WESTSIDEBULL 4 Posted February 12 (edited) About the 1STMRB: 1st Marine Raider Battalion is organized, trained and equipped to deploy for worldwide missions as directed by MARSOC. Each Marine Special Operations Companies (MSOCs) is task-organized with personnel uniquely skilled in special equipment support, intelligence and fire-support. The MRBs are MARSOC's combat units. MRB operators are trained in direct action, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defense, and unconventional warfare. ---------------------------------------------------------- “1st Marine Raider Battalion - Loading up to move out” The Blood Pack is where this story begins. 3 soldiers who happened to end up being detached to the same Marsoc Combat Unit (1stMRB) and activated to assist with the outbreak. Where the US had pulled back troops from South Zagoria to Utes Island and was calculating the next move as the NATO fleet ambled off the coast of Chernarus, unsatisfied and annoyed with losses and failure to reach ground zero. As the outbreak spread across the northern parts of South Zagoria, Chernarus, the CDF was vastly undermanned to deal with the threat. A NATO task force from Utes was sent to help evacuate civilians and secure the south. Sources from CIA operatives and drone footage and the Russian bombardment of the Kamensk military site, suggests that this was possible ground zero. A MARSOC team along with several US army scientists deployed on the 9th July to venture towards the base, however, shit hit the fan. Few Raiders died and eventually we had no choice but to withdraw back to Utes. On our time back on Utes lot of rigorous training was forced so we would be better prepared once we were redeployed so we trained day and night waiting to be redeployed it took us almost 2 years before we got a new assignment. The new assignment was to go back to Chernarus, South Zagoria to observe the Russian border since hostilities lately have been escalating between the two countries and to conduct some peacekeeping missions. Our deployment had been approved by the Chernarussian Government, but we must report any findings back to our command and the 93rd Brigade South Zagoria stationed on Utes/Miroslav too. When I look back from where we started I am honored to walk beside and serve beside my heroes every day," Jackson said. "Just living and breathing and sweating and gun fighting beside guys like that ... they just work in the shadows, that's all they want and they care about their brothers. ---------------------------------------------------------- A decade after the Marine Corps stood up its new special operations command, Marine Raiders are helping lead the charge against the OutBreak, training local troops across the South Zagoria and quietly conducting missions across the Cheranarus region. “Marine Raiders with US Forces, 1st Marine Raider Battalion.” Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command activated on Feb. 24, 2006, to lend the Corps' muscle to U.S. Special Forces Command as it took on expanded operations in South Zagoria, Chernarus and beyond. “1stMRB on the MARSOC the Individual Training Course (ITC) pictured on an exercise.” Beginning as a fledgling force drawn from two Marine force reconnaissance companies, MARSOC expanded to three special operations battalions — each with its own support battalion — aligned with Chernarus region. “1stMRB with the United Nation (UN) engaging BPR forces from inside/behind a Kawasaki LTATV-2 vehicle while on patrol” MARSOC has grown into a mature Special Operations Forces organization over the last 10 years and is on a sustainable operations path. ---------------------------------------------------- Team Commander ( Lieutenant Colonel): @kingofkingskey1 / Zach Brannagain Team Leader (Captain): @WESTSIDEBULL / Jackson Black Team Chief (Master Sergeant): Operations Sergeant (Gunnery Sergeant): @MrMeepMeep / Justin Epps Assistant Operations Sergeant (Staff Sergeant): ------------------------------------------------- Element Leader (Staff Sergeant): Assistant Element Leader (Sergeant): Element Member (Corporal): @AFluffyBrick / David york Assistant Element Member (Private - Lance Corporal): @Austin Merkelo / Austin Merkelo Navy Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARC): ---------------------------------------------------------- - Provide food, water, and medical supplies to those in need (Indefinitely) - Secure areas to be called 'safe zones' free from infected (Ongoing) - Eliminate all terrorist / Opposing organizations in the area. Ke Ke 93 Posted February 12 Goodluck. I see a lot of civilians trying to run MilSim groups and many members of said groups not following rules/orders. Hopefully this is different 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Vandal 90 Posted February 12 Is this suppose to be accurate to the real deal structure or are you just meshing it a little to work with the "dayz" realm? Either way good luck with the group. