Are tents supposed to disappear after restart?

Question

Jon Snow    0

Just a quick question.

Me and my group had two military tents at the medical clinic in stary on S1 last night, a member of the group got on S1 early this morning only to discover that the tents had disappeared, are they supposed to disappear?

No they're not. It's more than likely they were pillaged by visitors; especially given that they were in one of the most heavily traveled cities.

The tents disappear after a week of you not interacting with them, server restarts don't matter. There was an update today so that might be the cause but if not, then someone stole them.

You left a high value item in a highly populated area. You got robbed, bud.

Hello @Jon Snow

These are the ways that your tent will go missing:

  • Un-Scheduled wipes (This happens sometimes randomly, it's just DayZ Being DayZ
  • None Interactions (The tent de-spawns if it has not been interacted with, within a week.)
  • You got jacked (Your tent got stolen)
  • Planned Wipes (All Persistence items, such as barrels and tents get robbed, these are all announced on the forums)

You left it in Stary on S1? Yeah... You probably got jacked up...
