Can’t aim down scopes in hands

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this has been raised but I used to be able to look through hunting scopes, acog scopes etc when I had them in my hands but now it starts to do the animation but then suddenly stops...

Hello @Biiddy,

All optics/binoculars/rangefinder are broken since the last update. The only way to look through a scope is if it is attached to a weapon. I believe this is a DayZ issue and thus there is nothing we can do about it.

FYI, I wouldn't recommend looking through your scope attached to your weapon at people, you'll likely find yourself getting your head blown-off. Whether it's an invalid kill or not, despite what is covered in the rules, I always cover my ass in the majority OOC reasons. Using common sense is one of them. You wouldn't point a gun at a person in real life without intent to kill, so don't do it in-game.

Not sure what this has to do with the topic, never mentioned looking through my scope at people whilst on my weapon I said whilst in hands
