Maybe it's something to do with your graphics card, did you have this issue before .60?

I will have to agree with Sommer. Verifying my game cache helped me a bunch, no freezes so far. :)

Right click on Dayz in your library and click proprieties. Go under the local files tab and you can see the verify game cache.

In your search box type "dxdiag". Tell me or take a screen shot of what's in the System tab, and Display 1.

Not good, but not bad.

You should be able to run it on lower settings. .60 is a lot more demanding than .59 so I'm guessing that's why you're having some issues.

If it freezers you're entire computer and doesn't let you open up Task Manager - then I'm guessing your computer can't run it.

Some things you could try:

- Clear all launch parameters.

- Run Steam as Administrator.

- Update Windows and all of your drivers.

Could be the one fps glitch that happens? Turn on a fps counter and wait till it happens again. If it indeed the 1 fps bug, then unfortunately theres not much you can do about it, best thing to do is wait it out and not touch anything.

I have a GTX 960 with an I7 4790 4ghz, and even I still get it.

Just another alpha dayz thing unfortunately!

As others have said, verify your game cache and see if that fixes it.

This is a very common issue for any players in the 0.60 patch. It has happened a lot recently for me but verifying my game integrity removed the problem completely. I believe it has something to do with a very specific object that sometimes fails to render. Either way, just try verifying your game integrity and you should be okay.
