Denigrata really began a long time ago. It began back when O'Brien was leading security operations at the National Bank of Chernarus. He had his objectives and he had his deadlines. He got the job done. It was in this time he had learned what was required to thrive in these apocolyptic times. Grit. "Do you want the location of our enemy? Sure you do. We could find what they wear these days, their shoe size." O'Brien began to have an aptitude for talking to people, he became what he needed to be to get what he needed. He was a trader and a bandit. He was the man struggling behind a run down house and the generous soul who would offer some game he recently hunted. If you had something to say, and you do, everyone does, he'd get talking. So would you.

Currency hadn't caught on like O'Brien thought it might so he left and travelled to the far north eastern region of South Zagoria. This place is truly desolate. "You find someone? You get a book deal when this is over". O'Brien has said that one a few more times than he should have to people he met here. He still finds humour in the worst of times. He catches onto a transmission from a man who says he is the Broker. The signal is remarkably clear . We're talking about as good as 80's radio level clear. This was good news. Civilization, perhaps? Heading towards the closest radio tower that could have relayed the signal, O'Brien meets a man placing down his radio and boarding up an old shack next to the radio tower. This 'broker' was insignificant at the time but would later go on to catch up to O'Brien to form Denigrata a long time down the road.

O'Brien's time in the Brokerage is not important. What is important however was the last month he could call himself a Savior. O'Brien had been setting up shop with Saviors in Novaya, helping traders and dispensing justice within the city. A nice change of pace. This place could really be called home. Good things must come to an end. That very thought crossed O'Brien's mind as a bullet crossed the mind of man who stood before him - a complete stranger, he did nothing wrong. The raiders came again. Tortuga, as it stood was raised to the ground. Civilians were executed. The saviors were ousted. This was war had gone too far for too long.

Who were the people who did this? Truly, who are they? O'Brien can barely get the picture of the happy go lucky stranger losing their life just feet in front him out of his mind. O'Brien saught Moody to establish an intelligence division within the Saviors. It was this day that would mark the start of O'Brien's last month as a Savior. His home destroyed, his friends left unburied in the streets O'Brien did what he did best and started to talk. Convincing himself more than others that what he was doing was a benefit not only to the living, but the friends he had lost. The enemies too. Maybe. Probably not. Certainly. Not.

Others had seen the carnage. Others saw that something had to be done. Intelligence was a deserved distraction from the wasteland they were subjected to every day. No wars and no corpses. Just people. Just people and what people say. This attracted many Saviors to help O'Brien. Their work might end this war, It did for them at least. Time passed and interactions with raiders became uncommon. A name was given to this group of people. Not original, but it fit. People liked it. Intel. It was at this time that the division was at its peak. It's work was significantly impacting the Saviors. The members of Intel could each see that with every slice of information they gathered, they might just be able to find a place the raiders cannot reach. Interactions with raiders fell to damn near zero. Really, it was a shame. Had it been zero, maybe things would have worked out better. Tortuga had been reborn in the city the people would call Novo. On it's first day, its opening. The raiders came once more. The Saviors, unprepared, were slaughtered. O'Brien caught a few bullets but miraculously survived.

From an emotional perspective, O'Brien wasn't too upset. No civilians were killed. Not that he saw, not like before. But still, the Saviors went on a warpath to destroy the towns the raider's would call home. O'Brien could not blame them. That was the second time our home had been destroyed. We could not let this go unpunished. He could not let this go unpunished. With the few that remained the Saviors were still a fighting force. They sacked Kabanino. Twice. Many dead. Countless wounded, on both sides tears would run. "It could not go unp-" "-on, it could not go on.". Rerturning to the staging point that Intel had before the fight. O'Brien declared before his men, the very same who had seen the peace and quiet that intel had offered and the horrors of war, that this bloodshed could not continue. O'Brien would try his hardest to convince some men to come with him. Most refused. But the few that agreed would leave that shack in that forest hill behind them. Perhaps to use their skills for something other than the war games of the powerful. They would use them for themselves. They would not see another brother-in-arms fall. By any means necessary.

