Detailed description of the events:

Cid and myself were playing on our alts. We met up with Brodie and when we told him that we wanted to head to Novy, he informed us that it would not be wise as he had heard lots of gun shots there.We decide to head there anyway as both Cid and myself play as cannibals that pick at the remains of a fight I.E. the dead body's. 

Upon arriving we heard mass gunfire just as Brodie had said. We pulled out our binoculars and notice that they are shooting in the air. We continue into the town and Brodie stayed behind as over watch.

As we get into town and are met by the group we asked why they were shooting and they responded that they were killing birds... I thought that odd as it was night I told them it was night and no birds were around to which the response was that they could hear birds or something like that.

Cid asked them to stop shooting as I did not like it and almost right after that the one that sounded like the old man asked where Brodie was. At this point I tell Cid to start Recording as they had no IC knowledge that Brodie was with us. We question them as how they know Brodie was with us and they could not give any real answer and the old man and another ran off behind us straight towards where we had left Brodie. The rest of us continue to talk and I RPed out that Sue does not like gunfire and I beleive we ask them to stop. After talking a bit more I make the excuse to go look for "beans" trying to see if there is in fact a body.

We made it to the well and I was about to tab out and go into their T.S. to talk to them about knowing Brodie was with us when another hail of gunfire goes off.

At that point I decide to let Cid keep recording and just get the heck out of there as the Overall RP seemed Trollish and all over the place. I walked away from Cid and started to leave but had to turn back as I noticed Cid had stayed behind. From here on out I did not pay much attention to anything they were saying and simply got Cid and headed out of town.

The event over all took about 15 min. I understand that the numbers on the servers are low due to a new game however I have RPed with some of these guys before and did not have this issue of borderline bad RP. I understand that the low numbers on the server can make things boring however in my opinion it should not have led to an encounter like this.

POV - We met brodie 20 min Before. One of them said "Wheres brodie" Then i noticed him in the trees. I didnt know it was him but i ran after the guy pointing a gun at us. It didnt cross my mind to be Brodie. I first started to Jogg towards him. Then all the sudden he sprinted away, So i sprinted after him.

After talking about it in TS Me, Aurora, and Cid figured out the person who meta gamed. I apologized to Aurora for ruining her RP, But that being said i did not metagame.

Someone IC knows Brodie is friends with Luanne so when we see Brodie in Novy sobor we ask him some questions

Where is he going,what is he doing etc he replies he's heading to meet up with his friend we ask who his friend was he replies Cid. We exchange some words and he heads off.

We was shooting out weapons as we was target practising and we was doing firing lines in the air. Not going to lie we was bored and was just trying to have fun.

We were at Novy, we are shooting around town looking for RP (As only like 10 people were in server) we see Broadi in Novy said he was headed to Gorka to meet some friends. I get pushy with questions on who he is meeting, he states he is meeting a Cid and continues on towrds Gorka. We continue to RP with areselfs and continue to waste some ammo (Target practice and showing off guns and whatnot) after moments of RP Cid and his friend show up after I asked their names and whatnot I reconized Cid since Broadi said he was meeting them, and asked where Broadi was and thats when George noticed him in the woods and chased after him. After hearing that she don't like gunshots, we decide to let a hail fire of bullets out (In hopes it would get hostle but didnt) we moved to the watering hole to get water and whatnot and noticed they were still their they leave we continue to stay on Novy and RP with areselfs...

I don't understand where "bad rp" came in besides the birds at night, as for calling broadi shit breath I have been doing that for almost a week now

I don't have a recording of when I meet with Broadi in Novy and asked him where he was going (Thought he was going to go RP with Max and Rivi and was gonna tag along) not word for word as I can't reamber but it went along these lines

Yes after awhile when it was just us in the server (along with 2 others who we know OOC) we decided to start fighting.