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Combine 111 Posted February 12 (edited) Oh hey, we need a group like this at this time badly if you ask me, lore or event-wise. Really looking forward to it! Only suggestion I have is to rewrite the initial group lore. Correct me if I am wrong, but a part of it it reads a bit like a copy-paste of the server lore part with your group name thrown in but AFAIK the date would be a tad too early for foreign intervention. Unless we suddenly already had US forces (this unit) near ground zero when it was about to happen. If not I suggest to cut that part out (or fix the date if it was meant to be later?) and just elaborate roughly what the unit saw since infection or their recent action since then. That way no one can nitpick like I did Also good to try to teach military aspects. As someone who did not serve but played chars with such former or reserve backgrounds I realize how tough it can be to portray it properly when it would make sense. Whether active, reserve or former, while not every literal sentence is "I am/was a soldier!" it is basically the right behavior at the right time. But enough of the essay, teaching mindset and tactics and some protocol doesn't sound bad. Good luck and have fun! Edited February 12 by Combine 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Greener161 36 Posted February 12 Some glaring issues I see with the group. - Initial NATO response came several days later after initial outbreak to help evacuate and stem the tide of the infected. Weird to think the Chernarussians or Russians wanted a random ass marine unit at their top secret facility literally days before the outbreak. Why would Chernarus or Russia want the Western World to really know what happened there. - Im confused by when you put that you operate in the Czech Republic. You realise that the CR is quite far away from Chernarus as Chernarus is located towards the Eastern part of the Black Sea and no where near adjacent to the CR. It would be a logistic nightmare for the US to send back and forth a tiny marine unit all that distance. - The area you operate in is actually South Zagoria, an oblast in Chernarus. - Why you say reinstate Chernarussian Government what do you mean. Just to South Zagoria or to Chernarus as a whole. As the government exists off in the Western oblast. We have a president called Radec Kozlov, and the CDF and government still operate in the large cities such as Novigrad, Primorsk and Miroslavl. - Those terrorist forces you refer to, I suggest researching the BPR. - Recent events such as the Russian fuel rod crisis in the North and potential annexation of South Zagoria could be a good point for MARSOC to return. I think you really need to read the majority of the lore posts, those including the news from the outside world, old event posts etc. I dont think you have quite grasped it. Other than me being nitpicky with it, the thread looks solid. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Combine 111 Posted February 12 Speaking of lore here are interesting bits. People refer to it but I might as well actually link the likely relevant threads. General lore you likely know already since there are snippets of it in the existing group lore by wording: https://www.dayzrp.com/lore/ Lore spun forth after initial "foundation" or starting lore (not just OP but posts throughout the thread): Hope it helps, whether your group or anyone else reading this. Just meant as help. Would like to see a group like this get through, but the current group lore may need adjustments for that to happen. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

FireDude 150 Posted February 12 This is good. I was hoping to see some more US based groups coming around. I would 100% make a character to fit in to this Unit, however I would sudjest creating some more date based goals instead of every one being ongoing, like a safe zone by day 320 or something. All in all GL boys, God bless the US Mother fucking A. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Zero 1462 Posted February 12 (edited) Uh. I don’t really understand why a US special forces would be doing something that the CDF or more likely COBR would be handling. Doesn’t really make sense to me that the Chernarussian government would ask the US to come secure a base that their specialist unit would handle, especially since they are a nationalist government and want to stay away from foreign intervention or help. Would make more sense if they were attached to a NATO unit or something. Other than that I personally don’t like special forces groups unless their Russian or Chernarussian but that’s my personal opinion. Edited February 12 by Zero 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Hex 147 Posted February 13 I believe I had the pleasure of running into y’all a few days ago on the airfield ( or it was another group of Marine special forces ) and I though it went well. The super soldier vibes were kept to a minimum and they felt like they had a mission and generally understood how to behave. It’s often difficult to nail the way a group should act and behave after such a long time since the outbreak began, do you continue speaking and acting like it’s a full fledged military operation or do you relax up a bit. It’s a balancing act. hope for the best and hope y’all can bring military groups some positive light. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Biggsbe 39 Posted February 14 Look forward into running to you all in game. Good luck. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
MGGenao 0 Posted February 15 Outside of some of the lore issues already stated, looks good. Might need to dress up the grammar and verbiage but that's about it. Also food for thought but MARSOC wouldn't be used as a relief force to deliver aid, probably leave to that groups like the UN and focus on a more specialized military presence within the server, keepin in line with the core mission of the Raiders. Might help both groups find their niche as well as help your odds of approval if you do something more specific and less redundant. Also Raiders don't screen anyone below E4 which are corporals, and once selected they're promoted to E5 so the lowest rank you'd have in a team would be a sergeant. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
