Spooky Places

Ever go to a city or just a certain area of South Zagoria that gives you the wrong kind of chills? I was playing alone tonight, curious to see what the "military base" directly north of Severograd was like. I was met with rubble of small buildings, completely obliterated stone fences rather than the damaged ones you see at other military places. I felt as if something bad had happened in this little area, a story that might not ever get explained. I've never felt so isolated in all my time of playing Standalone. It was kind of scary, to be honest. The grass was a lot taller in this area compared to other sites and it just felt so unkempt.

You guys ever go to a place that makes you feel something like this? Just spooked or kind of nervous? Please share, I'm curious and I want to explore new places.

Before they added the body pit, I always got a more somber/peaceful kinda vibe from that base. No people, no zombies, just a lot of silent, overgrown ruins.

At night, raining, only a headtorch at an summer camp. I keep hearing noises but when I check around there is no one. Seems like a horror movie

There are a couple of places deep in the woods that look like pagan altar ruins. On a bright moonlit night they give off a creepy vibe and plenty of odd sounds. Very unnerving, but cool!

I've always thought Novy Sobor was kinda spooky. No idea why, maybe its just because the family used to hang out there. I guess places can seem scary based on associations you've made. Not sure why people aren't scared of Green Mountain... place is probably haunted as shit by now

it's in the hills between myskino and pustoshka, there is this place Claristic showed me, it's like this little ritual spot, we call it the Blair Witch Project. with the way the objects there reassemble a scene from the show.

Pinewood (Stary Yar) man. I swear there was something spooky going on in the woods surrounding the town. I always felt like I was being watched, and it seemed so damn random when someone would end up coming up and finding us in the town. We usually didn't even know they were there until they were in VOIP range. Creepy shit man.

Then there was the time that someone stole Oyface's clothing he dropped in the town, and then we found him an hour later and he essentially suicided himself.

Not necessary a place more like everywhere. But sometimes character models pop behind and I turn see them, turn back and they're not there.... Like... OK.... I think fences are haunted cause it always happens near wooden fences.

+1 to this, came across this once and logged immediatly until day came. Genuinely terrifying that place!

I am really creeped out by Vishnoye. Anyone else? I don't know what it is, but the place is not only deserted every time I go there, it just feels off, so picturesque but so dead.
