THE EVENT IS OFFICIALLY OVER

I want to thank everyone that joined this unique event. First time an event went on for so long. We did it guys, 2 weeks! The event was a complete success, apart from a few (Starvations, Dehydrations, Heart Attacks) due to no Apple Trees and Water Well, we all did phenomenal well. Virtually no fuck ups that disrupted the event.

We got to live an actual lore for our characters before being on the mainland. You won't hear the usual (I was hiding in the woods all this time) story from us. We lived inside! We all made friends and enemies but best of all, we all lived this together! Are these inmates ready for the outbreak? Only time can tell. It's been truly a great experience that I will not soon forget and it's thanks to The Regulators, All the awesome inmates that joined (Alphy the real OG), The medics and of course DayZRP!

NONE OF THIS WILL BE WRITTEN IN CHARACTER. THIS IS TO SETUP A SCENARIO FOR A BUNCH OF PLAYERS TO ROLEPLAY OUT.

As a lot of you may know, I started my new character Tony Moretti. He's currently a prisoner on the Island of Austellus with The Regulators as guards/law enforcements. With my new character comes a new Youtube series (Season 3). Season 1 and 2 both have been featured in the DayZ Status Reports (Separate reports) showing how DayZRP can be an amazing place to play. So naturally I want to continue showing how awesome this community can be with some more excellent roleplay from everyone. I've always been heavy on featuring others around me and NOT just myself.

I am gonna go straight to the point. Not around 4 corners with too much info, I just wanna let you all know straight away what this is and what we need!

So on to the event shall we?

WHAT IS THE EVENT?

Simply put, this event is help promote the dayzrp server and community though my video series but also and MOST OF ALL, to have fun playing as a prisoner, something different, something interesting for everyone and course unique roleplay for all.

- If you wish to roleplay as a Guard, please refer to the Regulators Group Page and apply there.

- This is in NO WAY a scripted event, looking for genuine roleplay.

- We need a bunch of people roleplaying as prisoners on the Island of Austellus throughout the 2 weeks.

- We're looking for about 10 prisoners at least (but more is great too) MUST BE NEW CHARACTERS WITH NO CONNECTION WITH THE OUTSIDE.

- You're Prison Character will have been in jail since at least 2 months after the outbreak (You've been jailed all this time).

- You don't HAVE to be there every single day, but still looking for devoted players who can be there a lot.

- You need to figure out your own background as a criminal on the island and reason why you'd be a prisoner.

- Make up your own character and don't be afraid to roleplay him/her (you can choose to be very silent or heard).

- You're not just an EXTRA for the series, this is authentic RP with the exception that I'm recording it.

- Once you arrive at the island, you'll be processed as a prisoner (make sure you have your story straight).

- Watch this trailer to get an idea of what will happen with you (

- Once a prisoner, you will stay on the island for about 2 weeks or until we find a way off the island.

- Please be advised, it's best you play this ONE character for the next 2 weeks (Don't get on and off the island).

- At any point or time, you are free to stop roleplaying your prisoner character.

- Most likely will be using the Regulator's Teamspeak channel during this time (Prisoner channel) but not needed.

- Be there, have fun being a prisoner, plan a way off the island with or without Tony.

It's a hard knock life!

WHEN DOES IT START AND END?

This is a 2 week long event. So be prepared to stay on the Island for said time (Again, free to stop at any time).

November 18th through December 2nd MAINLY ON SERVER 2 (US). Unless problems occur we'll go to S1.

DO I NEED ANYTHING ELSE?

If at all possible, bring a set of WHITE MEDICAL SCRUBS (this is your suit) and since it's hard in this patch to find Prisoner Suits, we'll be using White Scrubs. So if you can at all find some on your way to the island, that would be great. Pants and Shirt. If you manage to find a prisoner suit, that is fine too.

Place your gear in a barrel, a tent or whatever else you can use to store your items. Because if you show up at the island as a prisoner, you're going to lose your weapons and gear. All you'll have are the scrubs, jacket, food and drinks for the next 2 weeks or so. It's only natural as you are a PRISONER.

METAGAMING!

I know some people out there (OUT OF THE EVENT) may want to show up in the series by planning an attack on the island to "break us out" cause hey! That would be epic. Sure it may look cool and all, but I won't feature anyone breaking our event with such attacks. Please don't. If we see a surge of attacks when the event starts, we know this is metagaming and thus reports will follow. Unless you have had IC knowledge of all of this and somehow have been planing this prison break with an inmate inside (Which is impossible since inmates don't have radio contact with the outside), then please avoid trying anything just to be in the videos. The prison break will be done from the inside. Besides, there's always a chance of meeting me when I get out and thus being in a future episode. Thank you all for understanding.

Ah perhaps, I don't remember this. However this is 2 weeks long and not just a one day event :

The focus is also not surrounding a Break Out but rather a unique roleplay experience for 2 weeks as a prisoner (we may break out in the end)

I like this, however I have a few concerns. You say that prisoners on the inside will have no radio contact at all with anyone on the outside. Prisoners when they have recess can go and sneak into places with communications if they are smart enough. And let's be honest, the prison is basically a ruin now as some of it looks crumbled and messed up.

And what about if a randomer comes up and sees all the prisoners and wants to break them out?

Such an original idea with so much potential for great character development and some top notch RP. Hope it goes well, I eagerly await the release of Season 3....

We are very well aware that prisoners will have times where they can communicate with the outside, provided they get their hands on a radio or means of communication whilst inside. It's all going to be part of the experience, finding ROLEPLAY ways out of it all

If a (1) randomer does this, he will most likely be reported by someone for NVFL quite honestly. Listen, people never go to the island, I don't understand the reason behind going there in the first place unless, metagaming the forum (event) or proper radio transmission sent from the inside (which will most likely happen after a few days of roleplay inside). 

Yes the place is in ruins, however these types of establishments are built to last, regardless of paint coming off walls, it's still a tightly sealed place and would do more than enough to hold down prisoners. Also it's only been about a year since the outbreak, not 20 years the place should still hold in my honest opinion.

Hope this clears it up a little
