOSable at ALL times. My fucking hat off to them, by the way. TLRD; People are bored of the same Hostile RP style day in and out. Spice things up, don't be all about robbing people and demanding information. You don't even need to initiate to be hostile. Don't try to insert your group into every single persons storyline. Be willing to put yourself at a disadvantage by letting people go WITH their weapon sometimes. Not all the time, but sometimes. Acknowledge that everyone is trying to have a good time, and that NOT everyone is part of a group that can help them out if they're always being robbed.
