alt account ban?

Why the verdict is not fair:

As my account is not an alternate account and I believe it was mistaken for an alternate account, as I logged  on to read the forums on a computer at my sixth form college, a fellow student and good friend of mine also logged into his account and due to the same IP address it has been mistaken for an alternate accounts.   

 Additional statements/comments explaining your point of view:

 I know why this has been mistaken and I wont be doing it again. 

What would you like to achieve with this appeal:

 for the ban to be lifted so I can whitelist and hopefully get into the server

What could you have done better?:

 not logged on in a public place as this easily could easily be mistaken for having an alternate due to the same IP.
