The idea of interview a community member is to take yet another step forward towards bringing the

community together.

The idea is to create a thread where we will interview a random community member.

During this interview we will ask the community member some questions regarding the community and how their DayZRP experience has been.

This time I interviewed:

djhato

Thank you so much for participating!

~Tell us something unique about yourself!~

Where to start. Well I used to act with various acting clubs a few years back, until it got shot down due to lack of funding.

And after that I went from game to game trying to scratch that itch, until I finally ended here.

I am studying to be a biology teacher.

hobbies are at the moment. dayzRP, smithing, music and skating.

~ How has your DayZRP experience been?~

Amazing from starting a trading outpost to becoming a not so nice doctor. Overall I have been having a blast. The best way I can describe the experience is;

It is like stepping into a spiders web and each strand is a story being told connecting two points. and each strand has a ton of other crisscrossing over each other. And once you step in it you will be stuck tied down by stories friendships, murders, betrayal, love, death.

And almost all of the beautifully complex stories come into existence by its self and inter actions with the other community members.

It is amazing.

~Have you made any friends during your time in this community?~

Oh yes I made a ton Geolash, Franko, Galland, Flapjack, Levy, Aurora Sky, Cid. Just to name a hand full.

This community is filled with amazing people.

~Is there something that you would like to see added to our community?~

I would like to see the old whitelist back. yes it may be more work but it deters trolls.

And also writing rules in your own words makes it so the person remembers it better and for longer.

And it takes a special kind of dedicated troll to sit down and write down a book report of text in order so he can go and troll the server. And I would love to see the march to realism and good RP continue. If I compare footage from the mod and to video`s from now I think that the community went forward in huge leaps Rp wise.

~What are some of your most memorable DayZRP experiences?~

My first time getting tortured by the reapers. I was walking on a full server for 6 hours not finding a soul so I contacted the reapers, who I had a conflict with at the time giving them my location and telling them to give me good RP and they delivered in spades.

Getting cut up carved up in a dark barn in the middle of nowhere.

The whole war after that was an amazing experience.

And a few months later when a pregnant Geo and a over stressed Timmy left their outpost due to continues attacks. The resulting mental break down, break up and make up was some of the best RP I have had in my life.

Kenji`s emotional breakdown in front of Zhoe. The whole day prior was a build up. Kenji`s short temper due to sitting on his emotions for to long. coming close to killing people and minor arguments finally caused a huge argument to happen and ending in Kenji spilling his guts to Zhoe.

And I have many more.

~ Do you have a video of your favorite roleplay moment you would like to share with us?~

~Do you have a video of your favorite funny moment ingame you would like to share with us?~

~If a Zombie apocalypse would happen in Real life, what would you do and what items would try to take with you?~

My climbers pickaxe good for making holes in heads quietly.

~How would you describe your playstyle on our Servers?~

Story chaser. I tend to avoid PvP situations where it is possible and sometimes this results me getting captured where I could have easily ran or fought back. That way there is a chance for my story to progress or a new story to start.

~ Is there anything in particular that you're looking forward to with DayZSA?~

More bio hazard gear! And mod support.

~What do you feel is the best thing about DayZRP and our community?~

The creative nature of most its members and their dedication to their rolls is amazing in cases.

~Do you have any tips or hints for newcomers?~

Don`t worry about your gear to much. That way you get less mad when it gets taken or if you die. DayzRP is about the story not the outfit.

If you make your first character make him/her allot like your self and talk to people in game.

Don't be afraid to walk up to people and start a conversation, that is where most great stories start so go forth and make small talk.

And keep your first character simple if you have little RP experience.

And finally in the beginning don't be afraid to make a new character when you die. That way you can experience a few of the almost endless rolls to fill, that way you can more easily find the little corner that fits you the best

~Is there anything you would like to see more of within the community?~

More story driven Rp`ers. There can never be enough of those. The type of players that keep developing there characters and story as they live through the apocalypse. There can never be enough of those people.
