Interview with Harvey

The idea of interview a community member is to take yet another step forward towards bringing the

community together.

The idea is to create a thread where we will interview a random community member.

During this interview we will ask the community member some questions regarding the community and how their DayZRP experience has been.

This week we interviewed:

Thank you so much for participating!

~ Tell us something unique about yourself! ~

In all honesty, I'm not an entirely unique guy. I just lounge about and play video games all day.

~ Which section in the Forum are the you most interested in and why? ~

Definitely the off-topic section, specifically the memes thread, so I can scope out all the fresh memes, though in hindsight, that sounds a bit cringey doesn't it?

~ How did you find out about DayZRP? ~

I found out about the community from a few youtube videos, back when there was still a mod server. I can't remember who I watched, other than PsiSyndicate.

~ Have you made any friends during your time in this community? ~

Yes, a completely unexpected amount of friends. I've made some of my closest friends in this community, and it's something I'll always be grateful for. Shout out to Rich AKA Max, Catalyst, Flluroz, Helena, Vic, and the rest of the hommies.

~ Is there something that you would like to see added to our community? ~

I think the community could benefit from more events, things to add lore to our server, and to bring us together more often.

~ What are some of your most memorable DayZRP experiences? ~

There is this one specific incident that comes to mind. Back when I was still pretty new to the community, me and a group of friends were talking while making our way up north. One member of our party had been in a fit of depression, and suddenly brought it up, which prompted another guy to start taunting him about it. Long story short, the depressed guy lagged behind, and suddenly, we heard a gunshot. When we turned back, we saw him lifeless on the ground. It was an extremely emotional event, and even more emotional funeral.

~ Do you have a video of your favorite roleplay moment you would like to share with us? ~

Unfortunately I do not. Most of my favorite RP moments haven't been caught on video, which is a shame.

~ Do you have a video of your favorite funny moment ingame you would like to share with us? ~

A little bit of context, me and Rich (PanicAtTheLena) were playing a pair of aggressive Serbian brothers, and decided to initiate on these guys, after one of them had pointed a bow at me. What follows is an eternal meme.

~ What do you think someone should at least do once while playing DayZRP (funny and serious and of course within the rules) ~

Everyone should play an Irish character at least once. It's something everyone deserves to experience.

~ If you could meet one roleplay character you have met ingame in RL, who it would and why? ~

Definitely my friend Catalyst's main character, Isaac Blake. He's such a charismatic, relaxed, and intelligent guy, it's hard not to want to hang out with him.

~ Ingame, what is your favorite location to hang out? ~

Novy Sobor summer camp. It's the headquarters of L.I.F.E., and overall, just an excellent place to chill out and have top notch RP.

~ What do you feel is the best thing about DayZRP and our community? ~

The top tier roleplay, and the connections and relationships between community members. My friends in this community are like family, and they're my favorite element of the server.

~ Is there anything you regret IC and OOC, since you have joined DayZRP (if yes, what and why?) ~

The only things I regret are certain incidents of OOC drama, nothing that I care to list here. But other than that, I don't regret a thing.

~ Do you have any tips or hints for newcomers? ~

Get involved. Not only on the forums, but in game. Meet and talk to new people, make friends. Interactions with other members of the community are a must.

~ Is there anything you would like to see more of within the community? ~

It may make me sound like a broken record, but definitely more interaction between members of the community. Events, basically anything to bring us all closer together. A more connected community, is a happier community.
