We would like to ask the community and the players if they wish to wipe the server and have a fresh start once the server is stable and has DDoS protection and all that.

How it would work IC:

- Our characters will keep all the memories etc

- We will RP that island was struck by an earthquake which caused wipe of all structures and terraforming changes.

Nah. I want to keep my skills.

Sure, this sounds like a good idea. If this was done, I suppose I would start playing.

My personal opinion:

- This would be a good thing

- Fair start to everyone, those who have played that game before LiF RP and those who have played it for the first time

- No bugs end errors caused by the fact that database was moved to the new server (for example VoIP bug)

I can imagine that a lot of people who have put in many hours into building their things despite DDoS would not be happy. Myself I don't really care for one way or the other so it's really up to you the players this time ;)

We can always set skill multiplier a little bit higher for the first week or two after the wipe.

That sounds pretty fair, I would be down for a wipe if we implemented that.

Many (including myself) would be very upset, not only by the skill loss, but the loss of the settlements that have been made. Takes a shit load of effort and time to prepare the ground for a settlement, and then put in the work gathering the resources, making the required tools and building everything.

In all honesty, I think a full wipe will drive away a lot of players that are strongly established within the game at this point.

Not to mention a stable server is probably not close to occurring, so there will be more progress in between.

I agree. I stopped playing because of the unstableness, so it would be fair to everyone involved to do this.

You have a link "undo vote" at the top of the poll.

I can play every few days for maybe 20 minutes. MY friends and I managed to make a somewhat stable camp through out this. However a fresh start might be good for the server as a whole. Starting with a stable server and everyone even might just be what it needs.

Id say no to an xp multiplier however as its too easy to gain xp.

[align=justify]I'm going to say no to this. I've invested a lot of time to create not only my home at the outskirts of the settlement but also the settlement itself. That includes time spent on getting stuff to trade that people so I can get what I need (even if it was overpriced). I think I'm not the only one that was trying to find the time when the server is not being DDOSed etc. At this point when I have finally time to travel across the map and see how the settlements are expanding I hope this whole work won't go to waste.  Starting from the scratch would strongly discourage me.

[align=justify]EDIT: Skill multiplier - As it can be a good thing if the wipe happens it would force people to play so they can rebuild their skill before multiplier gets lowered (some may be not able to play during that period etc)

No. I'm sorry I need to keep my town.

I would like this actually, as I have thought to start fresh anyway. With wipe it would be easier as I wouldn't have to try and delete everything my self :D

I'm all for this. Now people know the basics of the game, I think it would benefit everyone if we were to start from scratch. No staff town, just people building their settlements, trading, and warring with eachother.

If the vote is yes and we eventually get a stable server on which to restart. Trading for solo playears like myself will be a bitch without Perfurgium to go to and know that I could trade there. Will settlements stay in the same location or will players rush to steal other people's location or groups move their settlements? I love living alone because I can't do everything alone and require the trade which gets me RP.

Plus getting construction to 90 again will be a major buzz kill...

OK, in the beginning i was for a server wipe because I was frustrated that i couldn't level my skills. But now I am against a wipe. Our group was online, checking every single minute if the server is on and we kept playing even if the server was online for only one minute. It is unfair for people like us to wipe all the progress they made. Others could have done the same and wait for the server to get on, but they didn't want to do it. This is a survival game and with good teamwork everyone can achiev to become a strong settlement.

No. For me and my group, we have spent a lot of time trying to work around the DDOS, and have established quite the settlement due to our persistence instead of waiting for them to become stable. I feel it would be quite unfair to us, to have lost all that time for nothing. And personally, I would probably not begin playing again. A few of us often sit there watching the server and using as much time as we can get when it is up. The fact that others chose to avoid the server completely until it was stable, is understandable, but should not affect us.

I do think it would be a good idea, to raise the multiplayer for a few days, in order to allow those people to catch of to those of us who are already established. I do not feel this would cause any issue, especially because nobody on the server has acted hostile towards anyone yet. So at the time, there is no threat.