Hell yea. We was on the server with maybe 2/3 other people we was really bored so we decided to have a fight club...then turned into a brawl...Then turned into swords and maces

So, basically, I went through Novy to go meetup with Cid and Sue, and Marek and Yeri questioned me about who I was meeting up with, I said I was meeting up with someone they wouldn't know, they asked their name, I said Cid. Then I ran off towards Gorka, then when I got to a treeline I changed course towards Kabinino. While running towards Kab, there was a load of shots coming from Novy, so I booked it. I then ran into Sue and Cid, and told them about the events that have been going on at Novy, so they decided to go back. I hid in a treeline immediately beside piano house, and sat in a bush watching them, I wore all black, and it was night time, so it was very hard to notice me from about 200 meters away. I sat there scoped in, and suddenly Sue and Cid, both started saying in TS, they're meta-gaming that you're here, so I decided to get up and move, they seen me, but there was no way of knowing it was me, or that I was there, apart from the fact that I mentioned Cid earlier, the BadRP, I wasn't really there for, but that's my POV on the meta-gaming situation.

The video evidence that I have has been provided to a staff member.  Along with that, with the information that Brodie has now provided (which he had not told us about last night) we will be dropping the metagaming as it appears that there was none.

PoV:  We were coming up to Novy from the northern side.  We heard shots, so we stopped to look into the town to make sure that we weren't walking into a firefight.  Brodie noticed that they were just firing into the air, so we decided to have Brodie hang back and Sue and I enter the town slowly just in case.  As we were coming into town the shooting continued, and as we got close to the barns we could start hearing the cracks.  Eventually, they noticed us coming into town and approached us.  George (the old man) started to wave around his gun and shoot, and knowing that Sue didn't like guns I asked him along with the others to cut it out with the shooting while we were in town.  When asked why they were shooting, they initially said that they were shooting at birds, but the old man eventually asked us if he really needs a reason to shoot a gun.

When we gave them our names, one of them started to ask where Brodie was, which confused us.  We asked Brodie in TS if he mentioned us at all to these guys, but he told us that he only said to them that he was going to get friends and mentioned no one by name.  Of course, now that Brodie has mentioned in the post above that he did actually mention my name there is no reason to pursue any accusations of metagaming.  As mentioned above we will be dropping that charge.  The old man and one other person (I believe it was Wong) ran off to go to Brodie.  After asking for some food, we decided to go further into the town to look for more food, and when we reached the well at the Novy church we heard even more gunshots out of random.  I believe I have recording of this as my current recording that I've sent to staff does not cover these last shots.

The reason we claim BadRP is that we feel that they had no real reason to be shooting.  It was pointless, random, and given the setting their original excuse didn't really make any sense.  To us it seemed like they were shooting about just for the heck of it and really had no real reason.  It almost caused problems between our characters just because they were bored.

Lindwood Parrish POV: I rolled up to Novy on my alt after running from Barenzino. I don't know Brodie on my alt. I didn't know any of them. We just kind of became friends. Cid and Aurora can't by and the other 3 guys found Brodie.

Regarding the logs: we had a brawl. It started as organized fist fights, but it turned into an all out brawl because our characters didn't know each well enough to properly fist fight, so it turned into sucker punches. I told them ig if I got snuck on one more time id shoot the bastard who did it in the foot. Jay snuck me so I shot him in the foot. His character was not pleased IG so he returned fire with an SVD, hitting me in the leg, and spraining my ankle. We called a ceasefire, and all was well again.

I didn't think anything was "Bad RP". There were IC reasons for everything that happened. I don't know how the Brodie situation was badRP. It wasn't trolling. I was on an alt so I don't have a deep history with anybody.

I understand that server numbers are low and you may have been bored however it is never a good Idea to behave this way, simply based upon that. As stated prior, regardless of server population your rp quality should always stay the same.

It shouldn't matter what time it is or how many people are on the server, if you log into DayZRP you should expect a good rp experience.

Im glad everyone has talked this situation out and hopefully have learned from this report.
