Update Wipe

Hi everyone,

I have been told that the next update to hit will have a wipe and I was simply wondering if this will be a map wipe (all stash points removed) or a server wipe with stash/characters being wiped?

It will most likely be a full wipe: character + persistance wipe.

Usually when the servers get updated. They almost always get wiped.

Yes, if there is a wipe it will be a full persistence and character reset. If they didn't wipe persistence, people could just put all the items in their tents, or vice versa. I would definitely expect a wipe with the new changes and vehicles they are implementing as well.

I doubt they've changed that much to the point where the servers need a wipe. If they do wipe its fucking pointless

I was under the impression that a wipe will only be done if there's a huge update AND for example they've come up with a solution to some duping issues, meaning they want to delete the duped items from the servers.

Your correct.  This current patch had been bad for duping.   So they need to clean out all the M4s and SVDs lol.    But a fresh start isn't too bad.  Just means an opportunity to bring in a new character or take an old one in a new direction.

Yeah i agree, i care about RP not how much i have in my backpack. Although i do feel bad for the guys that have set up camps with tents, barrels, found all their friends ect.

But at least it will be a great opportunity for you guys to meet some new players like me
