Detailed description of the events:  So me and Jason went to a chopper crash south of vybor mil and we heard a car coming so we decided to run away. The car stopped, let a guy out to run after Jason, and the car followed me for about 30 sec before letting 2 guys out of the car. I heard them calling me but I knew they were about to rob me so I decided to keep running. I shout at them that I dont want to talk. Another guy come in front of me, tried to cut me. I ran on another direction and he was asking me what i was doing, I told him that Im running way from 4-5 guys with guns running at me. After 20 sec, the guy initiate on me. I only had the time to stop and press the key to holster the weapon and was starting to turn around when I got shot and killed 2 second after getting initiated on (No time to comply).

POV: We are driving around in the car and see two people running in a field. They don't stop to talk so we dismount to try to stop them. They keep running saying less than 5 words. After it becomes clear they aren't going to RP with us, Hellish initiates. Michael clearly hears the initiation and, as I explained to him afterwards, he kept running forward for me so I shot him.

You state that he kept running forward "for you". Do you or any of your allies involved have any video evidence to provide?

You can see clearly in my video that as soon as I got initiated on I stopped running. Even if I had kept running, you gave me 2 second before shooting. And I did tried to RP with your guys but the car was really loud and the other guy kept asking me "Where are you going bud? Where you going?"...

Yes, for me he dysnc'd and continued running. That also explains why his bag was ruined on his body, since for me I shot him in the back. Unfortunately however, none of us had a video.

I understand that glitches can happen (If it did happened) But 2 second is not enough for me to hear the initiation, stop running, holster or drop my weapon and put my hands up... Keep in mind that there was a loud car close to me.

I'm going to warn this right away before it gets out of hand. Do not go back and forth. Otherwise anything unnecessary will be met with in points. Thank you.

Hello, I'm Tsezar Zolotov. I was that amazing driver of the sedan you will see in the video during this claim, and must say it was rather odd. I understand people avoid crowds, but honestly we were in an open field behind Vybor Military Compound. There was no where to run to, and was confused why these two were running away completely avoiding us. We initiated on them because they refused to roleplay with us, and just run. I stopped the car when the initiation was placed, got out, and saw Michael Jobin fall over dead. At this point the player still appeared to have their gun in their hand, and I assumed he was non-compliant, but I was not sure what happened right away.

I can't say what happened because my perspective didn't really see anything besides the body fall. I will say that the aftermath was rather upsetting for a community based around roleplaying. This isn't about gear, and nor should it ever be. This is about roleplay. An unfortunate event happened where there are conflicting perspectives, and a person was killed. That's a shame, but it doesn't excuse the attitude, gear-focused rants, and asking for additional rule breaks as "compensation." I won't break rules because of a possible mistake.

I note two things though, first is that most people who do PvP go into first person. You in the video were initiated on, and went to first person, which of course we couldn't tell from our view until now, but it makes me feel that Bruce had some justification that you were in fact turning to face Hellish, and switched perspectives. I'm not sure what your motives were, but Bruce wasn't out of line, you did turn and face Hellish with a loaded automatic firearm. I realize this is merely hypothetical, and Bruce was cautious, but not fully unjustified.

Secondly, you died, and stated you died over Teamspeak, and tell your friend you were initiated on. This constitutes as metagaming. Your friend was far out of VOIP, over 200 - 300 meters away, and would had no idea. Passing that information along to him after death is unfair to us. Your friend would have no idea you were dead or initiated upon. You should never talk after death even if the situation you believe is unfair. You can't break rules because you believe others have.

Thank you. I will answer any staff questions. I have no video. See you on the roads.

Verdict

Bruce Holmes – RDM – Guilty

Michael Jobin – Blackmail – Guilty

After reviewing the evidence provided, we have come to the following conclusion.

During the encounter witnessed in the video, a very small window of time was given to Michael to comply with the demands, approximately two seconds. He is seen turning around briefly and immediately gets shot by Bruce Holmes. This is obviously not enough time to comply. What his intentions may have been upon turning around, we do not know; however, the trigger was pulled far too soon in this situation.

Michael Jobin. The admin team have been provided additional evidence in the form of screenshots and a recording of your TeamSpeak conversation with the OP and an ally following the situation. What is clear is that the accused wanted to discuss what happened, whereas you simply wanted to demand your gear back otherwise a report would be filed. Listening to the conversation, it's clear you are guilty of blackmail. That sort of action, mixed with your attitude, clearly have no place in this community. Whatever the reason for your death, you are more than capable of getting gear once more. There's zero reason for you to be hostile with people about a situation and demand they provide it to you "or else". Blackmail is something we will not tolerate in our community, now or in the future. With that, the admin team will be utilizing §4 of the community rules. Goodbye.

"Server admins are allowed to punish players for actions not covered on this rule page, as long as they consider the

action or players behavior to be damaging to the community, gameplay, role play or community image."

Outcome

Bruce Holmes – RDM – 3 days + banstrike

Michael Jobin – Blackmail – Permanently banned
