Propaganada

Ok so I wanted some input, I am working on some things for in game. One of which is text propaganda piece.

Now the issue here is that I have never done this sort of thing before.

I mean we can all give a Cowboy speech on the fly but when it comes to writing something short and simple I lack.

Would anyone happen to have any tips as to formatting, content, or possible ideas?

So far I thought of keep it simple. Maybe two, four line paragraphs I could just copy paste?

Can you link images in game? Is anyone aware if the coding allows you to draw an object on the paper old school dos style with a bunch of letters and symbols if you have the time and skills?

Any and all help is appreciated as I would really like to make this something nice, not just the common scrawling.

Hey,

You can always take a look in the Media thread for tips or make a request.

Good luck!

You're looking to create propaganda messages for in-game? I'm fairly certain that you can't link images through DayZ. You'll have to stick with textRP if you want to express that there's a poster or something of that nature hanging up.

Some questions that might help me help you:

What kind of propaganda are you trying to display?

What is the goal is the propaganda?

Keeping it simple would definitely be your best bet, but you can also utilize the media portion of the forums to express this as well. Recorded radio messages via radio chatter are also pretty effective.

Hmmm I think I should have posted there instead of questions.

Move it if needed.

I'll pour over the media area, Just found a pen and book in game, Looks like I can copy and paste so I should be able to do something fun.

As for the Radio, I hit that place all the time, I figured adding in random peppering's of propaganda leaflets for the rebellion through zelengorsk would help amp up the fun.

Have you tried something like this?

This was made using text symbols you can get on your keyboard. Lining them up on an in-game piece of paper might be difficult, however.

Yeah, definitely. I really like the idea of copy and pasting propaganda on paper. You know that if you throw paper against a wall it sticks, right? That should definitely get you started!

I'm going to go ahead and mark this as /solved, but discussion is good and we like it.

That is exactly what I was thinking you're spot on.

Gonna need to collect a lot of books and experiment then save them in text files.

If all goes well I can start hitting Zbor with more quality dissident RP.

I'm just not very.... artsy to put it lightly.
