Group idea (Looking for feedback)

So I had planned on creating a new group (Haven't even gotten the name yet cause creative ideas come to me very slowly) But the premise of the group is a nomadic group more so based around an internal power struggle within it's ranks, I'm hoping if I do go through with this is to make a more unique group with all members using the group to achieve their own goals and having higher ranking members always struggling to maintain their influence and position whilst having newer members fight and create alliances to gain more influence and higher positions, feedback is greatly appreciated as I wish to do my best with this group if I move forward with pushing it into the group ideas.

Honestly it doesn't sound so much like a group idea as it does a very interesting internal RP scenario. The group 'idea' itself seems quite generic/bland however the internal power struggle is very cool and would work well in a group without a strict OOC hierarchy. Obviously it'd need members who can separate OOC and IC well otherwise there may be a bit of salt from people being deposed/losing their rank etc.

Well I do hope to not make it just internal RP but I can see your point there, as the for the group idea being quite bland I did only come up with this very very bare bones idea roughly half hour ago hence the thread so I can see opinions on the idea and build upon it from there.  As for the seperating OOC and IC I'd have to maybe make a footnote of it somewhere as to clarify that, thankyou for the feedback mang.

I like the idea of members in a group fighting each other for power. It would make things interesting when it comes to the groups relationship with other people. Some groups might like the group under one leader, but next week they could be enemies because someone they dont like is in charge.

If you want to try making the group I'd say go for it. Obviously you'll need more than just this, backstory, etc. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you think you need it.

Ty, I spent maybe an hour and a half trying to even come up with a name for it but to no avail, so I hopefully plan to integrate this into the group mental and I had started which I have now taken over, ty for the feedback though!

Yeah the OOC salt was something I considered but the concept of it would be laid out upon someone applying if I continue this idea or integrate it into another group idea I'm sort of working on, hopefully it goes well and this idea can become something different and enjoyable for everyone involved!

I love IC recruitments, it creates this character arc and really helps with character development. But I have nothing against OOC recruitment as well. Because this has a lot to say when it comes down to people only joining because they might end up with a high rank. If a group like this should work, I think it should be very strictly ICly to help with the OOC salt imo. (<-- Might not be guaranteed either.)

I haven't taken to much thought into that yet as I'm rather unsure if I'll follow through with this idea but personally I'd have to agree that a IC recruitment system would be the best option maybe with a set of trials to find where a person begins on the ladder and then they can work their way up or be knocked down a couple steps.

The idea could be any group really, maybe make a group and just initiate the power struggle in rp whilst attempting other group goals, I feel it would be a lot easier if the group was based around more than just the idea of the power / ranking struggle.

Yeah I can agree to that I'm thinking of just integrating it with a WIP idea I have currently.
