Powerful Characters

So tell me about some RP characters/groups which you believe are very powerful.

This dosent have to be military power, it could be the power of influence - whatever you want!

I believe a group I was in - The Vigil was extremely powerful by influence, not military because the group stood up to the biggest group at the time- The Reapers.

I believe the Vigil-Reaper war shaped Chernarus's groups and people how it is today.

I think my brother Jay Clark is very powerful. Couldnt tell you why, I just think he is.

Johnny Denver of The Gamblers. I didn't see him too often, but the times I did he was either demanding respect (and receiving it) or standing around the corpses of his enemies.

The Colony actually gave people a reason to log onto the shitshow that was .55

That's pretty powerful.

The juggernaut always pulls off a powerful character. I particularly liked Sasha. People tend to listen.

The "family" were very influential/powerful in all incarnations (I only saw the family personally iirc)

The masquerade in my opinion when you could go to vybor military and ask a random person and hear the fear in their voices when they spoke of them.

It's actually hard to think of any characters or groups around nowadays that stick out to me, hopefully this will change soon. I will do some that immediately come to mind from the past instead. 

Past Characters:

Joffrey  - Always took the RP to a completely different level and everyone who was anyone knew him in the Family.

Johnny Denver - In the Gamblers, Johnny got the respect he demanded and not very many people would go toe to toe with him.

Past Groups:

The Family - Everyone talked about the crazy people in Novy and their RP was phenomenal. People still mention them IC to this day. And it didn't close after three weeks.

The Irish - Regardless of their reputation ingame, people knew and feared them. It reached a point where people would run away from them more often than staying and talking, even if there was only one.

Alex Sommers ( <3 ) is very powerful to me. But thats for multiple reasons.

She has strength in herself, over other (I.E. my character, Rex) and she dictates her own actions.

I'd have to say that all my experiences with Johnny Denver have been highly enjoyable. He is a very powerful character and you feel it in the RP. I'd call out Matthew, Louie, Tim, and Calypso. You know who you all are.

Oh, and Tosha Sanira. She is best.

I'm not too sure about recently, but the 'family' and the Irish definitely left a big impact on everyone I would imagine. I've heard there was a point where people were scared of anyone who sounded Irish because they thought they were part of the Irish group. (even if it was just some random Irish guy)

 With the 'family', I had seen things escalate very quickly in a lot of situations, if people said or did the wrong thing toward them. I can't even remember how many times I heard NOT to go into the Novy church with them, random people took their shoes off to go inside almost every time it was requested. People walked barefoot out of fear and respect, that's pretty hard to beat IMO.

Vigil was not powerful. If it would have been powerful it would have stayed at the Kremlin. 

I'd say the family, amount of people who told me to stay away from novy.

I'd also make a vote for saoirse, happened quite a few times that people bolted away after hearing the accent. And people would leave if they heard the Irish was coming.

Thats fear.

Vigil was not powerful. If it would have been powerful it would have stayed at the Kremlin. 

Pretty much this. Vigil didn't have an impact in the grand scheme of things.

Family and Saoirse v1 are the only two real groups that people had any sort of fear from during Standalone, and they've both been gone for ages. Hopefully this is only down to SA being through an incredibly rough stretch, especially with the no zombies bit. Hopefully as the game gets more developed this will change and we'll start seeing groups like these again.

Seymour - He's a really rough character but inspires a lot of respect. He seems like the kind of guy who has men who are willing to die for him.

Alyssa Morgan - I'm surprised she wasn't mentioned yet. I think she holds the most influential power over the people of South Zagoria.

Johnny Denver - People either fear him or respect him. Some both. I think he's a great leader.

Marshal - All round badass. Honorable, respectful, loyal, determined. Shows great leadership traits. Logical thinker.

I believe Sister Mary Thompson was a very powerful character. Her ability to manipulate people into doing her bidding was exceedingly impressive.
