As you guys can see, I'm now a pretty blue name.

I'll be honest when I say that I burned myself out pretty badly during my time in staff, to the point where I stopped enjoying the work. I was pretty much ready to throw in the towel but was encouraged to take a "break" from staff.

We will see in a few weeks whether or not my feelings have changed, but as for right now I am unsure as to if I will return after a few weeks.

Thank you to my little staff family. I can honestly say that --despite my constant teasing-- I love each and every one of you slippery snakes. You guys made my experience a truly fantastic one even towards the end when I was feeling "meh". I can honestly say that you are all incredible people who do a hard job that goes underappreciated. 

I do want the community to know that it is incredibly hard to have to always be the "bad guy" to people.. and that sometimes saying no is very difficult even though it has to be done. I can honestly say that the staff team we have right now is a strong unit of people who have faith in one another and truly care about each other and this community as a whole. It is bitter sweet leaving my lovely little group of goons, but I know the community is in good hands.

... and if they do something to fuck it up after my departure, I'll be sure to jump into TS to knock around a few heads.

I also want to say thank you to all the nominations for staff member of the year. It was unexpected. Hugely unexpected! c:

Being staff in this community is not like being staff in any other community. The work that we do as you know is extremely involved and will grind you down, breaks in my opinion are a necessary thing. I don't have to tell you how amazing you were in staff, you can look at the staff feedback page to know that.
