It'd be more useful for taking out vehicles I imagine.

It's useful to supress a group of people when you are on your own, and it's an indimating weapon that you can use to scare other people.

All I have to say is... suppressing fire!

In all seriousness, these kinds of weapons will do wonders against the impending threat of the infected as well as other players. If done right these weapons might be used for effective suppressing fire, ammo amount be damned.
