S1: Polana - Griefing/Possible Ghosting

Server and location: S1 Polana - Wolfpack Compound

Approximate time and date of the incident (SERVER TIME):  2019-07-26 | Approx. 5:30-8:30 server

Your in game name: Phoenyxx - Wolfpack

Names of allies involved: Wolfpack/Robbie ( @Malthis )

Detailed description of the events: 

Most of wolfpack logged out at about 5:30 server time where our base was completely fine and secure. Robbie ( @Malthis ) had logged in and alerted Kenny ( @bur ) that something seemed off. Kenny woke up to assess what had happened and discovered the following:

-          Front gate wire was taken off, turning the gate into a solid fence. We do not take wires off our bases anymore because codelocks work just fine.

-          Our codelock was still intact with the same code, meaning that they either guessed our code or did not use that as an entrance.

-          The front frames of the gate and wall were taken apart, you can see the crowbar in the one screenshot above, meaning someone did attempt to hack through the walls.

-          The blue car, which was secured inside the compound was found outside our compound ruined. We believe it is shot up, but we have no idea how it got out of the base.

Our concerns:

-          How the car got outside without walls being completely destroyed/gate being opened.

-          Why the front of the compound was hacked away at but not successfully destroyed and they still managed to get inside

-          Why the wire was removed (can’t be for the sake of needing a wire because there are like 3-4 others inside the tents)

-          Nothing seems to be actually taken, which we believe then the damage and actions taken are completely unnecessary if the goal wasn’t to get in to take things

 

We do know that our base potentially can be boosted into but it would take at least 5-6 people to successfully do so. So there is a potential for ghosting to get inside our base which is why we are looking at possible ghosting.

(to add, wire was reapplied because thankfully someone was logged inside our compound to put it back on hence why its still on in the screenshot).

Can i request the connection log of @Malthis as well to potentially match to their disconnect? 

When he awoke inside our base he said he thought he heard someone load a gun but then no one was there. 

Just finding it strange that the connection logs show them get on to do this to our base and then suddenly get off.

EDITED: answered my own question with position logs that they didn't just log out after hearing someone in base. So dont need connection logs pulled from Robbie.

Are there any logs regarding the vehicle in any form for the damage done to it? I was helping in regards to the making of this report last night and believe that should be brought up as well. 

Should be all I need to say in this report unless anything else pops up.

POV: Myself and Joe went into Polona searching for Wolf Pack, who we suspected of working with our enemy to kill us. Once reaching the town, we found that no one was around. Thinking we heard movement inside of the camp, myself and Joe began to hack away at the walls, attempting to break in. Unfortunately, we found that after breaking through the wooden planks on the walls, we were still unable to enter the camp. I removed the wire from the walls, thinking that would be the final step to removing the gate and allowing us entrance to the camp. Myself and Joe waited several minutes to see if anyone would log in, but after finding no interaction and seeing only 15 people on the server, we chose to log off. We never actually managed to get into the walls and search for our suspect nor were we able to look through the tents. As you can see in the connection logs, neither of us logged into S2 that day. Not sure what happened with the car. As stated in the report, the code lock was not broken and the wall was still partially in tact. We never made it into the base to even attempt steaming the vehicle. To recap, myself and Joe sought to intrude on the wolf pack camp and search for a suspected Pack member who may have been hiding from us. We failed to gain entry into the camp, and decided to log out after seeing low server population and find no interaction.

Joeys POV

got on late and walked to polana to see if anyone was there. Found no one so we tried breaking in to the base. After spending 10 minutes breaking the top and bottom piece of the fence we went to break the frame and it wouldn't let us. Tried crawling through the top and bottom but that didnt work. We then got a hatchet and it finally let us break the frame. After doing that for 5 minutes  it doesn't do anything and the frame still stands. So after wasting 20-30 minutes of my time I call it a night and log out.

 

Now as for the car being outside of the walls I got no idea. When I logged out it was still in the back.  Didn't take the wire either.

How did you manage to take off wire from the outside of the compound? Ive had someone test it out, wire isn't accessible from outside, unless we are completely wrong. Always thought wire was only accessible from the inside. Can an admin confirm this? ( we tested it today and could not remove the wire outside )

Never took wire off unless it came off by it self when we took the the bottom and top part off.

@Realize going to confirm with those that were awake when the screenshot was taken. Just gotta let him get back to me. 

@Joe i understand you said you didnt but in @BrayBoats pov it states he did remove wire in a final attempt to get in.

Summary:

On July 26th at 5:30am server time most members of the Wolfpack had logged out of the game for the night. Before doing so, the last members had made sure that their camp was locked up and secure for the night. Upon logging in a few hours later, @Malthis had noticed that they had been broken into and alerted @bur who proceeded to check out what damage had been done. Upon inspecting the damage, @bur noticed that the wire had been taken off the gate, the front frames of the gate and walls were taken apart and a blue Ada 4x4 had been driven out of the camp and had all four of it's tyres shot.

Explanation:

@Phoenyxx as there are no logs to indicate that your base was ghosted into the accused will be found not guilty of ghosting. In addition, the walls that were dismantled show no clear signs of griefing. We have came to the conclusion due to the fact that it seems to be a normal break in with no ill intentions. Only two walls were dismantled which we have deemed to be not excessive and as stated, breaking walls to gain entry to a base for gear is completely acceptable. The shooting of all four tyres on the car is unacceptable and something that can be seen as griefing. However, as we do not have an evidence to pin point a culprit we can't come to guilty verdict and as such will be marked as inconclusive.

Outcome:

@BrayBoat - Ghosting/Griefing - NOT GUILTY

@Joe - Ghosting/Griefing - NOT GUILTY
