Kabanino, a small village sitting pretty amongst the center of this chaotic new world. Once a prosperous trade town of some sorts, this town was not always as it is now. Many moons ago before the hostilities caused the town to become just as corrupt as the nearby towns of Stary Sobor and Novy Sobor a group of people lived there, they were known by many as The Children Of Chernarus for they were young in years but also brave and strong. The Children Of Chernarus came to be due to a series of quite unfortunate events that surrounded pre-outbreak and outbreak Chernarus. During the initial evacuations that failed terribly the local authorities attempted to evacuate the children to keep the next generation safe in the hopes that they would secure the nations future.

When the first case was reported and while it was been dealt with at Zelenogorsk the people began to hear unusual reports across the nation of a strange virus that caused the infected people to become savages, during this initial scare the local authorities seen fit to begin the evacuation of some of the nearby medical facilities in the area of Zelenogorsk which included sending the children in those facilities to Kabanino, a place they figured would be so isolated that in the case of further infection the children would be safe there, how wrong they were.

The quick devastation of the Zelenogorsk area caused many to fear the worst. People began to bring their children to Kabanino after hearing about this safe place that took care of children and offered a stable enviornment even during all the outside chaos. The village began to fill up very fast which led to the closing of the "Safe Zone". The people that kept flooding in were sent further north away from Kabanino and were never heard from again. Withing the first two weeks the village had lost contact with the outside world and was plunged into a world of darkness causing a huge amount of uncertainty amongst the protectors of these children. The days became longer and the nights more silent. Supplies quickly diminished and caused further stress as the protectors had to keep going further and further out on supply runs and some never returned, presumed dead, missing or desertors. While those who still remained with the children tried to provide the same level of stability for them, the resources were just not there to allow this to continue. One dark night, around 20 - 30 days after the infection hit a man by the name of Jake Hoxton decided that it was time to take over the village and his twisted and evil mind, hell bent by fear wanted to cannibalise the children in order to survive. A struggle broke out and shots were fired. The night brought around the death of 7 of the 73 children been held at the village. Their bodies were burnt on the orders of Jake Hoxton who prevailed as the new self-declared leader of the village.

The next few days brought around huge changes to the village. The children were stripped of all unneccessary toys and goods that could be used for other purposes. The children were moved into the barns that surrounded the village and kept there under watch all day and night. Terrified and frightened a little boy by the name of Timmy Long had the courage to take on the guards. Timmy was the eldest child at the village, at the age of 12 Timmy had enough knowledge to know how bad these men were and heard them discussing their plans to eat the children. Timmy, in the darkness that is night pretended to faint in front of the barn entrance in which he was been kept. The guards slowly moved in trying to figure if they should call for help or not. One of the guards turned away from Timmy and placed his assualt rifle on the floor in which case Timmy grabbed in with haste and sprayed down the men. The shots attracted the attention of everyone within the villages area including the nearby herd of walkers near a local military base that evacuated at the start of the outbreak. Timmy rushed the 20 children that were in the barn outside and ordered them to run south-east until they reached a forest, in the forest he told them that they would find a small cabin used by hunters back before all this. The children listened to every word that Timmy said and followed his orders with haste and exactly as defined. Timmy began to look around and could see men approaching all angle from the north of the barn. This night he believed was going to be his last, but he knew he would die a hero for saving as many as he possibly could. The children he saved now had a chance at survival.

Ten minutes or so passed and Timmy could hear a man shouting, "Place that weapon on the ground boy, you have no idea what your doing". The voice was that of Jake Hoxton, the man who now ran this place. With no time left to formulate a plan of action Timmy only had one thing he could do. The herd that he knew were at the local Military base could barely be seen arriving from the north-west. They needed to come over here, Timmy knew they were the only hope he had to free the others and deal with the men that took over the town. He fired his shots towards the direction of the men, in the process the area was lit up by gunfire as the men shot back, this attracted the herd to the area. The groans became louder until they sounded like a deafening thunder. Screams and sounds of panic could be heard. Timmy sat in the barn, pulling his legs to his chest he stayed as quiet and still as possible for detection ment certain death. Hours past and night turned to morning. Silence covered the village and Timmy emerged from the barn. Bodies littered the area around the town and in the town itself. As Timmy searched for the body of Jake Hoxton he heard some shouting from the forest area, the children had returned. They were safe and so were the others who were still locked up in the other barns around and near Kabanino. The day belonged to the children, The Children Of Chernarus. Jake Hoxton was presumed to have escaped and gone south but no proof was there to show this as was there no prove to show that he died.

The Children Of Chernarus remained in Kabanino for a number of days until time and hostility forced them out. No one knows where they went to, if they are alive, if Timmy is alive, but the memory of their existence can still be seen in Kabanino by the notes found on the ground and markings on the walls of the buildings. Time will show what happened as it always does. Just another story of the cruel world we now live in and what it forces people to do, even the innocents.

Timmy teaches the children to use a gun.

Well written story in my opinion. I sort of like how you incorporated some pictures from WWII, it adds to the eeriness if that makes sense. The first picture you included is a touchy one, maybe you could have found a better one, but this isn't a bad picture to put in a story like this.
