What exactly is the purpose of this thread?

This thread is for posting Dank OC (Original Content) which are "jokes" that are original (OC obviously isn't restricted to jokes). What I mean by "original" is that you take something like an image, a gif or video that is not necessarily funny (like Lemon's tiger gif) and then add your content on it, most of the time the jokes on Dank OC are "inside jokes" where only a few people will get it. To summerize, Dank OC is an original joke that no one has made before the OP.

Now according to a lot of people here a "meme" is some shitpost on a meme generator that already has a joke format on it where you simply add on your "content" for example:

 

These "memes"  already have a format of some sort like the one above. Most of these jokes are trends (sort of like a Vine, which are also very unfunny and washed out) that everyone reposts endlessly with slight variations on them bringing no originality, thus making them very stale. Examples of Websites that hosts these great "memes": Facebook, 9gag, funnyjunk, etc...

I guess they are very hilarious and original for a whole lot of people, hence why they are this popular. Some people however, have a more acute sense of humor that can only be satisfied with Dank Original Content.
