Me and my friends Kenny Dinori, Eli Washington were trying to get this guy that was on top of the radio tower in green mountain. He shot at me with a m4a1 and he killed one of our friends. So we tried to get him but there wasn't away up because he would just shoot us as soon as we got on the ladder so we decided to talk to him so we could discuss things but he didn't want to listen. So we got someone in a sniper position and he shot at him. We weren't sure if he killed him so i decided to go upstairs and as soon as i got upstairs i saw a guy standing infront of me with a m4 (The guy that shot me also had a m4). So i thought it was him and killed him as soon as i saw him. I guess it was just the wrong time at the wrong place. I'm sorry :\

Charlie Aberist POV:

My friend Will Rodgers was inside the compound with an unknown amount of people i made my way into the tower to insure his safety with these strangers. Will role playing a cocky guy was a bit rude to them and they then initiated on him (understandable) they took him hostage and one of there friends ended up in the tower i shot him and knocked him unconscious. i then proceeded to handcuff him and bandage him so that we may be able to trade hostages and then we could all walk away unharmed but instead they executed Will quickly and swiftly. (still understandable it was fast paced role play) someone i believe Eli Washington was the one who said and i quote (if you kill him you will die, if you let him go you will still die) so i made him stand on the balcony and i said (take a good hard last look at him and proceeded to execute him. let me clarify i normally would not have shot Azreal Hunter but he pulled his gun out and wouldnt let me in the tower and i also spotted a sniper in the woods outside so i was in fear for my life and needed to get into the building. i responded to everything i heard them stay and proceeded to talk to them even when they did not reply. after i was shot and killed someone else logged in and they killed him, seems like a classic case of mis-ID KOS

No i logged in got frames for two seconds froze up and the next frames I got were the you are dead screen

I would also like to point out the attempted abuse of game mechanics at 6:25. Kinda lame to look through walls.

My POV was that we had a situation going on in the compound with some cocky guys character. I initiated on him because i just wanted to see what his problem was. I then gave 10 seconds to tell his friend to leave the area or his friend dies. At about 3 seconds his friend opens fire so i execute the hostage. Then he shoots one of our friends who then goes unconscious and is taken captive. Eventually he is executed which is understandable. Then we try to wait the guy out in the tower. I see him trying to peak my friend so i shoot him and he disappears so i wasn't sure if had rag dolled and died. Rick had the biggest balls to go up there and check. When he got up there we saw a guy standing there with his weapon out with very similar looking gear so Rick of course shot him thinking he was our target and we didn't want to wait for him to raise his weapon and shoot us. In my opinion it was just completely the wrong place at the wrong time and was of course very unfortunate. We did not by any means do it on purpose for an RDM kill and are very sorry for the situation.

I had an M4 yes however my skin and clothing were far different, i was all tan and beige.

Reason:

Rick, in the report we feel that there was a mis-id on your part, when you went up into the tower you needed to be sure that the person you were looking at was the same person who was firing at you.  Now we do understand that the circumstances were very unusual.  Logging into the Green Mountain tower is a bad idea, and the OP should reconsider ever doing this in the future, that being said when you got up there pulling the trigger was your first instinct, when you probably could have initiated and identified.  The OP had his gun down and was not actively looking at you.  Like previously stated, it was a confusing situation, but a little more patience could have been taken here.

After the kill you have an obligation to stay on the server.  If the OP's group would have been around they would have had KOS rights on you for 2 hours.  In situations where you must log off you are required to stick around for a MINIMUM of 15 minutes.  The logs were the only proof needed here as you only stayed for 14 minutes.  While 1 minute may not seem like a big deal, it could be plenty of time for someone to catch up with you and resume roleplay, and regardless of that, this rule was not followed.

Also please note during the video, there was an attempt to look through the wall at the Green Mountain Tower, if you had actually succedded it would be an abuse of the game mechanics, the OOC chatter during the situation about not caring for your characters life should also be reconsidered.

While you have been found guilty on both accounts, the combat logging will be the only punishment applied as is standard to our community guidelines.  Take this time to review the rule set, and the infractions that were made during this report.

You are to be commended for what seems like a sincere apology, that did not go without notice.