The second part of our story starts with the Highwaymen. A band of tight-knit individuals, It would seem our ideals match. After hearing of the their exploits in Novaya, we would get in touch and set up a meeting. To Denigrata’s surprise, the meeting went way better than what was expected. An agreement was made and a friendship was born.

The next day the Highwaymen went on a scouting mission in Novaya, what they didn't know was that two of their identities were discovered shortly after entering the city. The Saviors staged an ambush lead by John Moody in the town square of Novaya Petrovka. The Saviors thought they had the the upper hand believing they had the two Highwaymen surrounded. The Saviors approached the Highwaymen with John Moody at their front. As he approached the rest of the undiscovered Highwaymen lied in wait for the inevitable blood bath. As John made his move he was gunned down and injured instantly as the two exposed Highwaymen fought their way to safety. John Moody and his men were left lying in their own streets bullet ridden.

The Highwaymen’s distaste for the Saviors was what drew us together to work hand in hand. Whilst O’Brien was not the one who had started Denigrata’s issues with the Saviors, he would be the man to end it. “The Highwaymen are a valuable addition to Denigrata who might just help us build the world we want”. O’Brien was satisfied and Nicholas would agree. Having talked about their exploits during their meeting, a bird would ask for a real example. Getting ahead of himself yet he would still receive an answer. “We take from those who take, we kidnap and we meet deadlines".

Hearing this on the radio, O’Brien was impressed. This group of men would certainly be the kind of expansion to Denigrata that would lead him to his goals. As a test of this new found friendship, a plan was proposed. “Let’s see what you can do. You say you get what you want? Get us what we want.” The room fell silent but everyone could hear what O’Brien was asking for. “An agent of ours recently decided to leave. The Freemen - she joined the Freemen. I don’t care for her return or for her safety. But make the Freemen understand that Nobody is safe and everyone talks.

Along with some of O’Brien’s men, the Highwaymen would make their way to Green Mountain at the dead of night. Stalking the treeline and keeping their presence unknown, O’Brien would break from his men and show himself to the men at the gates. “I don’t suppose Skye Hunter lives here does she? I heard she wanted to trade for weapons and ammo!”. The man at the gate would fall silent only for a second with the reply that was all that O’Brien needed. “Yeah she’s here, don’t know about the trading though, this place’s previous owners were traders but not us.”. A conversation followed but it’s contents do not matter. What matters is that shortly after this conversation the following morning, Denigrata and the Highwaymen descended upon the compound.

O’Brien was grazed in the left arm, only a little bleeding but nothing serious. A couple days with a covering and it would be fine. The firefight ensued and the Freemen scurried up their tower into safety - occasionally coming outside to check for our locations but they would only find shots coming their way. “This is taking too long, they have to be stalling”. O’Brien leaves the compound as he has a suspicious feeling that something is not right. It wasn’t.

A band of survivors catch him down the road. “Hands in the air!” followed by “Drop your weapon now!”. O’Brien, surrounded and alone, had no choice but to do what the man said. O’Brien would immediately spot the flaw that would lead to these poor souls’ demise. They were, ultimately, good people. O’Brien would convince them that his life was under threat inside the Green Mountain compound and that they have to go and help. These were good people but they weren’t entirely stupid. They took O’Brien’s suppressor, knowing that if he might try retaliating, at least they will know where he was shooting from.

Leaving towards Green Mountain, the survivors would wish O’Brien well as they went to get involved in the fight at Green Mountain. Unbeknownst to them, O’Brien was not the kind to forgive a robbery. “You have 5 men approaching the compound from the South-East.”. A brief period of radio silence would end with “3...2...1” and a volley of gunfire. The survivors had been surrounded by both Denigrata and The Highwaymen. The survivors would return fire but it would be for nought. With most being gunned down and left to bleed on the streets, O’Brien and his men would decide to leave with two injured of their own. Enough damage had been done. “Fellas, let's go home.”.

Pretty nice group you have here. I see no reason to turn you away from being accepted, however, a few more date-specific goals and less indefinite goals would be a welcome sight.

Congratulations, best of luck & make sure you get those group CP invites out there.
