Possible Hack

I think I may have found a Hack while in game. I was at the military camp that is North West of Zelenagorsk. While I was there I was running through the area looking for a few items and came across something slightly disturbing. When I entered the barracks that is there. Not a full entire barracks like at the airfields but the barracks that is found at the military camps I was a little worried to find it looked as though someone hacked in over 100 items.

I do have video footage of me being insde the barracks and showing some items that were in there. Items included are plate vests (several), sweaters, AK 101's atleast 3. MP5's pistols ammo press vests and a few other things. I am not sure if the military camp barracks are set to spawn in gear in that way but I though it was something to bring to someone's attention.

It's called loot cycling. A bug with the loot economy at the moment, in the game - Not a hack.

It's someone who has lootcycled, basically abusing the games loot spawn mechanics to trick it into spawning alot more than it should.

You'd have to catch the people responsible in the act to be able to do something about it. If done on a large enough scale it can break loot-respawns completely.

What you describe sounds more like loot cycling than hacking, If you catch someone cycling the loot then you should try to get there name and video evidence of them doing it and report it as it is against the rules

And I know what loot cycling looks like and there isn't a way this could have been loot cycling. well ok it may have been but not in the way the loot in the barracks was.

Upload the video to YouTube, make it unlisted*. Send the link to the video to a member of staff.

Try posting it privately to a website host like YouTube, then linking it specifically in the PM. Just an option.

It is called a loot explosion or lootplosion.  We found that exact same one you are describing.  Wasn't loot cycling that caused it as far as I could tell just dayz's shitty spawn system.  That by far was the biggest lootplosion I have ever seen though.  I grabbed a load of .45 and we snatched some umps and went on our way.  Overall 10/10 gear rp session.

man you found a UMP now I am upset lol. I have been looking for that gun for 2 days lol. and to think it was in there damn it. Well kinda sucks to know I missed it. But it looked hacked too me. I sent the video to Sung so we will see what he says. a little upset I missed the ump in the lootplosion.

After having a look at it, it just looks like a loot explosion. These happen sometimes due to the loot spawning system not working as intended.

Nothing on the video suggests hacking. However, if you do suspect that someone is hacking, refer to the following rule so you know how to report such an instance.

For now, I will solve this thread.

unfortunately I am unable to do so. The last human contact that I had or at least that I was aware of was back in north Zelenagorsk when I heard someone who was clicking a empty pistol or possibly something bigger. I never found the person in the area but they sounded to be in the trees north of where I was when I was looking over Zelenagorsk from north of the town. So I was probably about 5 minutes behind someone possibly 10 minutes. Just never caught up to them.
