During the day I managed to collect enough food and water to last me along time

Even managed to grab 4 fuel containers and a gas lantern.

Spent nearly 2 solid hours wandering down the roads of the game, humming, singing and whistleing into my mic.

I figured the easiest time to meet people and form groups would be at night because one should be able to pick 

out light sources from much further away.

This plan did not work, it did not work so hard.

all I did was freak myself out, get spooked, and

found my first zombie ever!

and my second

and the third and forth.......

Is this bad luck or do the undead only come out at night?

and are they attracted to the nose my me calling out into the darkness or the light I have waving around?

bla bla bla, DAM this map is big! could not find ANYONE!

What are some of the things you guys do during the spoopy night times?

I have a habit of going to lakes that have a dock, and resting by the dock as my character looks to the sky (assuming I am playing alone). I might spend a few minutes there, or I might spend an hour there singing, humming, whistling, or allowing my character a chance to read and think about life. I haven't done this in some time. One of these days I'll have to do it again.

Or sometimes, I have found myself stalking people.

You know... for my own safety.

Essentially. If you are playing along and it's night, it doesn't have to be scary. It can be a time to do some solo RP and maybe build your character somewhat that way. You might even actually find someone to RP with that way. If I'm alone I might just start singing to myself. I've had a few people approach me because of it.

Playing alone at night is always a bit creepy to me. The sounds of the wind and fences clanging are unnerving. When the undead were in the game, that sound they made could make my blood run cold!

I do tend to run around since it's a bit safer in this patch, but I'm always looking over my shoulder. The times I'm not so paranoid, I tend to walk peacefully, thinking and watching the stars/sky and moon. It's really quite pretty. I'll also use that time to search, organize my pack or other mundane things. Spookiness aside, I kinda like the night. I mean, I am a night owl

Why of course I loot the local police station for their endless supply of chemlights ( Why they have a whole rainbow, I'll never know) and traverse the streets of South Zagoria whilst singing Russian classics. Haven't been shot yet.

I hate night time I really do but one thing I really enjoy is walking around with a flare or chemlight it gives the whole nighttime a better atmosphere rather than the grey screen you get which looks annoying. Campfires are also cool especially nighttime fishing next to a small pond with a campfire next to you is something I love doing

During the night time i just throw chemlights and roadflares all over the place.

That and sit in random places watching youtube on my phone until the sun comes up. (I usually Text-RP if an encounter comes up, that or i just pause my youtube stuff )

I prefer the daytime, to be honest.

During nighttime I like to sit by the fire with friends and just relax.

Some of the best RP I've had was during night time. Its a completely different atmosphere and the mood of the group changes. Whether your telling stories or cooking dinner you can always have some good times when the sun goes down.

Walking around at night with a torch or a flashlight can be fun. Its also really beautiful if you have decent graphics settings.

Yeah it can be, i have done it also few times, one good way to make people find you also.

I love sneaking around at night. It's crazy how much information you can get from someone when they don't know you're there. However, it would be nice if it wasn't night 95% of the time like it feels and raining the other 5%.
