I've sent an application with this backstory. What do you guys think?

Name: Ivan Levkovich

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Nationality: Russian

Profession: Local industrial worker

It was one of those days where the sun shined so bright that a walk around the beach would be the only refreshing thing you could do. The wind slightly pushing into your face from the east coast of Berezino, birds singing songs echoing from above the highest trees and little sailing boats gently pushing along the waves of the water. But was it really as peaceful as described above? Where was the sun when the afflicted tore down cities in a matter of minutes? Where were the birds when the flesh of innocent civilians were ripped off for the purpose of appetite for these strange and abnormal beings? Because that's all they were at the very beginning of this apocalypse; a mystery that would never reveal itself. A mystery we would like to describe as the undead.

It was a strange phenomenon, this apocalypse. It was at that time that Ivan Levkovich, a local industrial worker, hopped into his car to began his short journey back to his house in Tulga. Here he resided together with his loving wife and daughter, barely making a living after the horrible civil war that had destroyed the land of Chernarus. During the civil war and after, Ivan worked in Berezino to craft weapons for the soldiers and mercenaries of his homeland. He was a very educated man but there was no place for his knowledge in these lands. You either took it upon yourself to work as an underpaid worker or roamed the lands as a homeless savage. Since Ivan had a family he had no other choice but to take the job and make the best out of it all.

Ivan opened the doors of his car when suddenly he heard a scream coming from the factory he worked in. It was common for a worker to get beaten if he did not comply with the rules, so Ivan did not really pay attention to it. He sat down into his driver seat and was about to insert his keys to start the engine until he heard another scream. Ivan froze for a second as this scream was rather unusual. It didn't come from the factory, but from the village. And then it all started; Screams coming from everywhere either dying from agony or screaming for help. Out of panic he started his engine and drove off while eyeing around him seeing everyone being eaten alive. It wasn't for long until one of these strange beings appeared in front of his car. It shocked Ivan so much that he took a great swoop with his steering wheel and drove himself into a nearby shack. The impact made him pass out inside the car. The back of the car was sticking out of the barn, without any possible way of getting out of there or getting in there which essentially was the way Ivan saved himself from getting eaten that day.

Hours and hours later Ivan woke up and found himself trapped inside the shack with only some scratches and bruises. He looked outside the back window to check for any other survivors, but the area around him seemed to be abandoned. He had to go back to Tulga, he had to see his wife and daughter and protect them. With this in mind, he crawled outside of the car and found a way to open the door of the shack from the inside. The streets were abandoned. It seemed like everyone moved inlands or was either dead. Ivan sprinted towards Tulga. It was a long and tiresome walk to get up there but when he finally made it up the hill he stood still. The door of the house was open and the windows were shattered. He ran up to the house until he stopped out of shock and dropped to the floor. Through the shattered glass there were two bodies with a large pool of blood to be seen throughout the window. His wife and daughter hands were bonded together by rope and their necks were slit by a knife that lied next to them. This was obviously a bandit's doing.

Weeks passed after that event where Ivan locked himself up inside one of the other houses of his neighbours. For days he wept and wept until one day he just snapped. Being alone for this long had made him an awkward and strange man, maybe even a lunatic or an anarchist. He began treasuring the weapons he had taken from his own house instead of despising the weapons he had to make as a worker. He did not care for zombies or the dead. They did not steal his life, his everything. It was other people that he hated. He has now become a man who will do everything to bring others down with deceiving schemes. Will he be able to find the bandits that took his wife and daughter’s lives?

Nvm I reread it, although that sentence does not roll off the tongue.
