  2. Hezekiah was born and raised in a small town in Wyoming, a state many believe to be non existance. His work required him to travel the country for business, which lead him to shortly after be able to travel the world. He began his travels to Russia, where he met his wife Latisha that was also conveniently from the same state as Hezekiah and had been traveling to Russia to visit family plenty of times a year. The stars really aligned for both of them and they decided to travel to chernarus and explore the beautiful scenery, as his wife was a wildlife photographer and outdoor enthusiast who was excited to discover everything chernarus had to offer. When the outbreak took place, everything changed for the two and he tragically lost his wife in a cooking accident, not the actual infection. Latisha had set the house on fire attempting to cook grilled cheese in a very badly in shape oven at the place they were staying at. A few days later, the outbreak hit. With the loss of his wife, Hezekiah is broken beyond belief and seemed to have no will to live. He promised to never give up, so that's exactly what he is doing now, roaming the country and trying to make the best of it.
  3. John ‘Jack’ Reed April 23rd 1983 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In a dusty underground club in the heart of Birmingham a movement was growing, and tides were changing. The formation of a new radical sector of the I.W.W. Among the many workers, writers, artists and poets a prominent socialist and supporter of the British labour movement was hiding, John ‘Jack’ Reed. An accomplished man with a wife and two children, John had attended Oxford University in his early twenties. A tall, handsome, and lighthearted man, he threw himself into all manner of societies from swimming to tabletop games, but his true passion was journalism. After graduating from Oxford John began to pave the way to create a newspaper called ‘The Insubordinate’ which while successful was unfortunately short lived due to funding issues, and a lack of real advertisement. Not long after ‘The Insubordinate’ was closed down John Reed begin to work for a socialist paper called the Morning Star, who gave him the opportunity to report on the struggles in the 1999 Sierra Leone civil war as a war correspondent. As soon as John landed at the military held airport the devastation of the war was obvious, bodies littered the street like rag dolls, still yet to be collected for burial. The war showed the scars of what imperialism had done, turning a once inspiring socialist coup into a horrific regime out of necessity to survive. Almost every person John interviewed seemed to have some level of PTSD, malnourished, or illness simply due to lack of aid and medical supplies. It was a true failing on behalf of the United Nations. When John ‘Jack’ Reed returned to Britain and published his findings in the Morning Star it was suppressed by the mainstream media and helped solidify his socialist beliefs. Imperialism must be destroyed before it can do anymore harm. No More Slaves, No More Masters: Power and Freedom to the People! During his time as an elected member of the Industrial Workers of the World, he oversaw the operation of underground vandalism schemes like spray paint murals and illegal demonstrations, as he believed that illegality does not equate to immorality, though he did help organise more legal practices like advocating for more education funds, peace and climate change. Peaceful protests and I.W.W demonstrations were also organised by John to help gain public opinion and support which was vital to a grass roots socialist cause, and organisation of the workers. After John’s heavy involvement in the less legal parts of the I.W.W were exposed in early 2017, a national smear campaign began, forcing him to flee the country before any serious prosecution from the unjust imperial capitalists could begin. When John and his family arrived at the French customs, they soon realised they would have to go much further than simply Paris. The Reeds had to flee the European Union. His family ventured through Hungry, Ukraine and Russian funding it all by doing favours for whoever they could on their journey, eventually they had enough cash that they could afford a bus ticket to cross the Chernarus border. After making his way across most of Europe he finally settled in Severograd with his family. It took some time to learn Cherarussian but John and his family managed it, allowing his children to attend school and himself to get a job to pay rent. After weeks of searching John managed to get a place working on cars at the local garage in Serverograd, he quickly earned the title ‘Jack’ because the other native workers struggled to pronounce John and within a month he was signing his own name as John ‘Jack’ Reed. In his spare time he helped teach English literature and language at the Severograd High School and managed to attend labour movement protests across the country, rekindling his beliefs he suppressed when fleeing Britain. When the country of Chernaurs became divided and political conflict look inevitable John made sure to not get directly involved as it could endanger his family however he did help shelter Chedaki fighters, offering them a roof over their head, and food for a couple of days before they were made to move on. It was a fairly harmless gesture while his house lay deep in Chedaki territory but as the fascist forces grow closer by the day it became much more dangerous. When the war was officially lost by the Chedaki he risked his, and his family's lives to help smuggle innocent soldiers out of the country to avoid prosecution. John lived in relative peace for the next few years, eventually becoming a full time English teacher and even earning enough to move into the city of Severograd. None of those material things mattered anyhow because nobody was ready for the end of the world as we knew it. It's been 689 days since the outbreak and Chris Winters has just buried his last living family member. His daughter Eve. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Occupation: - Mechanic: Before John’s correspondent job for the Morning Star he use to work in his father's garage before he attended University. The skills the job gave him stayed throughout his life, and even helped him get a job in Chernarus to help support his family and pay the bills. Now in the wasteland, he uses his skills for basic survival. From fixing cars to repairing guns and generators they’ll always come in handy. - War Correspondent: Winter was sent to Sierra Leone, initially to report on war efforts made by the peacekeeping mission however it eventually turned into an exposé piece, exposing the imperialist sickness the west had on developing countries. When he has sent in 1999 he never foresaw being there for nearly 3 years. The carnage, bloodshed and brutality that he witnessed there helped shape him as a person and solidified his socialist beliefs to this very day. Had he not never had been sent to Sierra Leone he would never have seen through the imperialist lies. - Politician: After returning from Sierra Leone with the images of barbarism scared into his mind, he found new hope and vigour to create change for those less fortunate and to stop people being the tools and pawns of their own destruction for the rich. Though his willingness for change was near unstoppable he could not outrun the law, his own ambitions forced him and his family into exile until the Chernaus civil war where he could once again help, giving shelter and food to the socialist soldiers in need, hiding them from the authorities, and even smuggling a few across the Russian border. However, it all seems pointless in the face of armageddon.
