Lore Ideas

So under Lore and Stories we could have a sub-category called "Lore Ideas".

These ideas would not be added to the official DayZRP lore but just little stories and ideas that anyone could use in character.

For example,

I create a "Lore Idea" called "The Ghost of Black Forest" - I wright a small yet detailed story and description about the ghost stories, people's experiences and so on.

This idea would then be approved or archived by the Loremasters depending on the realism and sense of the story.

If approved anyone could use these stories and ideas in character.

It would not be a legit ghost which floats around and eats people, just a story or legend which can be discussed and talked among each other in game.

Simple lore ideas and stories like this could really add and improve in character conversations and RP sessions.

Couldnt people do this in game anyway?

If you want to create a story about a certain place, such as a ghost story, then you could go in game and spread around the rumour that a certain area was haunted. or if you just want to say a certain event happened somewhere, go in game and spread it around. The rumour/story will spread quickly if you tell a few people.

Alternatively, you could use the radio sub forum for the same thing. Make a post in the radio section broadcasting your experience in a certain location, warning others to say its haunted for example or what ever tickles your fancy.

Its not a bad idea, but personally I dont see the need for an additional sub forum.

Yes you could however it is unlikely people would do this in their own time anyway, they're likely to be focusing on other things IG.

My point is alot of people would know about it, even before the apocalypse. It would be a story/legend people have grown up to know about and people have their own pov's of the legend.

It's not forced at all. It is your choice whether your character knows it or not.

The Lore Idea's themselves are not IC posters or anything like that, just knowledge from characters who have been told the stories before or during the apocalypse.

People can change it slightly if they like but not to their own advantage, that's how rumors and stories happen - they change and evolve over time anyway.

I think this an awesome idea. As long as people understand that its just an idea, and wont get salty if they put in a bunch of work and not have it be added to the official lore.

Only problem is that would add more to their plate.

Ideally approving then wouldn't require a team. Just one LM reading it and deciding if it fits in with the lore. Either that or get some extra LM's so things go faster.
