Can't connect to any TS servers

Question

Polaroid    2

I recently bought a new laptop and the TS which worked fine at first, but when I try to join now it kicks me after a few seconds. I asked a friend and he said that it just says that I 'lost connection'. I have tried re-installing TS, restarting my laptop etc. but nothing seems to work. I don't seem to have any issues with anything else apart from the problem with the TS. Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Could you screenshot the error message that it gives you when you get disconnected?

I would but I can't even connect now. It just keeps saying "Failed to connect to server".

It could be a problem with your ISP, are you having issues with anything else?

I can't seem to log on to my EA origins account without having to open it up in Chrome first. Don't know if that is related or not.

Have you tried restarting your router?

Yes.

Somehow it all works fine on my desktop computer, just the laptop that's that I have the issue with. Both my computer and laptop use McAfee, the only difference between the two is that my laptop runs on Windows 10 and the computer run on 7. Not sure if any of this info can help solve the problem.

It sounds like it could be an issue with Windows 10 and your laptop, Perhaps a corrupted system file, Have you tried re-installing Windows 10?

Before re-installing windows...

Try simply restarting your computer,

Try running TS as administrator if it will let you.

Re-install the latest Teamspeak version.

Disable Mcafee, try it without mcafee firewalls, or see if you can add Mcafee to an exemption

I dont know if its the same situation but:

my sis had the problem as well today: She could not connect to any ts servers.

Updating TS to the latest version fixed the problem for her.

I have gone back to Windows 8.1 and it seems to have done the trick. Thank you.

Cheers for the input everyone, very helpful. :)
