A quick thank you too: Bunny for helping me in the helpdesk, I rarely go but you quickly answered my questions and dragged me up in a few seconds. Staggs my personal log guy for when I need to give beanz; you do an amazing job. CH Emile for trying his best to answer all my annoying questions. On another note.. I feel like this kind of answer is a bit.. confusing for the community. What this tells me is that those kind of responses are tolerated here, if I have a problem with someone I can tell him to "kindly" fuck off. Yes yes, this is Rolles community, we all know he can do what he wants etc. It still sets a bad example for the members. If any other member were to have posted a response like this it would have led to points / ban depending on the circumstances. I do believe these kind of responses can be avoided, especially by higher up staff members, if not all of them. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it, but recently examples like this, or Joffreys feedbacks seem to all show the same things: Some staff members are really showing a bad example of how things are done, I'm mostly concerned for the newcomers.

Hey all! Just re-joined the community after a few months break. right before I left, I was apart of the Reapers before they disbanded, and Blackwood before that (Long Live Blackwood). So what I'm asking is....whats new in the DayZRP community? What groups are really present in the world now? -Brian McCoy III

To be fair, the goal is not to personally enjoy the RP, but for your hostages to as well. Clearly that wasn't the case. I would take this thread as free feedback for your group and the situation that took place for future reference. Maybe the hostages would've enjoyed the situation more if their friends hadn't gotten them killed. No need to make digs OOC, we've never had a single complaint about our hostile RP. So as much as I appreciate your feedback, I don't think anything needs to change within our group. Thanks though!

Alright lets settle down. Diamond clearly said if you're having issues with this group to PM him directly. So lets cool it down, I dont want to see this thread get out of hand.

Pretty much what he said to be honest. But I haven't actually done anything? there was nothing in my power I could do to stop it before it was over. I did ask for permission to cut his finger off, he said no obviously. Anything else you want to know, just ask.

Wow. You can't elaborate your reasons or take advice? Nah.. instead you shrug it off with a "meh" and a dealwithit gif, how original. I mean, you're free to come ask me anything on TS3 or PM me.

There hasn't been any kind of impact so far? Nothing has changed, what do you mean? I'm all for answering questions, but a dedicated thread or stream for it? Meh. No impact, yet you decided to move the announcement to your hidden forums after 13 full pages of discussion? K I have my reasons

I understand what you mean, it gets a lot worse if you get kidnapped by a big group or something like that. Try going to somewhere that's extremely high populated and just have chats with people, you'll get used to it, or play with friends. It will feel easier if other people are doing it with you. Trust me mate.

Dayz RP is a massive open platform for you to express yourself, and dive deep into a character style, Try some accents but i have come across people who say they hate there voice, just go for it.

I think my advice would be to recruit someone from the community to RP with you at first. If you found one person to just kind of walk around in a low-population area for a little while, you could work out the nervousness and begin to feel comfortable. I think that if you are shy and nervous using your voice, then there are a lot of scenarios that could potentially happen where you have a legitimate reason to be nervous. Because a lot of people (myself included) really enjoy making people nervous, I would really try to get comfortable before you go waltzing through Kabanino or something. I think The Trust would be a really accommodating group for you. I'd recommend looking into some of them and letting them know that you would like to ease into doing voiceRP, or just PM someone who plays a friendly and nice character and get to it! For general practice, SO MANY of our members are incredibly chatty and love having conversations regardless of whether or not you're talking back or not, so teamspeak is always an option. You could join the Newcomer channel and hang out for a bit -- Let people know that you're shy and are just looking to become more comfortable speaking. We're lucky to have tons of really nice people in this community who would love to help you out!

[align=left]Lets talk about "guilty until proven innocent" and "Word versus word" And perhaps a little (or a lot) of Staff bias which frankly, I find utterly disgusting. I refer to the report here [align=left]So without going over every tiny bit of detail discussed in the report because it was made clear that "" Amiright? [align=left]So making it really simple: [align=left]The staff in the report said "Dr. Brandon Metagamed." [align=left]Dr Brandon said "I didn't metagame, I legit IC reasons for being in the channel, comms were loose, and I heard tid bits said IC" [align=left]Regardless of what really happened, and who may be salty, or who may have metagamed, or if no rule break happened at all, there was no video evidence. No audio evidence to support or not support any claim made in this report. [align=left]So what was the verdict? Dr. Brandon guilty. Why? "You know.. because Staff wouldn't lie, we almost always present a shining example of being a "Solid Community member" and our word is clearly more trustworthy than a stupid no-name." [align=left] I mean of course maybe I missed something? Maybe some secret evidence was provided and not shown publicly? ... IF so oops MY BAD right? But it's been said many time in previous reports, that evidence is to be shown unedited, and in the report. But who knows right? This could be a "Special Case" [align=left]Oh, and that shinning example of Staff? Why not start with the #1 staff. Literally the highest ranking member in the community. [align=left]Exhibit A: Meme'ing in a report. I could be cloudy on precedent for this.. but I will go out on a limb here and say that If I had done this, on any report, or any other scum community member, we would get points. If not a ban strike? Maybe a perm?... Unless I missed somewhere that as long as it's a relevant meme you can meme in reports. (Honestly I would love memes to be allowed). Exhibit B I could grab more screens of recent activity, but for the sake of not having this take up an entire thread page lets just keep it to two. Group thread posts should be on topic, and respectful. If you wish to be critical, at least make it somewhat constructive. These examples are not respectful to the OP's or constructive in any sense of the word. It's flame, pure and simple. So as of late we are seeing a clear Word vs. Word going to guilty verdict, from what one can only assume is staff bias because there is literally no relevant evidence to be seen. And we have this garbage (refer to exhibits) coming from top brass. Is it too much to ask for leading by example? Surely no one is perfect but in my opinion this is gross abuse of staff privilege. Lord knows I am a horrible example for "who to look up to" But uhh.. I'm not exactly a GM, Admin, or Community Leader either. In summary, if there is a professionalism dial somewhere, may I humbly ask that we turn it up from 60% to say somewhere near upper 80%.. maybe 90? Thanks. -Joffrey Reed
