Hello.

 So I guess I should start off by explaining the situation..

I used to play on here back on arma 2 dayz mod. I stopped playing due to not having the time anymore due to life and work.

I was convinced to apply again by a friend. I came to the website and saw it had my old login with my old clan tag. I am no longer with that clan and didn't see an option to edit my name, so I made a new account under a different name. I completed the test but missed 2 questions. It told me to wait 6 hrs and try again.

 Well, 2 weeks later I came back to redo the test only to discover that I am perma-banned for having 2 accounts. I didn't realize that was going to be an issue.

 Not really knowing what to do I jumped in TS and explained my issue to an admin. He told me to post here, so here I am.

 I hope this issue can be resolved so I may be able to join my friend in some interesting RP.

Hello,

We only allow one account per user. You know this. The only way to change your forum name is through our donation system which is how it has always been. The only way people's usernames can be changed is if the name they register with is  inappropriate in some form.

On the first page of our whitelist system (something you viewed with your new account as you attempted to whitelist) it says this:

I now give you a choice. You can either continue to be a part of this community using your original account, or you can not and instead, remain banned.

Please let us know your choice as soon as possible by posting in this appeal.

I did not know this at the time, or I would not have done it. Hence my need to post this appeal. I did not see that rule until after I made my new account,  and by that time it was too late. Surely you don't expect me to remember a rule from a server I last played on in 2013 when first logging into it's webpage. Here are my exact words: "I came to the website and saw it had my old login with my old clan tag. This is not how it has always been. I clearly remember changing my name at least twice back when I used to play here.

The first time was when I was promoted within the clan I was in and changed my name to reflect that. The second time was because Rolle got onto me about my name not fitting in the name field on the forums. The only thing on the donations page back then was skins.

I would like to use my original account considering I don't really have a choice in the matter. I would like to see the clan tags on it removed if possible, but if not I'll understand. I find my original name inappropriate for 2 reasons if that matters. The first reason is because I am no longer in that clan. The second reason can be explained in private if needed.

After discussing your case between ourselves, the staff team have decided to give you the benefit of the doubt in regards to your misunderstanding when it comes to having one account per individual.

With your request to change your username, we are unable to grant that for you. This is because if we make an exception for you, then we would need to keep consistency in the future, leading to other people getting name changes who don't meet the requirements to do so. Unfortunately for you, this means you will be stuck with your old username unless you decide to donate to the required rank.

What we will do is delete the account that created this appeal while also granting you access to your old account. If you decide that you don't want to keep your old account in the future, and you decide to make another account, you will end up in the same position that you are in at the time of this verdict being written.

Do not try to circumvent this issue again in order to get a new username, this would not coincide with the agreement you made when you had first registered.

Considering it has been a while since you have played here, we require you to partake in our new whitelist system in order to play on the servers again. You will have 5 chances to pass the whitelist otherwise a blacklist will be added to your account. If you have questions on our rules (which have also been updated since you last played) and the whitelisting process, feel free to ask for help.
