So recently I've been Role playing and came across a few people, because i was pretty under geared, i decide to head to the airfield. I search every building, barracks and tents gathering what i can, baring in mind the previous day i saw a lot of people with M4's so i gathered that i wanted one too, i'm not going to lie and say that "Its going to greatly improve my RP" because its not, but i was curious, where is everyone getting this so called 'Rare' weapon.

Meh, I hate having an M4 myself, but I heard there's a way to dupe. I have no idea how to do it, but M4's are not common items and in my honest opinion I think some form of duping or something is happening for all these people to miraculously find some. Personally, I have NEVER EVER found an M4 in the last 2 patches. NEVER! Not like I am trying to find one, but I simply never see one lying on the ground anywhere, heli crashes, tents, mil buildings. So yeah, I am pretty sure people are duping them or something.

I have also never ever found one and the only way I have ever had one is if someone has given it to me or I had to kill someone and they had one, To be honest if you want one, good luck finding it.

I havent found one in this patch but i know the tin barracks and western heli crashes are the best places to look.

(I saw above about possible duping of M4s and just want to remind everyone that if caught doing this harsh punishment will be given under the abuse of game mechanics/exploiting rules)

Any "Smoking" helicopter crashes (rare spawn), and very rarely in the semi-circle military buildings. There is two of that type of building at NWAF and one in the Myshkino tents.

The M4A1 only spawns 2 certain spots. One of them is in the Green Tin Barracks, also referred to as Officer Tent which are located on the North West Airfield and Myshkino Millitary Camp. The second place is at random UH1Y western crashsites. These are the smoking helicopters. This may change in the future but for the current patch, these are the spawnpoints.

The M4 is a rare beast.  I find the best way to get my hands on one is to trade for it or steal one.  Sadly I never seem to find any at helicrashes or officer barracks.   But strangely I find AUGs all the time in those locations.

The M4 isn't that rare, there is a ton of people who have one. I haven't gone looting in a while but last I checked they spawn in officer barracks. If you really want one I recommend you wait till early morning or late night to hop on and go loot the airfield and Myshkino tents. There is a little chance it will be there. If you want one really really really really bad, I guess you can attempt to take it from someone. Now keep in mind there are usually people who have friends around that will try to kill you if you do attempt to rob someone for it, but that is a risk you will have to take if you want it that bad. Robbing for gear is apart of banditry after all, that is how banditry began but include good hostile RP for at least 15 minutes I'd say with the person you are robbing. If you don't really want it that bad just get an AKM. AKM's are beasts if you can manage the recoil, which isn't that bad after the .58 patch was released.
