Members only section on forums

Tshere should be a section on the forums that only unbanned  and whitelisted members should be able to access. I feel like it could be a place for threads that have to deal directly the servers and special information. This could have been useful during the ddos in order  to talk to the community without the attacker having knowledge

Seems like the DDoS attacks are fairly indiscriminate or did a lot occur specifically during scheduled RP events? I'm not seeing what a members only section would do to prevent DDoS.

I would have to disagree with this. I understand where you are coming from however nothing can prevent a whitelisted member from passing any of that information on to the person who is attacking DayZRP.

I agree it is not necessary, but could be helpful if important information needs to get out without it being as easy to access by other people. This way members on the server could also voice formal complains and other information without players who are unaffected joining and cluttering up the thread.

My ideas regarding the DDOS were more along the lines of give us the IP addresses in private forums and not have them displayed on homepage for a bit. This would not make it impossible for the attacker to ddos, but at the very least would waste more of his time.

As someone who has been perma'd before I can tell you that as a perma'd player you cannot see much of the forums.  Also there are sections you cannot see if you are not logged in.  Try logging out of the website and then browsing. Its more than someone who is perm'd can see, but still limited.
